Chapter Text
Jovial music sounded in the room, Floyd leant heavy on Riddle's arm as he purred like a cat. The banquet was loud, joyful. Kingdoms all around gathered in the kingdom of hearts, sharing wine and food in celebration.
After all, it had been years since a royal wedding.
Riddle chuckled as his new husband kissed the edge of his jaw, body snuggling closer with a churl.
“Can't wait fer tonight Goldfishie~”
Riddle scoffed, poking the other's nose with a laugh.
“If you keep calling your husband, and king, that foolish nickname, he might just not be with you tonight, im certain that Trey and Jade can keep me company~”
Floyd scowled at the, teeth sinking into flesh as Riddle yelped at the nip.
“My goldfish!”
Riddle scoffed, but placated him with a pet and chuckled.
“Silly eel…”
There was another purr, a familiar tail brushing his cheek while a cheeky laugh called from beside him.
“Heya Queenie~”
Riddle smiled, nudging the other's cheek with his own as the feline rumbled, flopping onto his lap, letting Riddle pet his stomach like he was a house cat.
“Che’nya, how are you finding the festivities?”
He chuckled, tilting his head back as Floyd lifted his own hand to scratch under his chin.
“Fun~ how are nya find’en yer hubby?~”
Riddle scoffed.
“Annoying.”
The night carried on with chuckles and jests. Words shared and love departed. Everything was perfect. And that was all Riddle could ask for.
Floyd had found what he was looking for. His heart is now full.
And Riddle was finally allowed to spread his wings.
The bird and the eel, free at last.
