   The cyborg actually seethes at this, camera lenses whirring as Wes swallows. “I’m not looking at you,” it spits. “If anyone needs to stop looking at the other, it’s you.”

   Wes can’t even defend themself. They’re curious, nothing else. They decide to say that, exactly like that, and the cyborg groans with impatience. It’s so very close to being human that it startles Wes. “I’m not looking at you like anything,” Wes says, stubbornly, and internally kicks themself.
