Chapter Text
Mildred POV
Welcome to season two of Total Drama! I’m Millie Whitley, your host for this season. So, here’s what we have; 24 campers will be split into 2 teams and will compete for the million dollars. Last season was on Wawanakwa but due to the accidents that occurred there? We decided to host this season on Pahkitew Island, an abandoned movie set island that was meant to look and adapted to be as realistic as possible. The cast is currently aboard a blimp en route to the new island. A cute-looking athlete who understands Cree named Sky observes a girl who dresses & acts like a mix between Snow White and Cinderella, named Ella humming along to a swinging light. Sky takes out a piece of gum for herself and offers some to a guy who thinks he is evil named Max, who warns her that this gesture would not save her from his "pure evil," but nonetheless accepts. However, he quickly spits it out, due to disliking the cinnamon flavor and deems it too spicy. A "normal" guy, who is also a bit time germaphobe, named Dave watches this exchange and comments on how Max is "a little weird," and turns around to see Gunner, wrapping his hands. “If dr. half-pint gives you trouble, you come see me,” he offers. He was a red-head with dark green eyes, though his outfit is pale yellow turtleneck, a teal t-shirt, white dress pants, magenta socks, and brown dress shoes. Ella begins to sing with beat-box accompaniment from Lenny, a farm hand who does acapella in his free time. He’s a handsome young man short, spiky black hair tinted in purple along with sharp amethyst eyes. He covers his left eye with a black eyepatch, which he refuses to remove when people insist it’s a prop. Despite his conflicting appearance and hobbies, he takes pride in his deep south heritage & how he was raised to be a gentleman. Keirn Duffy is a light-brunette young man with soft blue eyes. More of a people pleaser than a leader so he’ll be in for a rough ride.
Amy, a very mean cheerleader, is disgusted by all this, and orders her younger twin sister who is always treated like garbage, Abby, switch seats with her. Abby complies to her sister's demands with a sigh. Amy looks over to her right and screams about a "giant" sitting there. Jasmine, an Australian survivalist, glares back and asks if they are "going to have a problem". Rodney, a farm boy who only cares about finding love (even if it's not going to happen any time soon), comments about her brains to a guy who believes zombies are real named Shawn, who coils up at the mention of the word "brains." Kay is a slender young lady who wears a mint green top, black paints with white, & red checkered hanky in her pocket. Her hair is a rust-brown with light brown eyes. She’s a champion horse rider. Lorana is the younger sister of and more importantly a bit of a skittish person who’s more comfortable with animals than people. She’s got short hair, fair skin, and with blue eyes though she mostly dresses like a farmhand; denim overalls, a pink top, and sunhat. This brings us to Dante & Arskan Heisenberg; handsome raven haired boys with different colored eyes. Dante having crimson red while his younger brother has golden hazel eyes. Dante is an aspiring marine while Arskan is more interested in sword fighting and reading. Both are more of the strong but silent types but what little words they offer? It’s not wasted on flattery or insecurity. Next are the Berloff twins; Tanasia & Nochsia. Tanasia is a raven haired girl while her younger sister has snowy-blonde hair but both are porcelain beauties with eyes that shine & sparkle like blue topaz most of the time, but blaze like sulfurous flames when angry. As such, Tanasia has a bit more color to work with while Nochsia is stuck with more mild colors to compliment her pastel like appearance. Last but not least, from the new members Stephanie, a pageant queen, becomes so irritated by Sierra’s "fidgeting" that she slams her into the door and threatens to toss her out the window if she scuffs her pageant shoes. Stephanie adds how she'll be "squished flat in two minutes," which prompts Scarlett, a nerd who gets less sane every time, to walk up and correct her, sounding very smart in the process. Beth Burgundy, who now has her braces off and feeling confident about herself. Justin & Lindsey, the only other returning members of the Og cast, was sitting near the back, trying to get some beauty sleep. Near the center of the zeppelin is Marian who’s doing her best to read. Marshall-Lee Crawford, a trouble making prankster is tuning his bass. He has messy black hair, and sporting a buttoned, grey striped, red plaid, dark blue jeans with turn-ups, and brownish-red and white sneakers. His sneakers seem to be Converse.
The blimp enters some turbulence and parts start to rain from the ceiling while the contestants scream and panic. My lovely figure appears in a flash of lightning and asks the new "victims" if they're ready for some fun. Ella pops up next to me in excitement and I assure them that humiliation and pain will soon change their enthusiasm. Serria however is greatly disappointed and demands where Chris is. “Chris & Cleft are dealing with some lawsuits. So I will be hosting with my partner Don in their stead” I reply as Sierra slumps. “Alright everyone listen up; there are two exits – here on the left side, and at the rear of the blimp. Next to them are crates with parachutes; some are pink, others are yellow. To make sure the teams are set up in a fair set of chance, we decided to have you jump with the chutes. Don’t worry, they’re all in working order” I assure them as each gets one when before the doors open automatically. The blimp starts to lose altitude, and the competitors, each jump to evacuate the crashing vehicle. Ella offers one to me but I tell her that the image she sees is actually a hologram. Don, who was flying the ship, was the last off the ship to make sure everyone had put the chute on correctly. When they all land safely, they made sure to keep their chutes to help determine the teams. Those with yellow chutes are dubbed the Confident Condors: Amy Crane, Arskan Heisenberg, Beth Burgundy, Dave Bernet, Gunner Princeton, Kay Arte, Lenny Summers, Lindsay Hawthorne, Shawn Seward, Sky Wan, Stephanie Sugarcane, Tanasia Breloff. Those with pink chutes are dubbed the Primal Pumas: Abby Crane, Dante Heisenberg, Jasmine Shilling, Justin Preston, Keirn Duffy, Lorna Arte, Marian Arkwright, Marshall-Lee Crawford, Max Lorenzo, Nochsia Breloff, Rodney Cobblestone, Scarlett Winchester. Their very first challenge is building their own shelter with the teams being instructed to settle on different sides of the island.
Their objective for the first part is to claim as many pieces of useful supplies as possible while Don tosses tennis balls at them. The contestants retreat to safety to form strategies. Jasmine automatically claims leadership over pumas and Sky does so for condors. While both teams gather supplies, Jasmine suggests her team to get something good. Jasmine & Marian speak over each other trying to explain their plans. Jasmine confronts Marian directly insisting they need to get the "important" items like the wheelbarrow and the wood. Duncan, impressed with how Marian handled being told what to do, asks if she’s planning on letting “Outback” take the lead this whole time. Marian, however, rolls her eyes and tells him that she need him to use what he can to deflect the balls so their team won’t take a hit. “It's always the big guys; they're intimidated by me; small guys, too, and most girls. I intimidate people” Jasmine states when Abby asked about the way she got a total stranger to back down. Marshall-Lee grabs a slab of metal and uses it as a shield to help protect his team while they get their supplies. “On the farm, it's just me, my dad, and my five little brothers. I'm kind of used to being in charge. But I wasn’t expecting to see my cousin here. Hope he’s nicer than he used to be,” Rodney muses to himself while he helps the smaller members of the team make their way. Meanwhile, Condors, under Sky's influence, decides to go one by one. Shawn easily evades Chef's fire due to his survival training. Shawn enters his range, grabs a can of cream of broccoli soup, and quickly escapes. “In my mind, I'm always running from zombies, and if you're not, you're crazy. Anyway, I grabbed some soup” he confides in Sierra who was ecstatic about new people to blog about.
Dave is frustrated by Shawn's worthless get while Stephanie tries to reassure him by acknowledging Lenny, the "wizard on their team." This just simultaneously annoys and confuses Lenny who suggested making a shack since it’s just for tonight. As he lands, Ella dances by singing to her bird friends who help her locate anything helpful. She announces her retrieval of a bucket of glitter. Lenny gives a smile while shaking his head but Dave and Stephanie, on the other hand, are infuriated by her. Sky tells Dave to serve as a decoy while Ripper grabs the supplies they need. Dave draws attention after being pushed out into the line of fire. Ripper aims to collect some rope and hay while Lenny attempts to get some paste they can use. Sky uses a spare piece of wood to deflect one of Chef's shots and send it back to him. He is hit in the face and given a black eye, with the challenge ending soon after. Oliver helps gather rocks and any other building materials he can. Don announces that whatever the contestants currently have is what they will use to build their shelters. Max roams around looking for an "evil lair," while practicing his evil laughter, and goes inside a cave, where he instantly is spooked away by a swarm of bats chasing after him. Dave remains reluctant, but Sky reasons that as there was a majority vote, they have no other choice. Recognizing her point and that it’s better than nothing, they get to work. The condors completes their shack but Dave says that their shelter is useless. Stephanie brushes it off saying that it's still not done until she sprinkles it with glitter. Then, Shawn wanders off, confusing Dave. “Spend the night with a bunch of strangers who could turn into zombies while I'm sleeping? Ha! No, thank you” Shawn mutters to himself as he gets himself settled into a tree. Jasmine hammers the final nail into the roof of puma’s treehouse. Don, wearing his jetpack, compliments it and commends their decision to place it above ground. Max questions why and soon finds out when he is trampled by a herd of moose. When the moose run by, the shack survives until Ella touches it, which causes it to fall but she’s surprisingly leaves her unharmed. Don declares their team the losers, and that they will have no shelter to live in for the rest of the night. At the first elimination ceremony, where Amy and Lenny are in the bottom two: Amy for not doing anything helpful whatsoever, and Lenny for coming up with the idea of building a shack that was a failure. In the end, it is Lenny who receives the final marshmallow. Don shows them the route to an abandoned cave where they can stay till tomorrow. He then explains that this challenge will not end in elimination since it was meant to set up the teams.
