Chapter Text
Vi didn’t even know what convinced her to throw this party.
The music throbbed like a pulse inside her chest, bass-heavy and sticky, seeping into her skin like sweat. The party was already in full swing, her little off-campus apartment packed shoulder-to-shoulder with half-familiar faces—upperclassmen she had flirted with in study groups, freshmen who stumbled in for the promise of free jungle juice and someone else’s playlist. Fairy lights clung to the ceiling like veins, blinking erratically over flushed skin, red cups, and open mouths.
Vi stood in the kitchen, one hip cocked against the counter, swiping her tongue over the rim of her cup. The vodka-laced punch was cheap and cloying, staining her lips pink. She wore a simple black top and denim shorts so high-cut they disappeared under her oversized flannel, and she knew she looked good. She always did. Vi liked being wanted. She liked it more when she was wanted by her.
Then the door opened.
And everything shifted.
Caitlyn walked in with someone, someone short, with a bright ginger bob and a smile so clean it could have come from a toothpaste ad. Her hand was loosely around Caitlyn’s waist. Vi’s stomach clenched before she even processed it, like a cold hand had reached inside her and squeezed.
Caitlyn didn’t usually bring girls around. She didn’t have to. For the last six months, they had had… whatever the fuck it was. No labels, no strings, no expectations. Just sex. Just whispered moans and tangled legs after nights like these. Just Vi waking up in Caitlyn’s dorm, stretching into her sheets, tasting her cunt on her tongue, and pretending it meant nothing. Pretending they were just best friends with good timing.
But Caitlyn smiled at the girl—Maggie, maybe? Madison?—like she wasn’t about to set Vi on fire. Like this wasn’t a line she hadn’t even realized existed until Caitlyn danced over it in a pair of low-rise jeans and a strapless top that barely contained her tits.
Jealousy tasted metallic. Vi set her drink down harder than she meant to.
“Holy shit,” Jinx muttered beside her, nudging her with an elbow. “That’s your girl, right?”
“She’s not my—” Vi stopped, jaw twitching. “It’s casual.”
“Uh-huh. Totally casual,” Jinx said, grinning like a cat watching a mouse walk into traffic. “Then why do you look like you’re about to commit a felony?”
Because Caitlyn was laughing, throwing her head back in that way that made her earrings swing. She reached up, touched her chest, softly, casually. Her fingers grazed her shirt, but Vi felt it like a slap.
Fuck.
She was too high for this. Or not high enough. She needed another drink. She needed Caitlyn’s mouth on hers, that stupid, slutty giggle when Vi pushed her against a wall and made her moan through her teeth. She grabbed a bottle of tequila off the counter, skipped the cup entirely, and took a swig. Her throat burned. So did her cheeks.
When Caitlyn finally noticed her, her expression flickered. Just for a second. Just long enough for Vi to catch the tilt of her smile, the brief bite of her lip. Caitlyn knew. She fucking knew.
She whispered something to her date and peeled away, hips swaying through the crowd until she was standing in front of Vi, smelling like weed and coconut lotion.
“Hey,” Caitlyn called out. “Didn’t think you’d be drinking so early. What’s the occasion?”
“You bringing Barbie to my party,” Vi deadpanned. Her voice was flat, her eyes dark. “What’s her name? Emily?”
Caitlyn smirked, unbothered. “Maddie. And she’s not mine. We’re just talking.”
“Mm,” Vi hummed. “Must be loud, the way you were leaning on her.”
Caitlyn’s brows arched. “You jealous?”
“No,” Vi snapped too quickly.
Caitlyn stepped closer, crowding her against the fridge. “You sure? Because you’re giving me that look again.”
“What look?”
Caitlyn gave her a look. “The one that ends with your tongue in my pussy.”
Vi’s mouth went dry. Her heart pounded so hard she felt it in her clit.
“Don’t flatter yourself,” she managed, breathless.
Caitlyn leaned in, lips brushing her ear. “You mad I didn’t invite you to watch?”
Vi’s eyes snapped to hers, feral. Caitlyn looked like sin incarnate, skin glowing under the fairy lights, mouth slick with gloss, eyes full of mischief and want.
She hated her.
She wanted her.
“Get rid of her,” Vi growled, fingers curling around the counter like she needed something to hold her down.
Caitlyn bit her lip, then smiled like a cat who had caught a canary. “Why?”
Vi’s hand shot out, gripping Caitlyn’s waist, and pulled her in tight until their thighs pressed. “Because if you don’t, I’m gonna pull you into that bathroom, bend you over the sink, and fuck you until you forget her name.”
Caitlyn gasped, her breath catching. “Jesus, Vi…”
“Yeah,” Vi snarled, mouth brushing hers. “That’s what you’ll be screaming.”
A beat of silence. The music surged, bodies swaying, lights blinking like warnings Vi ignored. Then Caitlyn stepped back, eyes glittering. She glanced over her shoulder toward Maddie, then looked back.
“Give me ten minutes,” she whispered. “Meet me in the bathroom.”
And just like that, she was gone again, sashaying back through the crowd like she hadn’t just detonated a fucking bomb in Vi’s chest.
Vi didn’t move. Couldn’t. Her hands trembled, her thighs pressed tight. Her drink forgotten.
Ten minutes.
Fuck.
This wasn’t casual anymore.
And it never had been.
𓏵
The bathroom door slammed behind them with a sound that cut clean through the music outside. Vi turned the lock with a flick of her wrist, then turned on Caitlyn like she was starving.
“Couldn’t wait, huh?” Caitlyn teased, voice trembling at the edges. The overhead light was too bright, casting shadows on her collarbones, on the gleam of sweat above her lip. She was flushed, already breathing like she had run.
Vi didn’t answer. She just grabbed Caitlyn by the front of her flimsy little crop top and kissed her hard enough to bruise.
Teeth clashed. Lips crushed. It wasn’t sweet. It was angry, messy, Vi’s mouth slanting over hers with a heat that scorched. Caitlyn whimpered against her, hands flying up to grip her shoulders, nails digging through fabric. Vi pushed her back until her spine hit the sink, crowding into her like she wanted to devour her whole.
Caitlyn gasped into her mouth. “Fuck, Vi—”
“You really think you can walk into my party with her?” Vi hissed between kisses, tongue dragging along Caitlyn’s bottom lip. “Smile at me like that, touch her like that, and not get fucked for it?”
Caitlyn moaned, head tipping back, throat bared. Her neck was a smooth slope Vi wanted to bite down on until her teeth left perfect little arcs. She kissed there instead, wet open-mouthed kisses along her jaw, down to her pulse point, licking and sucking until Caitlyn squirmed.
“It was just a date,” Caitlyn whispered. Her voice was thin, breathless. “She means nothing.”
“Then why’d you bring her?”
Caitlyn opened her mouth, but Vi was faster. She grabbed her by the waist, spun her around, and bent her over the sink like a doll. Her cheek hit the mirror, hands scrambling to brace herself, and Vi was behind her in an instant, rutting her thigh between Caitlyn’s legs.
The sound Caitlyn made—half-moan, half-gasp—sent a jolt straight to Vi’s clit.
“Fuck, Vi,” Caitlyn panted, grinding down on her thigh without shame, hips rolling in tight little circles. “You’re being—”
“Possessive?” Vi growled in her ear. Her hand slid up the front of Caitlyn’s top, fingers finding the swell of her tits, already pebbled and straining under the fabric. “Good. You should’ve thought of that before you played games.”
Caitlyn moaned as Vi pinched her nipple. Hard. Her breath fogged the mirror, fingers gripping the porcelain sink like a lifeline.
Vi kissed her shoulder, tugged the strap of her top down with her teeth, bit her skin, and licked the mark. “You think I like sharing you? You think I don’t see the way you make those girls follow you around like dogs?”
Caitlyn shivered. “You said—” Her voice cracked as Vi dragged a hand down her stomach, under her waistband, fingers slipping into the soft, soaked heat between her thighs. “You said it was casual—”
“It was.” Vi pressed two fingers inside her, slow and punishing. “Now I’m not so fucking sure.”
Caitlyn cried out, her voice muffled against her own arm as she buried her face in the crook of her elbow. Vi curled her fingers, found the sweet spot she knew by heart. Caitlyn clenched around her like a vice, her whole body trembling.
“I should make you beg,” Vi snarled, biting down on her shoulder, still fucking her with slow, rough thrusts. “Make you say my name until you forget hers.”
“I already forgot it,” Caitlyn whimpered, pushing back against her hand like a bitch in heat. “Fuck— faster, please—”
Vi obliged. She worked her hand harder, fingers slick and pumping, palm slapping against Caitlyn’s clit with every stroke. Her other hand held Caitlyn by the hip, grounding her, bruising her. Caitlyn was a mess, cheeks flushed, lips swollen, mirror fogged with her panting. Her pussy was soaked, cunt fluttering around Vi’s fingers, her thighs shaking.
Vi leaned down, lips brushing Caitlyn’s ear. “Say it.”
Caitlyn whimpered. “Say what—”
“That you’re mine.”
Caitlyn hesitated, whimpering again, and Vi slammed her fingers in deeper and twisted her wrist. “Say it.”
Caitlyn shattered.
Her whole body arched, cunt pulsing around Vi’s fingers as she came with a strangled sob, her voice cracking apart. “I’m— fuck— I’m yours, Vi—I’m yours!”
Vi kept fucking her through it, dragging every ounce of pleasure out of her until Caitlyn collapsed against the sink, slick and shuddering, cunt twitching around her fingers.
She didn’t pull out. Not yet.
She kissed the back of Caitlyn’s neck, softer now. Let her breath settle. Let her whimper.
Cairlyb opened her eyes slowly, meeting Vi’s gaze in the mirror. Her mascara had smudged. Her lip was bleeding where Vi had bitten it.
“You’re such a bitch,” Caitlyn whispered, but there was no heat to it. Just something raw. Wrecked. Needy.
Vi smiled. “Still brought you to your knees.”
Caitlyn blinked slowly. “That was the plan.”
They stared at each other in the mirror, Vi’s chest rising and falling, Caitlyn flushed and wrecked. Outside the door, the party still raged, bass rattling the walls, voices echoing. But in the bathroom, the world had stopped.
Vi leaned in and kissed her again. This time it was slow. This time it was different. The kiss softened like rain after thunder.
Vi’s lips slowed against hers, the heat no less intense but tempered now, melting. Their mouths moved in a rhythm older than anger, older than jealousy. Vi kissed her like she knew every crack in her, like she had memorized Caitlyn’s taste from the inside out and wanted to map it again, just to be sure it hadn’t changed.
Caitlyn whimpered into her mouth. Her fingers clutched at Vi’s shirt, pulling her closer until there wasn’t a breath of space between them. Their bodies aligned like magnets, chest to chest, hips flush. Caitlyn was still trembling, her thighs slick with her orgasm, the wet heat of it pressed to the front of Vi’s shorts. Vi rocked against her once, slow and deliberate, and they both moaned like it hurt to be apart.
Vi’s hands skimmed the bare curve of Caitlyn’s waist, her thumbs slipping under the waistband of her jeans. She pulled back just enough to breathe, their foreheads touching, noses brushing.
“You’re a fucking mess,” She murmured. Her voice was rough around the edges, but quieter now. Not angry. Just full of want.
Caitlyn laughed, soft, broken, too full of meaning. “You did that to me.”
“I know,” Vi said, then kissed her again. Gentle. Reverent.
Then her palms slid under Caitlyn’s thighs and lifted her like she weighed nothing, spinning her around and planting her firmly on the edge of the sink. The countertop was cold against her ass, but Vi was already there, crowding between her spread legs, hands tugging open the button on her jeans. Caitlyn’s breath hitched. Her fingers tangled in Vi’s short hair, eyes heavy-lidded and full of heat.
“You sure?” Vi asked, one hand curling at her hip, the other paused just beneath the zipper. She didn’t usually ask. Caitlyn didn’t usually wait. But something had shifted.
Caitlyn nodded. “Please.”
Vi kissed her again, one long, slow kiss that dragged her under like a riptide, before she dipped her head, nosing against Caitlyn’s throat as she slowly, painfully slowly, peeled her jeans down her thighs. The denim caught at her knees, then fell to the floor with a soft whisper. Vi dropped to her knees in front of her, palms sliding along Caitlyn’s inner thighs, thumbs tracing the slick seam of her underwear. Black lace, damp and clinging.
Vi looked up, eyes dark and blazing, hair wild from Caitlyn’s fingers. “Fuck. You’re soaked.”
Caitlyn flushed, biting her lip. Her legs spread wider without conscious thought, hips tilting forward. Offering. Wanting.
Vi hooked her fingers in the waistband of her panties and pulled them down, slow, dragging them over the curve of her hips, her pussy slick and flushed and open. Her cunt glistened in the bathroom light, thighs still trembling, folds swollen with need.
“Look at you,” Vi whispered, like a prayer. “Pretty girl.”
Caitlyn whimpered. “God— Vi, please—”
Vi didn’t make her wait.
She leaned in and licked a long, slow stripe from Caitlyn’s entrance to her clit, tongue flat, pressure perfect. Caitlyn’s head slammed back against the mirror with a soft thud, a gasp falling from her lips like a sob.
Vi’s hands gripped her thighs tightly, spreading her open. She licked again, more focused now, circling her clit with slow flicks of her tongue. Caitlyn trembled like a live wire, eyes fluttering shut, hands fisting in Vi’s hair.
“You always taste like this?” Vi muttered between licks, voice low and hungry. “So fucking sweet.”
Caitlyn moaned, trying to grind forward. Vi growled and held her down. “Let me eat, baby. Just stay still.”
Caitlyn stilled, obedient, her legs falling wider. Vi sucked her clit between her lips, tongue flicking in tight little circles. She licked her like she owned her, like no one else had ever touched her before, like no one else ever would again. Caitlyn’s breathing was ragged, her thighs twitching with every stroke, her fingers trembling in Vi’s hair. Vi slipped one finger inside her, curling just right, and Caitlyn cried out. Her hips jerked, pussy clenching tight around Vi’s hand.
“You gonna come for me again?” Vi whispered, mouth slick, tongue teasing circles against her clit. “Come on, Cait. Let me have it.”
Caitlyn sobbed, gasping, every muscle coiled tight.
And then she shattered.
Her orgasm tore through her like lightning, legs locking around Vi’s shoulders, cunt pulsing around her fingers, her whole body jerking as she moaned Vi’s name over and over like a mantra.
Vi didn’t stop. She licked her through it, fingers still slow and steady inside her, coaxing every last tremble from her limbs until Caitlyn was limp on the counter, spent and shaking, thighs sticky and slick.
Vi stood slowly, mouth glistening. She kissed Caitlyn again, soft, like a promise. She whimpered into it, tasting herself on Vi’s tongue, legs still spread and twitching. Vi rested her forehead against Caitlyn’s, hands cupping her cheeks.
Neither of them spoke.
Not yet.
𓏵
They dressed without speaking.
The silence stretched long between them, thick with things neither of them would say. The bathroom light buzzed overhead, casting flickering halos over the mess they had made—the crumpled jeans on the tile, the fogged mirror streaked with handprints, the faint smell of sweat and sex clinging to the air like perfume.
Caitlyn reached for her underwear with trembling fingers. Her thighs still quivered, slick between them, every movement a reminder of how hard Vi had made her come. Her breath had evened out, but not her heart. That kept pounding, traitorous and loud, as she pulled her jeans up her legs and fumbled with the button.
Vi hadn’t moved from where she leaned against the sink. Her hair was wild, lips kiss-swollen, eyes unreadable. She looked wrecked. Dangerous. Beautiful. Like sin with a cigarette. But her expression was flat. Distant. Already retreating.
Caitlyn hated that about her. How Vi could be inside her one minute and on another planet the next, like her body was a room she borrowed when she was cold, then walked away from once she was warm again. Caitlyn zipped up her jeans. Fixed her top. Said nothing.
Vi pushed off the counter and picked up her flannel, tugging it on like armor. Her tank top underneath had slipped low, exposing the line of a hickey Caitlyn had left two weeks ago, dark and fading. Caitlyn stared at it, then looked away.
Their eyes met in the mirror. It felt like standing on the edge of a cliff.
“You should go,” Vi said finally, her voice rough.
Caitlyn flinched like she’d been slapped. “Right.”
A beat passed. Neither of them moved.
Then Caitlyn reached for the doorknob. “I’ll see you later,” she said, barely above a whisper.
Vi didn’t answer.
The door opened. Caitlyn stepped out. The hallway was suddenly too full, the air too hot. She walked without looking back, one foot in front of the other, the ache between her legs competing with the one in her chest.
She found Maddie near the couch, drink in hand, mid-conversation with some econ major whose name she didn’t care to remember. She looked up and smiled when she saw her.
“Hey,”s he said, warm and oblivious. “You okay? You were gone a while.”
Caitlyn smiled back, but it didn’t reach her eyes. “Yeah. Just needed a minute.”
She touched Maddie’s arm. Laughed at something she said. Tried not to think about Vi’s mouth on her thighs. Tried not to think about the way Vi hadn’t kissed her goodbye.
𓏵
Vi watched her go.
Through the crack in the door, she saw Caitlyn slip into the crowd like nothing had happened. Like Vi hadn’t had her spread open and moaning just minutes ago. Like Vi’s name hadn’t just been on her lips, broken and desperate and sweet.
She gritted her teeth and shoved her hands in her pockets.
Fucking hell.
She wasn’t even sure what had pissed her off more. Caitlyn showing up with that girl, or the fact that she was already back at her side, acting like Vi had just been a bathroom detour. Like she was some stopover between flirtations. A backroom fix before returning to her scheduled date.
The irony made her want to laugh. Or punch a wall. Or go back out there and kiss Caitlyn in front of everyone until her legs gave out again.
Instead, she did none of that.
She walked back to the kitchen, where Jinx was posted up by the half-empty jungle juice bowl, sipping from a Solo cup and chatting with a pair of stoned poli-sci majors. When she saw Vi, her brows lifted, mouth quirking with curiosity.
“Well?” she said, peeling away from the others. “You look like someone who just fucked a ghost.”
Vi reached past her for a drink, poured tequila straight into her cup. “She went back to her,” she said.
Jinx blinked. “Wait. After all that? Are you serious?”
Vi downed half her drink. “Yep.”
“Jesus.”
“She didn’t even say goodbye.”
Jinx whistled low. “You okay?”
“No.”
“Are you gonna do anything about it?”
Vi didn’t answer. Just stared into her drink like it might explain how a girl who tasted like heaven could walk away like it was nothing. She remembered the way Caitlyn had looked on the counter, flushed and trembling, moaning her name like a prayer. The way she had kissed her after, soft and sweet and wrecked.
And then left.
“I’m fine,” Vi lied.
Jinx raised a brow, unconvinced. “You always are.”
Vi leaned back against the counter, drink in one hand, the other buried in her pocket. Across the room, Caitlyn laughed at something Maddie said, head thrown back, eyes shining.
Vi looked away.
The party roared on.
