"Mei." Shiki spoke quietly, clinging to her girlfriend's arm after exiting the theater. "I'm cold."
"You can borrow my hoodie if you want. I did tell you it would get cold tonight." Mei spoke smugly.
Shiki shook her head. "No... If I took your hoodie then you would get cold. I'll live with this mistake. ...Keep me warm, okay?" she nuzzled Mei's shoulder lovingly.
Mei turned her head, pecking Shiki on the cheek. "You're so clingy, babe. Never change."
Shiki couldn't help but smile. Mei always made her feel so loved, with a love so pure and sweet that sometimes she questioned whether she even deserved it. Mei had been spoiling her so much lately... She even paid for this movie theater date!
"Hey, Mei..." Shiki whispered.
"What's up?" Mei glanced over to her girlfriend who was still glued to her arm.
Shiki hesitated for a moment. "I really enjoyed the movie! I... want to do something special as thanks."
Mei raised an eyebrow. "Hey, there's no need for that. The date itself was special to me."
She really did mean those words. Every moment with Shiki was special, there wasn't really any need for "thanks", her presence enough was all she needed.
"You're no fair, Mei." Shiki pouted.
"Heh. Okay, fine! What do you have in mind?" Mei smiled, unable to resist her girlfriend's charm.
Shiki paused for a moment. "Anything you want?"
"Anything, huh? Anything..." Mei blushed a bit.
"Don't think inappropriate thoughts, Mei." Shiki said bluntly.
"I-I wasn't!" Mei squealed defensively.
Shiki nodded, giving her an uncertain glance. "Suuuuure."
"H-Hey, stop looking at me like that! You're the one that said I could ask for anything I want!" Mei covered her blushing face.
"I did say that..." Shiki blushed back. "Okay. Be naughty then, Mei. I'm ready."
"I-I'm not going to be naughty!" Mei shouted, clearly flustered by the suggestion. "You let your imagination run *way* too wild, babe."
Shiki frowned. "You tease..."
"What? Pffft. Okay, fine! Let's do what they did in the movie." Mei winked.
"In the movie? Oh... Kabedon..!" Shiki gasped.
"Why do you know the word for it?" Mei sighed.
Shiki blushed. "Natsumi showed me once..."
"Y-You got kabedon'd by Natsumi!?" Mei shouted with a hint of envy.
Shiki shook her head. "Not really, but she tried her best."
"Uh... What does that mean?" Mei tilted her head curiously.
"She was telling me about it, and how she did it to Kinako before. I asked her to demonstrate so that I could do it to you. She looked confident, but when she actually tried to do it... She couldn't reach the wall, then tripped over a pebble and fell." Shiki said, recalling the failure.
"Sounds about right. Well don't worry, I'll show you how it's done." Mei cracked her knuckles, blushing a bit.
"Should we take turns doing it?" Shiki asked.
"What? Who takes turns pinning each other against the wall? I'm doing it!" Mei declared.
Shiki smiled, nodding. "Okay. I'm ready."
Shiki walked over to a brick wall and closed her eyes.
Mei smiled, hugging her and kissing her gently on the lips.
Shiki blushed, opening her eyes. "That's not how you kabedon..."
"Yeah, and you're not supposed to close your eyes during a kabedon either." Mei winked.
"Oh! Mei..." Shiki puffed her cheeks. "Well, I'm ready now. For real. Um, thank you for the kiss." she smiled.
"You're welcome. Okay, let's try this for real..." Mei stared at her girlfriend for a moment before stepping closer to her and realizing something...
Shiki blushed, gazing into Mei's eyes with a needy expression. She was ready to be kabedon'd!
"Oh god oh god oh god, I have no idea what I'm doing! I'm shorter than her! Of course I am, duh! How the hell do you kabedon someone taller than you!?" Mei thought to herself, her face going red as she got flustered.
Not wanting to let her girl down, Mei slammed her hand against the wall with the strongest force she could muster!
Shiki felt a rush of emotions as her girlfriend leaned in close, completely pinning her to the wall despite being shorter.
"W-Wow..." Shiki blushed, her eyes sparkling with excitement as she gazed into Mei's eyes.
"E-Eh, so did I do good?" Mei asked, feeling a mix of pride and embarrassment.
"Of course. My heart was fluttering, Mei." Shiki smiled warmly, leaning down to give her girlfriend a quick kiss.
Mei grinned smugly, putting her hands on her hips. "Guess I'm the kabedon master then!"
Shiki chuckled. "You really are. I love you, Mei."
"I love you too, Shiki. Now come on, let's go home and warm up with some hot cocoa!" Mei held Shiki's hand. She could have never expected what came next...
Shiki elegantly twirled Mei around with her hand, slamming her hand to the wall to pin her in place immediately after.
"Sh-Shiki!? I-!? A-Ah!" Mei squealed, her eyes glancing everywhere but her girlfriend's eyes while she blushed intensely.
"Mei. You look beautiful tonight." Shiki said, stroking her cheek gently.
Mei was having a full on gay panic and loving every second of it. "T-Thanks! You're a lot prettier, but... Thanks! Thanks!!" She couldn't think straight, this was so sudden and so thrilling. Suddenly, she wasn't so sure *she* was the kabedon master, because it was clearly her girlfriend!
"I'll love you forever, Mei. Thank you for being the light in my life that shines brightest." Shiki smiled warmly, their eyes meeting as Mei opened her mouth, then closed it.
"Gosh, Shiki... I feel the same! I love you so much!" Mei poured her heart out, tears of joy running down her cheeks. "Damnit, now I'm crying!? Hey, what happened to not taking turns with the kabedons?"
Shiki gently wiped her girlfriend's tears. "The whole idea was for me to thank you for how well you've treated me. I had to surprise you. Natsumi's lessons paid off it seems."
"Oh shush, you know you're way better at this than Natsumi!" Mei laughed, Shiki then giggling with her as she took her hand. "Really though, thanks. This night meant a lot to me."
"Me too. Can you hold me again? It's getting chilly..." Shiki held onto her girlfriend's arm.
Mei smiled, stroking Shiki's hair as they kept close while they walked. "Of course. When we get home you're going to get all the couch cuddles you want, babe."
"I'll be looking forward to it, my love." Shiki blushed, excited for a very cozy night with the most special girl in the world!
They teased each other about the kabedons all night, giggling together, playing games, cuddling, sipping hot cocoa and snacking on junk food... It was the little things that made life fulfilling, and they loved sharing each and every one of those little things with each other!
