In one last flash of light, three old women appeared. They were old and wizened, and were carrying five books each, which they then dropped on the floor.
"We are the fates" they said in a creepy unison. "And we brought you here through time and space to read your adventures"
"Time travel?"
"Indeed. We were displeased with how things were handled by your God-King."
The Fates then disappeared as if they were never there, leaving the books behind.
