Work Text:

His cold, boney hand laid rest on the thin figure above him, pushing ever so slightly. His lips parted, uttering incoherent whispers to the other.

“Please, Rui…”

Had Tsukasa said it louder, the purple haired male would’ve paid mind to it. His hands continued to roam around Tsukasas’ body, leaving it red and tingling with every spot he dare graze against. Ruis’ hands were warm, far too warm.

“Stop…”.

Rui tuned out his voice laced with the slightest of urgency and continued to roughly caress Tsukasas’ body, barely giving himself time to breathe and think. He was like a wild dog, not being able to wait any longer to feast on his long-awaited, delicious prey. His teeth chomped down on the crevice between Tsukasas’ shoulder and collarbone, leaving him trembling in pain.

“I said… Stop!”

Tsukasa pushed Rui off of him with all his might as he was left a shaking mess. His body trembled as his crinkled clothes barely held on. His eyes were terrifyingly wide like a deer caught in headlights. He froze in place, not wanting to move an inch.

Flashbacks ran through his head, replaying every scene of that night. His breathing became shallow, his chest heaving up and down. His skin turned into a bright white as his mind couldn’t help but wonder to bad thoughts.

“Why didn’t you just push him off?”

“Why didn’t you scream for help?”

“It’s all your fault, you know that? You let this happen.”

“You did it to yourself.”

“You were the one who decided to walk by yourself on a cold, lonely night. What were you expecting?”

He curled his hand into a tight fist and hit himself on his head countless times as an attempt to “beat” the bad thoughts out of him. His knuckles turned a sickeningly, pale white.

Rui quickly looked up at Tsukasa, rushing over to him.

“I’m…. I’m so sorry Tsukasa.. I.. I didn’t mean to I-I swear!”

Sweat rolled down his face as he approached him. He quickly shoved him into a gentle, lovingly embrace. He couldn’t lose another, could he?

“Please don’t leave me... Y-You can’t.”, he whispered into Tsukasas’ ear.

He leaned his arms on the headboard, eyes burning and tears forming. He made direct eye contact with Tsukasa.

“I wont do it again, I promise. Just please don’t leave me.. I-I can’t… Deal with another loss.”

The funeral played in Ruis’ mind over and over again, as if his brain was purposefully torturing him. His eyes swelled with tears as sobs hysterically rushed out of his mouth, trying to escape the shackles of his throat. It’s as if they’d had been starved, locked up, and shoved down, never been able to come out.

Tsukasa came to his senses and pulled Rui into a bear hug, sending warm throughout his spine. Rui had felt as if Tsukasa had injected dopamine into his veins. Although Tsukasa was still scared to the bone, he felt the need to comfort Rui at all costs, no matter the “consequences” he’d face. Tsukasa rubbed Rui’s back as an attempt of comfort.
