For There Be Light

Summary:

The Yakuza and military in Japan were always at odds. However the strong presence of the Yakuza in Japan, peace remained until the Special Military Forces crossed the line and started establishing dominance over Japan. Their goal is to reign the world. Chaos spread as the military slowly moved to eliminate the Yakuza, their biggest threat. Yet those who suffered the most were the innocents, many did not mutate to gain supernatural powers and could only succumb to the cross-fire.
News spread globally, given Japan's huge role in establishing the new Supernatural Society, the world could not afford to lose Japan as its foundation for stability. Thus a special force officer from America was sent to Japan, to assist Japan to gather information for the American Government.

"Hey, are you really a special force officer considering your so weak?" the monotonous man spoke.

"Shut up! I'm just getting started."

Chapter 1: Synopsis

Chapter Text

30 years ago, humanity started to evolve. There appeared the first ever man to ever mutate and obtain otherworldly powers. News travelled around the globe and scientists all came together to discuss this phenomenon. They simply thought it was a singular irregularity but more and more people were reported to have also mutated and were bestowed supernatural abilities. People started calling them mutants.

Their abilities ranged from supernatural strength to being able to summon otherworldly creatures. Mutants were categorized as summoners, healers, assassins, warriors, rangers and rulers according to their abilities.

To maintain stability in the world, Japan with the highest rate of mutants arising proposed the creation of the Supernatural Society. With the aid of other countries, the proposal was successful as they managed to control and return peace within the country.  Special military forces consisting of mutants were also organized in many countries as means of protection and security, Japan was no exception.

Given the appearance of mutants, many Yakuza syndicates were growing stronger as many members mutated. However, to ensure stability within the country, many powerhouses agreed for a ceasefire unless provoked, including the Japanese government. However, perhaps due to the rising rate of crime within society and the power of the Yakuza, the Japanese Government grew wary. They wanted to eliminate the Yakuza to have absolute control of the country thus they begun their plan to exterminate every Yakuza clan leading to a civil war to break out.
