This is a work of fiction. Save for my original characters - Selene, her adoptive family, the girls, her comrade, some antagonists, etc. - all credits go to Horikoshi Kohei, the creator of Boku no Hero Academia/My Hero Academia.
This is a mature fanfiction. There will be detailed and graphic descriptions of themes such as, but not limited to:
- Rape
- Physical abuse
- Sexual abuse
- Emotional/psychological/mental abuse
- Suicide
- Death
- Whipping
I will include trigger warnings at the beginning of any chapter which involves such content.
Please note that is not a Y/N L/N fanfiction. I have read some fanfictions where Y/N L/N is the protagonist just to see what the fuss was about. Frankly speaking, I was disappointed. The concept of Y/N L/N does not capture all personality types, so while I was reading them, I disagreed with the actions and words that Y/N L/N was portrayed as doing or saying. Those were things I would not have done myself. That is why I wrote this Todoroki x OC fanfiction. My original character has a personality and backstory that I can develop further into the story. A Y/N L/N fanfiction would prevent me from doing that.
This story involves two characters coming to terms with their trauma, healing each other, and falling in love with each other in the process. Therefore, this will be a long fanfiction.
Three final notes before I finish the disclaimer.
(1) This story is a sequel to Blossoms of the Dark. The second part to my Blossoms of the Dark Saga. I will provide a thorough summary of the events of Blossoms of the Dark in the next chapter for those who would like a refresher. But please understand that the summary is just that. It cannot account for all the details, politics, scheming, strategies, etc. that occurred in the first fanfiction. If you have not read Blossoms of the Dark, I highly suggest reading that first before reading Blossoms of the Shadows.
(2) The Boku no Hero Academia manga was completed on August 5, 2024. I am going to operate on the assumption that everyone reading this fanfiction is already caught up with the manga or anime. I finished Blossoms of the Dark with the aftermath of the Paranormal Liberation War arc of the manga (around Chapter 300). Therefore, the events of Blossoms of the Shadows will occur after a time skip. I am not going to delve into the Final War Arc very deeply because I have my own arcs planned for this story. Whenever the Final War Arc will be mentioned, it will be as a memory or a brief description from a character's POV, not an entire chapter. Put more simply, there will be a lot of changes from the canon BNHA universe.
(3) Feel free to comment or ask questions about my story, original characters, world-building, etc. But please note that I will not answer any personal questions about myself, such as actual name, age, gender, religion, address, etc.
