Chapter Text
The bell rings again, signaling the start of class. Saiki is used to the routine by now but can’t help but feel that something is off, that he missed something significant. The flurry of thoughts of his classmates rush into his brain, and he unconsciously tightens his grip on his textbook.
“Alright everybody!” the teacher claps her hands together, gathering everybody's attention.
“Today is quite a special day because we have two new students joining us!” She exclaimed.
Saiki sighed. That was what was wrong, his brain hadn’t registered the extra thoughts. Although, he supposed that he probably couldn’t have managed to tell the difference based on how many people were currently in building.
The door slammed open, rattling the hinges. Two boys walked in, one noticeably shorter than the other.
“Hello!” the brunette waved “I’m Osamu Dazai!”.
The class waved back and some greeted him, welcoming him to the class. He simply smiled and waved them off, seemingly infatuated with Teruhashi. After catching him staring, Teruhashi waved, batting her eyelashes at him before flipping her blue hair over her shoulder.
‘I figured he would be obsessed with me, I mean who wouldn’t fall for an extremely humble girl like me’
The class waited for the gingers introduction but he just stared bullets into his ‘friends’ face.
‘Stupid Dazai, we came here for a mission, he better not mess this up just because he fell in love with another woman’
‘Mission’ Saiki thought before he shrugged it off, assuming it had nothing to do with him
Seemingly noticing his ‘friend’ wasn’t introducing himself, he kicked the back of his leg, bringing him back to his senses.
“Um, and you are?” The teacher probed.
The short one stuffed his hands in his pockets before he talked.
“Chuuya Nakahara”
Unlike the greetings Dazai was given, everybody stayed silent.
“That’s nice” She said awkwardly, “Erm, well you two can sit next to Saiki at the back,”
‘Saiki?’
‘Saiki?’
Both of their heads raised to look at him.
Maybe he did have something to do with their mission.
