Vi looks down on the garment he’s still holding. It’s a bright red, but only now he realizes what the little cartoonish designs on it are. “Chickens?”
“Male chickens,” Caitlyn clarifies, and Vi tilts his head, staring at the shapes.
“Roosters?” Caitlyn chuckles. Vi wills the gears in his head to turn. And they do, eventually. “Cocks? Really, Cait?” He finds himself giggling with her, because it’s both ridiculous, and weirdly touching.
