Staying at home (request)

Work Text:

Wally was sitting on his bed, pouting, he didn’t want to sleep, he wanted to be outside with his friends, exploring the neighborhood, learning new things, and sharing in the joys of discovery. But Home told him that he couldn’t go, Home wouldn’t even let him leave his room. “Homeeeeee” Wally whines out, “Let me out! Please?”

Still, there was no reply, only the soft groan of wood as the house shifted slightly, the sounds almost like a distant, resigned sigh. Wally’s shoulders slumped as he let go of the doorknob. With a heavy heart, he plopped down on the floor, his back against the door. He crossed his arms again, this time with a defiant glare at the ceiling.

“I’m not moving!” he declared to no one in particular, though he knew Home was always listening. “I’ll stay right here until you let me out.”

For a few minutes, Wally kept his resolve, staring up at the ceiling as if he could will the house to change its mind. But then, something strange happened. The floor beneath him began to shift.

Wally’s eyes widened in surprise as the wooden planks slowly moved, creaking and groaning like the old trees that surrounded the neighborhood. The floorboards moved under him, guiding him off the floor and gently pushing him onto his bed.

“Home?” Wally asked, a hint of nervousness creeping into his voice as he found himself laid out on his stomach. He tried to get up, but the floor beneath the bed became uneven, tilting just enough to make him lose his balance and fall back down. He struggled, but it was no use—the house had made up its mind.

Wally couldn’t see what was happening, but he could hear the walls creaking as Home decided his fate, moving ever so slightly. Wally could feel the presence of Home all around him, like the gentle but firm embrace of a parent. And Home was not pleased.

Wally felt the wooden planks under him begin to ripple like waves on a lake, and before he could even think about getting up again, something hard and flat pressed against his backside.

“Home?” Wally’s voice was small, uncertain now. He wriggled a bit, trying to turn around, but the floorboard pressed down more firmly, keeping him in place.

The wooden planks lifted up again slightly, before Wally could fully understand what was happening, the plank came down with a sharp thwack against his bottom.

The sensation that followed was quick and startling. A sharp smack against his bottom. “OW!”

The floorboard came down again, and then again, each time with a firm but measured strike.

“Ow! Stop it!” Wally cried out, tears welling up in his eyes. He squirmed, trying to get away, but the bed and the floor worked together to keep him in place

“Hey! Ow! Stop it!” Wally cried out, trying to squirm away, but Home wouldn’t let him. The wooden floorboard acted like a paddle, delivering firm but controlled swats that sent a clear message: Wally needs to listen.

“Home, please!” Wally begged, his voice trembling now. “I’m sorry! I’ll listen, I promise!” Tears pricking at the corners of his eyes as the smacks continued. He wasn’t used to being punished like this. Home had always been gentle and kind, but this… this was different. This was serious.

“Please! Im sorry! Be good! I’ll be good now!”

The spanking stopped, but Home didn’t immediately let Wally go. The floorboards seemed to hum with a kind of energy, and Wally could almost feel the house thinking, considering whether or not he was truly sorry.

“Please…..”

After a moment, the floorboards shifted again, and landed one last thwack! Making Wally cry out again. The floorboards then pushed Wally on the bed so he was laying down. Wally laid there, sniffling, his hands rubbing at his sore bottom. He glanced around the room, still trying to make sense of what had just happened.

“Home,” he said quietly, his voice small and apologetic, “I’m really sorry. I just… I wanted to be with my friends.” The house creaked again, but this time, it was softer, but still stern.

Wally could feel the mattress shift beneath him, almost like a comforting hug. He smiled a little, curling up under the covers.
