Summary
carte blanche
/kärt ˈblänSH/complete freedom to act as one wishes or thinks best
Typically, iterators are only brought online once their superstructures have been fully built. Once active, they perform their duties as subservient bio-machines until the distant day where they collapse under the pressure. There will be errors during their forst cycles, as expected, but such things can be remedied and fixed.
But... what if it can't?
What if they come online well before they should? What if they malfunction from the start- missing code causing issues for all? What if they were designed to be abnormal?
What if they were designed to be as free as their creator could manage?
