It only takes a few hours for George McFly to figure out why Calvin Marty Klein is so strange: he’s an alien.
It takes George a few decades to figure out the rest.

THIS IS LOWKEY COOKIN
THIS IS SO FUCKING COOL
George had never seen such a clear and ominous omen portending doom in his life. As he walked out of the movie theater with Marty, he wondered what was going to happen to the both of them, and how soon it was coming.
Marty, on the other hand, held no such dread. He was simply going on and on about how amazing a movie it was and that Arnold Schwarzenegger was born to play the Terminator. Marty had no hang-ups over the nature of time travel shown in the film and how accurate it could be to reality. George had no clue if time travel truly was a closed loop of what was and will be, but he knew one thing for certain: that Marty was going to be a time traveler.
Marty, who has been practicing electric guitar for five years now and has a band of his own. Marty, who is a great skateboarder. Marty, who speaks with all the same 1984 slang as his teenage cohorts. Marty, who George knows wears Calvin Klein brand underwear. Marty, who only a week ago brought home the same orange puffer vest that George and Lorraine and everyone in the Hill Valley of 1955 thought was a life preserver.
After almost thirty years, neither George nor Lorraine had any memory of what Marty Klein had looked like, nor what his voice had sounded like. They had only known him for a week, for goodness sake! And yet, every time Marty looked him in the face, George knew in his bones that he was staring at the same boy.
