Summary
In an outing gone wrong, Noah and Mirage find themselves at natures mercy, lost in the middle of a snow storm as a dangerous cold settles in around them. Mirage, unwilling to see his friend harmed, finds a way to keep Noah warm, much to the humans distress.

“What-“ Noah begins, but pauses, throat scratchy from cold, his body wracked with shivers, “what are y-you do-ing?”
His eyelashes are sprinkled with flakes of snow, his breath crystallizing around the small hairs and Mirage watches as he blinks rapidly to clear his vision. He feels dizzy. Numb.
“Keepin’ you safe,” he mumbles softly, scared that if he speaks to roughly, Noah will shatter like the delicate ice that surrounds them.
