It’s someone with hair as golden as yellow lily petals. It’s someone from Nibelheim, her home. It’s someone she used to love. The boy she remembers but somehow different. His eyes are greener than they once were, darker and hollower than they once were. She stares at him, and as she does, something inside of her chest shatters into millions of pieces.
“Cloud,” Tifa says, and god, her throat nearly falls apart around the name. Cloud. Cloud from Nibelheim. Cloud.
He holds a dagger. The steel of it glimmers under the dim lamps of Seventh Heaven. The logo on the blade almost mocks her.
Shinra. This may no longer be the boy she used to love.
