Summary
“Since this is your first day working here, I would like to speak to you about a few things and answer some of the questions you may have,” Lena starts.
Kara sits down and places her notebook in her lap, joining her hands together. “I’m all ears, Miss Luthor.”
She sees the slightest of annoyances in Lena’s eyes at the formal appellation. “Please, call me Lena,” the alpha says as her expression softens. “I do not wish to be referred to as such in private, only when there are clients around. I must say that I appreciate the politeness, but I feel weird about formalities given I am younger than you.”
“You are?”
“Yes, by three years,” Lena informs her, and Kara cannot hide her surprise that her new boss, the CEO of a Fortune 500 company, is only 24 years old. “You look surprised, Miss Danvers?”
OR
Kara becomes Lena's assistant because Jess is going on maternity leave, and she grows quite fond of her new bosses.
