Chapter Text
Kyomi sighs to herself as she leaves Vanarath’s office, shaking her limbs out. Of course, she knew this had been an option, or rather something that could happen, from the moment she signed the papers, performed the ritual alongside Vanarath and Diavolo that would make her a part of the royal family. Still. Just because she knew it could happen, doesn’t mean she wanted it to. And now she might get married off to some random stranger she’s never met, the only thing she knows is that he’s a prince.
And on top of that, she has to go to school. AGAIN. She just finished high school, and now she has to go to what is technically speaking another high school. To be fair, Night Raven College is a school in another world that teaches magic, but still! At least they’re sending Solomon with her. Because apparently admission letters that are several hundred years old are still usable.
Well. They’re not forcing her to. But she got an invitation, despite being three years older than the average first-year student, and pops thinks it’ll be good for her. Apparently she’s still going to be the youngest demon to ever attend, anyway. And the first half-demon.
“Oh, Moonbeam!” And there is the sorcerer who will be ‘guarding’ her. “I heard you got a Night Raven admission letter! I am so proud of you!” Solomon scoops her up in a hug, swaying their bodies from side to side.
“Ah, whoopee. More school.” Kyomi uses the blandest voice she can muster, and Solomon laughs.
“Come on, darling, it can’t be that bad. And you’ll be able to learn different kinds of magic, too, rather than just demonic and mine.”
Kyomi just makes the most disgruntled noise she can as she sags in Solomon’s grip, giving him full responsibility over making sure her body doesn’t hit the floor. Where anyone else would have dropped her (save for Diavolo), Solomon takes it in stride, shifting her until he’s holding her bridal style.
“Let’s pack your bag, hm? The carriage will be here to pick us up in a few days.”
