Work Text:
[ACTUALLY, IT'S JUDGEMENT]
It was a quiet day in the office...until Azazel walked into the room, texting on her phone. "Guys, I have great news!"
Azazel's friends stopped what they were doing to look at her. "And this news is...?" asked Zdrada. The woman didn't really care what it was, but if it gave her an excuse to stop working, then she was all for listening to whatever the hell Azazel had to say. "You seem excited. More than usual."
"I have a girlfriend!" Azazel smiled, still texting on her phone. Everyone gave Azazel a look of awe. Azazel's friends were surprised to learn that the brunette was in a relationship, especially with a woman. "Her name is Judgement; she works at the gym near the building and is a sweet person."
Helltaker smiled. "That's great, Azzy." The burly man was the only person who didn't look at Azazel weird. "You deserve to be happy."
"So, this Judgement..." Pandemonica began, wiping her glasses before putting them back on her face. "He, like, lives with you?" Pandemonica didn't dislike Azazel, but she always viewed the peppy worker as a little bit weird. "The two of you share an apartment, house, wherever you guys live at?"
"Yep!" Azazel smiled, recalling the day she asked Judgement to move in with her. "He moved in last month. We did a lot to make our place nice."
"And that's going...well?" Pandemonica was doing her best not to sound confused, but she was finding it difficult. "Well for you, of course."
Azazel nodded. "Yeah-huh!" she replied. "She's such a sweet woman once you settle down and get to know her. That's precisely why I was drawn to her. Despite the widespread perception that she's a muscular woman who's only familiar with violence, she's considerably more complex than that."
"So she knew you and was like...more?" Zdrada asked, rather rudely. "I need more of that."
Azazel frowned. "What's that supposed to be, Z?"
"Nothing, nothing..." Zdrada replied, waving her hand. "Just, uh...just know that I'm happy for you."
Sensing the tension, Helltaker decided to input his thoughts. "Well, I think she sounds like a really neat woman." Helltaker had known Azazel for some time, so it was heartwarming to see the brunette fully devoted to someone who truly cared for her and was a perfect match. "Am I right?"
The others could agree with Helltaker. Azazel could be overwhelming on occasion, but she still deserved to have someone who loved her.
"Hey! There's my girl!" Taking everyone by surprise was Judgement, who walked over to Azazel and gave her a big hug. "So good to see you!"
Zdrada blinked twice, no, thrice. "She's black?!" she exclaimed, earning several 'Are you serious?' looks from nearly everyone. "That's a surprise."
"Actually, it's Judgement," corrected Judgement. "You must be Zdrada. Azzy talk about you a lot."
Everyone, minus Judgement, stared at Zdrada. "What?" said Zdrada, offended. "You were all thinking it. I see you; don't look at me look at me like that." So Zdrada didn't know Judgement was a buff woman of color. Did that really make her the villain? People were so damn sensitive these days.
"Honey, we always look at you like this..." Lucifer said, taking a swig of her coffee. "It's impossible not to."
