An adorably low giggled “Nick!” is the response that causes her grip on the shopping item to loosen to the point of almost letting it fall to the floor.
She leans closer to the shelf in an attempt to hear better what they're talking about, throwing all rules of etiquette into the wind.
“Okay, we have snacks we both like, some fruit and water,” she hears one of them say.
“I know we said we’d go and buy sandwiches at the train station before boarding the train to Vienna, but maybe we could use more bread?”
Shut up, they’re travelling home together? She almost squeals in her excitement.
“Nick,” she hears Charlie sigh fondly, “You and your newly discovered love for Polish bread. But yes, let’s do that”
