Izuku stumbled through the door and pressed it closed with his shoulder, giggling. The too-loud party music and happy chatter of dancing teens faded into a pulsing beat, absorbed by the white wood, and for once Izuku didn’t mind the bright bathroom light.
He clicked the lock and swayed forward into the counter, hips pressing into the edge, hands flat as he leaned in to look in the mirror. Joy bubbled in Izuku’s chest nonsensically. He stared himself in the eyes, cheeks pulling— oh… oh. He looked kind-of-so-good. His skin looked so soft. Izuku pet his own cheek, humming, closing his eyes and leaning into his hand for a second. He opened them and giggled at himself, biting his lips at the happy flush on his cheeks, his mussed hair, his bright eyes.
The counter edge was harsh, digging into the skin bared by the cutouts over his hips. Izuku didn’t mind that either. He felt great. He smiled at his flushed face, breathless, lungs full on the edge of laughter, oh-so happy. He was having so much fun. His curls looked good tonight— also soft. Mina had given him her conditioner, and also did something to his eyes that brought out the green and his eyelashes at the same time.
He looked kind of… pretty. Izuku liked the way his head and chest swirled with the feeling. The sink porcelain was cold where it brushed his fingers, and he readjusted, looking down and back up, dizzy with the motion.
Izuku blinked slowly at his reflection, cheeks tight where they cupped his joy. Wow. He was so drunk. The fact tickled him endlessly. Izuku widened his eyes, pouted, then broke into giggles. He smiled as wide as he could, then exhaled hard, laughing at himself— he had to pee, that was why he was here. Izuku swayed over to the toilet, catching himself on the wall and snickering at his clumsiness. He fumbled with his pants button and swelled with pride at how easily he managed to undo it. The door shook as someone banged on it, and he looked up too-slow, yelling a delayed something or other and immediately forgetting what it had been. His vision swayed with the motion, like a boat rocking over a gentle wave.
Izuku finished his business and washed his hands, nearly losing his balance when the warm tap water clouded his brain. He scrunched his face at his reflection, and almost nodded off as he dried his hand thoroughly on a very fluffy towel. Izuku messed with his curls in the glass a bit, wide smile taking over his face again, then remembered someone was waiting, and fumbled with the door. He swung it open, secretly hoping it was Kacchan, heart swelling at the possibility— but it wasn’t, and he stepped out to let them in.
Izuku blinked, hard. He was still in front of the sink. Had he only imagined all that? Wow. He hummed into a smile, leaning into the mirror again. He looked so much softer and sparklier than usual. The world seemed to ebb and flow with the buoyancy in his chest. He had to do this more often.
Izuku swung open the door still smiling, to find, to his utter delight, Kacchan. The other boy paused for a split second, eyes flicking over his face and down and back up again over him, and then he was crowding Izuku back into the bathroom, two hands on his waist.
Izuku couldn’t breathe through the laughter bubbling up and out of his chest, barely hearing how Katsuki kicked the door shut, barely feeling how Kacchan pressed him up against the wall beyond the warmth of him crowding close. Izuku threw his arms around his wide shoulders, loose and clumsy, smiling and breathless.
“What the fuck,” he heard Kacchan mutter, copper eyes dragging all over his face. Izuku giggled again. The hands on him cupped the dip of his sides perfectly, like puzzle pieces fitting together, and the heat of them warmed Izuku like a hearth.
“Hi,” he whispered, looking up at his boyfriend, and the hands on his waist squeezed, pushed him further into the wall, even though he had nowhere further to go.
The thought made him laugh. Kacchan cursed under his breath again, still staring, and Izuku gazed at him, smiling loopily, one hand playing with the back of his shirt and necklace chain.
“Ka—mmf!” Softness closed over his mouth, cutting him off. Izuku sighed into it, lips falling open, and a tongue licked into his mouth gently. Gently, Kacchan kissed him so gently when he was drunk. Kissed him all soft and careful and adoring, kissed and kissed him until he couldn’t breathe. Izuku melted into it, the hand not gripping Katsuki’s shirt scritching at the short hair at his nape.
Kacchan slipped a hand into his curls to tilt his head and kiss him deeper. It made Izuku’s head cloud over entirely. He made a noise he would forget moments later, and smiled at the thought of someone walking in on them, just two drunk teens making out in the bathroom of a house party. Joy threatened to burst out of his chest, and Kacchan had to pull away because he was smiling to hard to kiss properly, caught in too much laughter to catch his breath.
His cheeks hurt. Kacchan looked at him with eyes so warm Izuku could cry, but he wouldn’t, because he felt so happy, and a little silly. He leaned up on his tiptoes to press a soft kiss to Kacchan’s lips instead, just one, hoping it got the point across. He had to hold tight to Katsuki for balance, but Izuku knew he didn’t mind.
Kacchan closed his eyes for a second as if pained. He looked Izuku over again, then placed his palms over Izuku’s cheeks, face stern. Then he smushed them, satisfaction settling decidedly behind his eyes. It was so absurd Izuku had to laugh, muffled by the intermittent fish lips.
“Unbelievable,” Katsuki muttered. Izuku had no idea what he was talking about. Kacchan squeezed his face a bit more. Then the hands retreated to his waist again, gripping as if restrained. Izuku leaned into them, pleased.
“Kacchan,” Izuku said, but it was too loud. He tried again.
“Kacchan,” Izuku whispered, and Katsuki nodded at him to continue, brows raised patiently, “I feel…”
All at once Izuku felt shy. But this was Kacchan, so he powered through.
“I feel… pretty,” Izuku confided, hushed, barely audible by the end, but Katsuki must have heard, because he went still.
He went still, and his eyes darkened, and Izuku got butterflies from how intensely he was looking at him.
“Do you.” Kacchan said, voice deeper than usual, barely asking. Izuku nodded, cheeks warm, almost embarrassed but for the liquid courage in his veins.
Kacchan cupped Izuku’s face, cradling his jaw. He leaned closer.
“You’re always pretty,” Katsuki said, lowly. Izuku’s heart fluttered.
Kacchan visibly restrained himself, taking another deep breath with his eyes closed. He was looking into Izuku’s again in the span of an instant, letting him catch a glimpse of something burning and bright.
“Fuck, you’re so pretty,” Kacchan hissed, pressing their mouths together once more.
Izuku’s eyes nearly rolled back into his head, he felt so— so deliciously dazed and warm and fluttery. He loved being touched like this, cradled and adored. Kissed silly. Held like he was the air Katsuki needed to breathe. Being around Kacchan was its own kind of intoxication.
Izuku didn’t know how long they stayed there, Kacchan kissing him breathless, Izuku pulling away periodically to giggle and whisper something that inevitably made Katsuki lean in again to kiss him harder. The door might’ve opened once and closed again with a squeak. Izuku barely registered it, the whole world narrowed down to the nebulous joy filling his whole body, and the way Kacchan was kissing him like they were the only two people on Earth.
Eventually, Katsuki pulled off him with a wet pop, hand cradling his face, thumb roving over his cheek and pulling at the edge of his mouth while he looked at him from bare centimeters away.
Izuku stretched up for more, pouting when Katsuki stayed out of reach. Kacchan grinned at him devilishly.
“Kacchan…” Izuku whined, and Katsuki faltered, the healthy flush to his cheeks deepening for a second, but he stood his ground. Izuku scowled.
“Bastard,” Izuku grumbled, and Kacchan laughed, a big, open, unashamedly happy laugh that left Izuku helpless but to smile too. He vaguely recalled some notebook entry about how his dimples only showed when somebody really earned it. He loved making Kacchan happy. He loved Kacchan so much.
”I know, ‘Zuku,” Kacchan said, muffling the words against his forehead. Izuku was swept up in an impossibly smothering hug, then was all at once freed as Kacchan finally took a step back from him, holding his hand.
“Let’s go check the extras haven’t drowned themselves, yeah?” He said, pulling Izuku out the door. He said something else that was lost in the sudden barrage of noise. Izuku covered one ear with his free hand, and found Kacchan had already raised their joined hands to cover his other. He stared at the back of his boyfriend’s head adoringly while he pulled him through the party, their ears quickly adjusting to the volume.
Their friends were in the patio, and cheered at their return.
“Smells like shit out here,” Katsuki announced, ever the model houseguest.
“Where the hell have you guys been!” Ochako screeched, then fell over in her seat with laughter. Tsuyu carefully took her drink from her hands. “Wait, wait, I don’t want to know. Don’t tell me, I don’t want to know.”
They probably looked a sight, hair mussed and lips kiss-swollen and having been conspicuously absent together for however long. Izuku joined in with Ochako, breaking down into bubbly giggles, much to their friends’ amusement.
“Oh, look, you set him off,” Kirishima slurred, grinning from where he was hanging near upside down over a table. Kacchan’s arm lay heavy over Izuku’s shoulders while he swooped in to smooch him fondly on the cheek.
“Gross!”
”Get a room!”
”Fuck off!!”
”Jesus Christ!” ”Keep it in your pants!”
A chorus of teasing protests rose up at their display. Izuku noted that Shouto was half-asleep on Sero’s lap, who had his feet over Kaminari, who was leaning against Kirishima’s table and playing with his hair, Mina’s head also in his lap.
“We just came from a room,” Kacchan countered, because he was a dick. Izuku blushed bright red but didn’t deny it, smiling into his hands as Katsuki led them to a seat.
“Petition to kill them.” “Seconded.” “Petition to amend the res— Res. Resolution. To just kill Bakugou.”
“Yeah, Midoriya didn’t do anything.”
”Yes he did!! He’s laughing at us right now!”
”You sick fuck, you would kill Bakugou and leave Midoriya without his Kacchan? You sick, sick fr—“
”OKAY. Okay, sorry, jesus.”
”—eak. You want Midoriya to yourself, don’t you. Oh, you sick, sick—“
”SHUT THE FUCK UP.” Kacchan had evidently had enough. But he had been laughing, too, which weakened the force of his command a bit, so his friends negged him some more, tripping over each other to piss him off most. Izuku cuddled into his side and joined in here and there, breaking down at the betrayed look Kacchan gave him.
He woke up to low murmurs and a hand stroking gently through his hair. “Yeah, I got him,” he heard a dearly familiar voice say quietly, amidst get-home-safe’s and text-me-when-you’re-back’s around the room.
Curls were brushed carefully off his forehead to make room for lips. “Izuku,” he heard, and he shifted closer stubbornly, “Baby, it’s time to go.”
Izuku groaned.
“C’mon,” he heard, the voice bright with amusement, “Don’t you want to sleep in a bed?”
“Mmmffmfm,” Izuku replied intelligently.
“I see,” Kacchan said.
“Kacchan’s here,” Izuku slurred.
“‘Course I am,” Katsuki said amiably. He was moving away, and Izuku whined loudly.
“‘Zuku, I’m gonna take you, chill,”
“Noooo. Kacchan’s here, don’t needa bed, just need Kacchan,” Izuku said at the same time.
Katsuki paused. He sighed.
“Damn dork,” Izuku heard him mutter, a smile pulling on the shape of the words, before the seat fell away from beneath Izuku as he was lifted into the air.
He was still warm, though, still in Kacchan’s arms, so he didn’t mind. He sighed happily and wrapped his limbs around his boyfriend.
”Didn’t I look pretty tonight,” Izuku mumbled into his shoulder.
”You’re always the prettiest person in the room,” Kacchan said quietly. “Idiot,” he added. Izuku rubbed his face into his shirt giddily.
“Take me hooooome,” Izuku sing-songed sleepily. “Don’t let gooooo.”
He felt Kacchan shake his head and hold him tighter.
“As if,” Katsuki scoffed, and Izuku smiled.
