Chapter Text
When you're on the tech crew, you hear some pretty crazy stuff, although some of it is mildly changed to be more kid appropriate. So, here's a list of some of the best moments from the play!
★Gepetto was canonically (in this play) a stoner in highschool. During the scene where Puck casts the sleep mist, he jokes that he recognizes the mist, and in the original version, he mentions that he "smoked it in highschool"
★In the same scene, when Puck casts the love spell on multiple people, he jokes that this is the third time the Princess(sleeping beauty) has gotten a roofie. So what I want to know is who's letting the Princess do drugs?
★We have this joke backstage that the actor we have playing the Changeling is just the exact same person in a different font. It's honestly really funny to see him act on stage and then walk off stage and hear him just be like "Oh hi guys! Did I do alright? <( ̄︶ ̄)>"
★I can confirm that Tech Week has been(and currently is) Chaos. It was more fun for the first play I did, because the first play I did was like half an hour long. But it's fun to see all the special effects! And I can confirm that the first time we all heard the two different voice effects for Puck for the two different spells he does, we were all LOSING OUR MINDS. It was beautiful.
★For the children's musical, which we do specifically for the little kids, we're doing Finding Nemo. And there's this line where the Mermaid is saying that all the magic is gone, and she mentions that Little Nemo is gone(she also mentions that Atlantis and Aquaman are gone). Because we're doing Finding Nemo, at this moment, Gepetto, Dirk Dead-Eye, and the Mermaid all look over at one corner of the theater, where the kid playing Nemo is in their Nemo costume. And then that spotlight turns off and Mermaid says that the works of Julius Verne are also gone.
★Cupid has the most troubles with his costume out of any of the other characters. Usually, these problems are just the shoes falling apart, or him dropping his bow or his arrows or both(and once even his wings). It's kinda funny, but could be problematic during the actual show.
★The other day, when Moth was doing the scene where she's talking about how she was poisoned, she looks over to where Dirk Dead-Eye was, and he had run into the wall. So she started laughing, and so did everyone else. After that, we had to start putting glow tape down by the extra walls.
There's probably more that's going to happen, but for now, that's all that's really happened with our production of Fairycakes! Tommorow night we have our test audience, and we open the show on Friday night! Wish us luck!
