You Were Meant to be Mine

Summary:

J.D. is crazy, but only for Varian Sawyer, who has been rejecting his affections. So Jason is going to have to make Varian for once have some common sense, because after all, he was meant to be his.

Work Text:

Varian panicked when he heard the window open. It was supposed to be locked. Quickly, and as silently as he could, he ran over to the closet, and opened the door.

"Knock knock," he heard that once kind and loving voice say as he entered as home. "Sorry for coming in through the window, dreadful etiquette, I know."

He didn't have much time. He locked himself in the closet before saying, "Get out of my house!" J. D. laughed and he could tell that he was only a couple feet away.

"Aw, hiding in a closet, are we? Come on, baby, open the door." He cooed. God, Varian hated that voice.

"No, I'll scream. My parents will call the police!" He protested. J. D. laughed in the cruel way that Varian couldn't believe that he once loved.

The other boy walked away from his closet door, pacing probably. "All is forgiven baby, come on out and get dressed! You're my date to the pep rally tonight!" Varian nearly choked on his on breath.

"What, why?" He asked, doing his best to hide his absolute terror.

"Our classmates thought they were signing a petition, you gotta come on out here and see what they really signed!" J. D. yelled at him. He seemed to grow angrier. "You tossed me out like I was trash, for that you should be dead-But, but, but! Then it hit me like a flash, what if highschool went away instead?

"Those assholes are the key, they've been keeping you away from me! The made you blind messed up your mind, but I can set you free! You left me and I fell apart, I punched the wall and cried

BAM! BAM! BAM!

"Then I found you, changed my heart, and set lose all that truthful shit inside!" Fuck. Right when Varian had thought that maybe he was calming down a bit after his screaming, he was building back up like the dramatic bitch he was.

"And so I built I bomb!" Wait, what? "Tonight our school is Vietnam!" Varian hated how some deep, dark part of him loved how dark that joke was, and how J. D. chuckled at that. "Let's guarantee, they never see, their senior prom!!!" Then his voice became soft and gentle, just like the boy that he had fallen in love with.

"I was meant to be yours, we were meant to be one. Don't, give up, on me now, finish what we begun. I was meant to be yours." Then he was back. "So when the highschool gym goes BOOM!!! with everyone inside; Phcew! Phcew! Phcew! On the rubble of their tomb, we'll plant this note explaining why they died!

We, the students of Westerberg High, will die. Our burned bodies will finally get through, to you. Your society churns out slaves and blanks, no thanks! Signed, the students of Westerberg High,

Goodbye!

"We'll watch the smoke pour out the doors, bring marshmallows, we'll make s'mores!" Varian was shaking in fear, he couldn't control it. He was sobbing in fear, clutching the noose like a lifeline, waiting for the right moment to end it all.  "We can sit and cuddle while, the Fire roa-"

          "Cut!"

Izuku relaxed, looking disappointed in himself. "I'm sorry, Mr. Aizawa, I'll try and do better. Do you have any notes for me to-?"

"No, it's not you problem child." Aizawa sighed. "You're scaring everyone. Eri especially." Izuku seemed heartbroken as he looked over to the sobbing ten year old. She was, scared of him. Of him! He felt horrible.

Izuku whipped around at a thud, and gasped when he saw Katsuki collapse on the ground, just outside of the closet where he had been 'hiding' from Izuku. He was sobbing, shaking in absolute terror.

"Oh, Kacchan," he whispered, and he ran towards him, taking his boyfriend in his arms, feeling heartbroken when he felt Katsuki flinch away from his gentle touch. "Someone get Mina, I need this makeup off me." He ordered gently as he removed his coat and draped it over the poor boy.

Mina was over in moments with makeup wipes, and tissues, wiping the snot and tears and makeup from Katsuki's own face, while Izuku removed his wig and wiped off his own makeup. But he chose to leave on the nail polish. Eri had done it for him, and he loved it. "Hey, it's going to be ok. I'm going to give you some space, and go comfort Eri, ok love?" Katsuki just whimpered, and Izuku nodded before going over to Eri.

"Hey Eri, you ok, Sunshine?" He asked gently, and Eri flung herself into his arms, sobbing. He shushed her as he petted her hair and reassured her that he would never really hurt anyone, that it was all just an act he put on for the movie. She buried her face into his neck, and heard a collective "Awww," from everyone around, including the people from the News Outlet. Shit. He had forgotten that they were here.

But Izuku out that thought aside. Eri and Katsuki needed his support right now. Usually, Katsuki was ok when Izuku had to act out the role of the crazed, abusive boyfriend. They'd been doing this for a while, and they both shared a love of musicals. They'd been singing along to the soundtracks together for as long as Izuku could remember. But something was wrong now, because this time he caused the person he loved most in the world to have a panic attack. And it hurt, because he didn't know why, and he didn't know what to do.

"Is Kat ok?" Eri asked, seemingly worried for her friend. Izuku shook his head.

"No, he's having a panic attack again, and it's all my fault this time."

"Ok, I'll help him then!" Izuku sighed sadly. She was so young and optimistic. He lifted up the sleeve of his shirt to so her some soft, barely noticeable-or even all there-scars.

"Maybe it's better not to, Eri. Kats has a history of sometimes, out of fear, attacking people and acting violently during his panic attacks. It's not his fault, he's just scared, but last time I intervened, he clawed at my arm until I bled. I'm not letting that happen to you." He tried to tell her. But the ever so overconfident child slipped past him and went over to Katsuki.

And, Katsuki didn't hurt her. She was able to help him calm down. As much as he appreciated it though, Izuku felt, upset. Mainly that Katsuki trusted a ten year old girl more than he trusted his own boyfriend. But he would never admit it. He wanted his beloved to be happy.
