Alex stared at her, not sure if she believed her. Kara gave her a smile, hoping that was enough to derail her sister. “I’m just tired.”
“Are you sure?” Alex asked again, her eyes on her younger sister.
Kara smiled. “Yeah, I’m fine Alex,” she lied, wishing it was the truth.
