“No stop! Please! ” Tim sobbed, screaming out as a piercing pain burned through his chest.
The people in stark white lab coats continued to work on cutting through Tim’s flesh. The scalpels left behind streaks and rivers of dark crimson.
Tim sobbed, his entire body convulsing as his power surged through his bloodstream, taking hold of him. His chest and limbs warmed to a near-burning sensation, a faint light glowing against the edges of his lacerations. The blood that managed to escape quickly flared with golden light before disappearing in a burst of heat.
The metal and leather straps fastened around his wrists and ankles bit viciously into his raw skin, the marks immediately glowing and healing right after. The people in the coats did nothing to help.
“Test 23, success,” one of them said,
Fire tore through his system, burning his veins and arteries as they forced his wounds close.
“Take the experiment back to the containment zone. Resume Rest Schedule. The next test will commence in two days.”
Tim sobbed weakly as the straps were released.
He doesn’t know how much longer he could survive.
