Summary
Carmen Scott is a senior in college trying to finish her thesis on child development in children with single parents. One of her prime research subjects just so happens to be Sarah Miller.
Joel Miller sees how happy Sarah's one-hour a week sessions with Carmen make her. He knows that Carmen is a good influence on Sarah and brings true happiness to her eyes. Carmen is what Sarah has been missing in her life.
