Early in the morning where the sun has just risen, in a cafe two men are preparing multiple pastries and confectionery.
An older man is making the bread and cakes, kneading dough and mixing cake batter. The sound of the oven baking the pastries can be heard in the background.
While the younger man is arranging the pastries and confectionery inside a glass shelf, trays of sweets are filling the shelf, he then continues his work with arranging and wiping multiple tables.
By the time the older man has finished making all of the pastries, he then switches his work to prepare the coffee, the sound of coffee beans being grinded accompanied him while he whipped some cups.
The sun continued to rise and the light shone through the windows. People started to line up outside the cafe where they were chatting while waiting for the store to open.
The younger man glanced at the clock at almost 07.00 AM, he tidied himself a bit before striding to the glass door flipping a sign from 'close' to 'open', he opened the door and the aroma of butter,sugar and coffee can be smelled from inside the place, he greeted the people outside to come inside.
" Welcome to Sweet Moon Cafe! "
'Sweet Moon Cafe' is a cafe with a bakery combined with the place, customers can eat at the place and also choose their choices of sweets from the array of pastries and confectionery displayed inside the glass shelf, a lot of customers also like to buy the sweets directly and packed it up to eat later, the cafe also received some cake order from customers that have become a regular. The cafe is also famous for the coffee that is served from americano, cappuccino and latte, the aroma of fresh coffee can be smelled inside of the cafe.
The cafe is owned by a man named Ryu Gunwoo and a single employee Park Moondae, they split their roles in the cafe with Ryu Gunwoo the one baking all the breads and cakes, he also the barista that brew the coffee that's served and mix various other drink, while Park Moondae is usually the one interacting with the customers, greeting and serving them his cheerful personality and bright smile attract many people to come to the cafe again.
The cafe is pretty popular with many regular customers since the location of the cafe is near a university, office ward and a high school so a lot of people came to eat and bought from the cafe since it's close by, people usually come in early in the morning to eat and buy breakfast, at lunch time usually is filled with office worker and university students came to eat at their break time, and in the afternoon high school students that just went home from school buy some of their bread for after school snacks.
The cafe has been operating for a year now and has been quite successful, regular customers keep coming and the pastries and confectionery always sold out by the time they closed the cafe for the day.
" Moondae put a new tray of meat and cheese bread, and brownie cookie in the shelf ".
Gunwoo said while bringing a new tray of bread and cookies.
" Yes hyung! ", he answered by picking up the new tray, putting them inside the glass shelf and taking the empty tray to the kitchen.
" ...Another busy day ", Gunwoo said while gazing at the the cafe tables that's all reserve and many customers are lining beside the glass shelf taking turn picking their chosen sweets.
" Yeah, the lunch time is always the busiest hour, the cafe is absolutely full! ", Moondae huff whipping his forehead.
Gunwoo pats Moondae's head fondly " Well you better get to the counter people are lining up already ", he gestures to the cashier.
" Ah! Yes hyung! ", Moondae hurried went to the cashier.
" Haah, that child… " Gunwoo sigh fondly at the sight of Moondae happily served the customers. When he hear a sound from the kitchen.
"Ting"
" Ah! The castella cake is ready ". He also hurried, to the kitchen to take out the cake from the oven.
" Haaaa… I'm so tired, I can't believe I have to do another revision… "
The sound of a long sigh can be heard from a young men mouth, Bae Sejin have just went from his professor office, he has come to ascension his thesis to his professor, unfortunately the professor is still not satisfied with his current work on his thesis.
He feel so tired and sleepy, after pulling an all nighter last night he still need to do another revision.
He wanted to cry he felt so drained and the desire to just left his assignment is getting stronger, but he really needs the grades from this assignment to pass this semester.
"Grumbleee~"
"Ugh! I was so stressed by the assignment I forgot to eat… "
Sejin feel surprised and embarrass by the sound of his stomach grumbling quite loud.
'Maybe I should go to that cafe, I never got the chance to go because I was so busy with assignment'.
Bae Sejin thought as he heads to the direction of the cafe, actually he's has been recommended to go there by his friend at university, he heard from them that the food and coffee served there are to die for.
He has been curious all this time because it seems all the people he knows has been there, so he decided to went there to finally tried the cafe food his friends has been talking about.
' it should be around here… '
Bae Sejin is looking around to find the cafe, after a few minutes walking he sees a building that's look like the place he's looking for.
' Oh there it is! '
He spotted a building with a sign on top that's written 'Sweet Moon Cafe'.
' This must be the place… '. He walk to the glass door, when he entered he is welcomed with a smile by a cheerful young man.
" Welcome to Sweet Moon Cafe! "
The young man welcome him brightly, he can feel positive energy radiance from this man.
' Wow, he's so cute! ', Bae Sejin thought as he went to the counter to order his food.
" Excuse me, this is the first time I went here, I would like to order please ", as he ask the young man.
" You can choose and pick your own choice of sweets to eat here while you need to order your choice of drinks, I recommend our coffee drinks it's pretty popular with our customers, I will take notes of your order if you are ready with your choice! ". He happily answered and explain it to him.
" Is that so… " He looked at the choices of drinks that's written and a bit struggling to choose.
" …Then for the drink I will order a latte ".
He finally chosen his drink.
" Ok! Would you like for your latte to be added some foam art? " The young man question for his order.
" Oh! Yes, I would love to. Can it be a hamster shape? ".
" Yes! Of course, that's your drink order please choose your choice of sweets, the trays is right there, I will note your order when you are done choosing! ".
He went to pick up his tray and started to gaze the breads and cakes that's displayed behind the glass shelf.
' Woow! All of it looks so good! '.
All of the food he sees looks absolutely delicious his mouth starts to water, he can smell the butter and sugar glaze of the pastries, he was confused about which one to choose. Then his eyes laid on the castella cake, thick fluffy cake with a generous amount of whipped cream between the cake, and the size of the piece of cake is pretty big. He has made his choice. He takes a slice of cake and put it on his tray, he was wondering what to add next to his tray and the s'mores cookies catch his eyes, big pieces of cookie with marshmallow in the middle with a chocolate piece on top, he takes two piece of cookie and went to the counter to note his order.
The young man see his tray and ask his order.
" Is that all your order? "
" Yes, that's all "
He smiles " Alright, please sit down on the empty seat while you wait for your drink ", he gestures at an empty seat.
He sits down on the empty seat and table to wait for his drink, then his eyes catches the person making the coffee drink.
' Oh wow… what a handsome man… '
The man making his drink is a handsome glasses man with a cold and mature aura, he's skillfully brewing the coffee and mixing the coffee with cream, then continued to add the foam he carefully draw on the foam. That whole process looks like only takes a few seconds for him to make the drink.
" Moondae the drink order is ready ", he calls to the young man(Moondae?) to take order.
" Yes Gunwoo hyung! "
He take the drink and send it to his table.
" Here's your latte, enjoy your meal! "
" Yes, thank you! "
He looked at the latte with the foam art, a cream foam that is shaped and drawn like a round chubby hamster is jiggling on the surface of the latte.
' Soo cuteee! '
He couldn't resist the urge to squilled, he took his smartphone out of his pocket, and take some pictures of the latte and his cake order before he eats it.
After he's done taking his orders pictures he started to take a piece of the castella cake and went for a bit, when he tastes that cake it feels like his body is floating through the clouds, the soft and fluffy texture of the cake the light sweetness of the whipped cream both of them melted in his mouth.
'... Is this the taste of heaven?! ' he thought as he feels like his head is flying to the moon.
After tasting the castella cake, he went to the s'mores cookie, he took a piece and bites through the cookie, marshmallow and chocolate. The crunchy and buttery texture of the cookie, the sweet and chewiness of the marshmallow and the balance of sweet and bitter of the chocolate creates an amazing combination of taste from the cookie.
To clean his mouth he took a sip from the latte, placing the cup near his mouth he can smell the aroma of fresh coffee and the smell of the cream, the taste of bitter coffee spread on his tongue with a bit of sweetness, combined with the milky taste of the cream really bring his heart at ease.
Feeling happy he savored every bites of cake, every crumb of cookie and every drop of coffee he savored it like it's food sent by the heaven.
Finishing his food and drink feeling better than before he understand why the cafe is so popular now, the taste of the foods and drinks served in this cafe to put it simply it's Heavenly. Not to mention the service provide from the two men are excellent, although he can get it the reason why people would come again to this cafe, glancing at the two men behind the counter gazing at their faces, yes he can understand with both of their handsome face combined with the older man(Gunwoo hyung?) Cold beauty aura and the younger man(Moondae?) Cute and cheerful charms both of them became the eye candy of this cafe.
Feeling satisfied he was about to went to the cashier to pay but then he feels like he wants to bought some of the castella cake so he can enjoy it at home, he also remember he still needs to revision his thesis assignment, he will need that castella cake for mood booster if he wants to survive doing another all nighter finishing his assignment.
He took two piece of castella cake and went to the cashier to pay for his food and drink, the young man pack the cake nicely in a box and put it inside a bag with the cafe logo on it.
" Here's your cake, thank you for coming today!". He politely thank him for coming to the cafe.
" Yes, thank you for the food and drink you have served me ". He also thank him back.
" Thank you, and please come back later! "
" Yes, I will! "
' I'm definitely coming back! '
