"Arisu... You'll find out soon enough. You'll be given two choices. No matter which one you pick, you will learn the answer. And you'll learn who you really are when you choose. You'll soon find out," Mira smiled at them as she continued talking, "Life is just... a game we play together. You should try to enjoy it." As the laser came down and hit Mira, Arisu and Usagi watched as she continued to smile even as she died
Arisu and Usagi smiled and felt like crying as they listened. The disembodied voice started talking, "Congratulations, All games have now been cleared." The two looked at each other and smiled as the Queen of Hearts blimp fell.
Arisu started to cry as he whispered, "I did it Karube... You can finally rest easy Chota... Thank you for believing in me." The voice spoke once more, telling them that they would now be able to choose between permanent residency and the ability to go back to the real world. Arisu turned to Usagi, "What do you think?"
Usagi smiled at him and grabbed his hand, "I'm staying with you no matter what Arisu, you're not getting rid of me, ANY time soon." Arisu nodded and looked up before smiling at the fireworks, he accepted residency. Usagi squeezed his hand as she agreed along side him. The two sat down and watched the fireworks until everything turned black.
When Arisu opened his eyes he was in a hospital building, he sat up slowly holding his head. "Have fun taking your nap Arisu?" Arisu's head whipped around as he looked at the blond. The cat-like man smirked at him and gave Arisu a little wave, "you should take it slow, Mr. I-Defeated-Mira."
Arisu rushed up and pulled Chishiya into a tight hug, "You're alive!" Arisu started crying, "You're alive..." Chishiya let Arisu hug him for another minute before pushing him away. Arisu sat down while Chishiya explained what everything about becoming Face Cards meant. Arisu listened before realizing, "Wait, who stayed and what card are they?"
Chishiya watched him for a couple seconds before sitting down in front of him, "There's me, I became the King of Diamonds, obviously," Arisu smiled at the comment, Chishiya's smirk returned as he continued, "then there's you who is the King of Hearts, personally I think you'd be great as a club but that's just me." Arisu looked down when he heard which Face Card he had become, "Usagi stayed and became the Queen of Spades, Kuina did as well and became the Queen of clubs. As for the others, I believe Ann stayed and became the Queen of Diamonds because of Kuina but that's besides the point. I also didn't keep track of anyone else who is important."
Chishiya watched Arisu for his reaction after finishing. Arisu nodded and started mumbling about how that makes sense, before he realized something. He looked up and noticed Chishiya watching him. "If.. all of us became what you say we became then... who's the other Face Cards, also who qualifies as 'not important'?" Chishiya hummed as he thought about Arisu's question.
Chishiya stood up as he watched Arisu before answering, "Aguni stayed and I think he became the King of Spades. You don't know them but two people by the names of Banda Sunato and Yaba Oki became the Jacks of Diamond and Heart, Banda the Diamond and Yaba the Heart. To be fair it makes sense to me on why which is which but you will meet them soon. As for the King of Clubs, Jack of Spades, Jack of Clubs, Queen of Hearts, I do not know who they are. Nor do I care for that matter." Chishiya walked over to the door and gave him a nod, "I'll let you do your own thing from now on." The Blond left after that, soon though Usagi visited him and helped him out of the room, the two smiling as they walked together.
Usagi held Arisu's hand as she hummed softly. Arisu looked around before asking Usagi about everyone's previous injuries, as well as asking if they were healed. Usagi paused before nodding and speaking, "Well Chishiya patched all of us up but those of us with fatal injuries are healed, just sore. I think Aguni and Ann are ok as well, all their fatal injuries were healed so we're all glad about that. Other than some minor scrapes and bruises we're all good!"
Arisu smiled brightly at her as he spoke excited, "I'm glad everyone's ok! We should go say hi to Kuina! I wanna check in on her even though you said she was fine." Usagi nodded agreeing, Arisu then remembered that they were Face Cards now so he then turned to face forwards and questioned her about the games.
Usagi gave him a quick smile before pulling him back into the building. They walked past the room Arisu had been in and wandered into the basement. Usagi pulled him through the darkened room until they reached a tunnel. After traveling through they got to a huge room filled with monitors, The Gamer's Den. Arisu watched as he saw his friends alive, from Kuina who was looking over Ann's shoulder as she read with Chishiya to Aguni who was just playing cards with two men he didn't recognize, one looked over with a smirk and Arisu immediately felt like that man should be friends with Chishiya.
Kuina noticed him and waved him over, smiling, as she gently nudged Ann. Ann put down her book, inclining Chishiya to do the same and put down his book. Both Diamonds greeted Arisu with a small wave and monotone expression, except for a small smile from Ann when Kuina bookmarked Ann's page. Usagi turned to Arisu and smiled at him, "You asked about the games so I brought you to the other Game Makers, my game is climbing based, you have to do an obstacle course and not fall of course, called 'Obstacle'. The hospital you were in is Chishiya's game, its like a pop quiz, think of it like a test of memory except," she motioned for Chishiya to finish.
The blond shifted and sat properly, he smirked as he continued, "All the answers are in the hospital, there's a library if you check. Its quite funny since some questions also pertain to Borderland as well. The name is just 'Trivia Night' and it has no player limit. It starts at night of course and if you answer incorrectly its a game over immediately, oh right no time limit either questions only get asked at night, infinite food since I'm not a monster."
After my game I guess I can tell you Aguni and the loner's games, Aguni's is the exact same as the old King of Spades, the actual name is in fact 'Survival,' very basic I know, all you have to do is not die. Anyways, Banda, the one the looked at you, his game is Dissect and I will not be explaining that game. Yaba's is just a game you have to not get tricked, similar to the Queen of Hearts I've been told. The name is Trickster." Chishiya finished explaining he leaned back and picked up his book again.
Kuina smiled brightly, "I'll explain everyone else's games! Mine's called 'Helping Hand', you have to team up with the other players to complete different tasks. Ann's is called 'Analysis', you have to figure out how a crime was committed! Ann's game is so cool!" Arisu smiled and agreed, they all started talking until Aguni and the others walked over, Aguni had came over to ask what game Arisu made.
Arisu's eyes widened at the question before he hesitantly answered, "Well I didn't have as much time as you all but well maybe it could be really simple? Like, the players have to follow me threw a tunnel? And I'm the only one who knows the way, they need to follow me to the end. No player limit, but the time limit is 2 hours."
Chishiya hummed before smirking at him, "And its a heart since most wouldn't follow you, The King of Hearts," Arisu nodded as he looked at the others for approval.
Usagi smiled as she took Arisu's hand, "That's a great game Arisu, just one question. What's the name?"
Arisu looked proud as he turned and looked at the cameras, "The name? Easy, Trust."
Trust: Giving someone the authority to destroy you completely but, having the confidence that they would never do it
