“I believe I can help,” were the first words Kumarbabu heard from Lava Kumar. “I am…” He paused. “I was a bank manager.”
Although his face was familiar, the expressions in it were those of a different man. There was another one by his elbow, wearing dark sunglasses who rendered his particular expressions hard to read. The third man who possessed that same face, yet painted it with a row of mischievous smiles that Kumar had seen plenty of times before, was chatting away with Chitti on the side.
Kumar knew who they were. The village wouldn’t speak of anything else for days other than the triplets that settled in an outlying property among the corn fields around Rangasthalam. But he had never seen them together before.
Kumar patted Lava’s shoulder.
“Walk with me. Let’s talk.”
