My Cupcake and My Stars

Summary:

“What do you like looking at the most?”

Dr. Huang stilled - he seemed to think, while Jaemin did not take his eyes off Dr. Huang even once. It was a question that was untypical for Jaemin - and Dr. Huang seemed to be surprised about the question as well, even though he barely showed it.

“The stars. I like looking at the stars, they’re calm and peaceful. I wonder about their existence, in which galaxy they are and how long ago they existed. But I always like looking at their never fading light. What about you, Jaemin?”

“I like looking at you the most.”

SCP-8130

Item #: SCP-8130

Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-8130 is to be contained in an area measuring 5m x 5m (16ft x 16ft) including several walls surrounding the area, as well as several high security doors. The Material has to withhold immeasurable strength, as SCP-8130 regularly attempts to bend and open walls as well as doors.

No physical nor eye contact is to be made, as looking in SCP-8130 eyes can very likely trigger the uncanny valley phenomenon, and cause personnel to stand paralyzed in fear. Personnel paralyzed in fear have to be removed immediately, or else SCP-8130 will quickly attempt to consume his paralyzed victims.

SCP-8130 has to be regularly fed with whole animals such as bunnies or ducks. If SCP-8130 tries to escape or emits loud, shrill noises, larger animals will have to be given, such as pigs or cows. If requested, SCP-8130 is allowed to be fed an additional amount of five (5) bones. Feedings of SCP-8130 can only be done in proper safety gear.

Description: SCP-8130 appears to be a young adult aged 20-25. He has black hair and is approximately 190cm (6.2ft) tall. He’s dressed in a white T-Shirt and gray sweatpants, and has a few black lines seemingly going all over his body. There are a few rings attached to his ears which could be considered piercings.

It is immediately noticeable that he is not human, as every personnel upon entering its containment chamber reports feeling uncomfortable in the presence of SCP-8130, as well as reports their gut feeling identifying him as non-human. He has more teeth than an average human being and can unhinge his jaw to unnatural extents, especially seen when consuming large animals. SCP-8130 has a second set of teeth, revealing itself when crushing bones to consume them, as well as when he is consuming raw meat.

SCP-8130 is able to hold conversations and will answer questions by the personnel if in the mood. SCP-8130 refers to himself as ‘Jaemin’, but has yet to elaborate where the name comes from and why he uses it. SCP-8130 can be incredibly fast and regularly seems to show the desire of wanting to consume human beings. He claims to not be at full strength and feeling weak, though it is yet to be determined whether he is telling the truth and whether it is connected to his wish to consume human beings.

“This is Researcher Doctor Renjun Huang, assigned researcher for SCP-8130. I will soon enter SCP-8130’s containment cell and today I will be studying its habits with me in the room.”

A quiet rustling was heard before the camera was adjusted. It showed a computer screen which was showing CCTV-Footage of the containment chamber SCP-8130 was residing in. Dr. Huang was placing some documents on the side, while SCP-8130 seemed to shift. His head turned towards the CCTV camera.

“I wanted to watch him a little before going inside… oh! Seems like he noticed the camera.”

SCP-8130 stood up from the corner he was sitting in before, slowly going up to the CCTV camera. Dr. Huang gasped quietly and his hand settled on the table - he seemed fascinated. SCP-8130 stopped in front of the CCTV camera, staring right at it. Dr. Huang cleared his voice.

“I don’t think he knows he’s being watched, but I do think he’s curious. Maybe he’ll ask about it when I go inside.”

The view turned black, and after a few seconds of silence there was a rustling before the camera screen showed someone in some sort of safety gear again. The view turned towards a door, and a quiet cough was heard.

“I’m in the safety gear now, and this is the last security door I have to enter to get into SCP-8130’s cell.”

A quiet squeak was heard before the door opened, showing a dark room. Dr. Huang stepped inside and closed the door behind him, before turning the camera in the direction of SCP-8130. Both of them didn’t move for a while, and Dr. Huang once again cleared his throat.

“Is it okay with you if I turn on the light?”

SCP-8130’s expression changed - he seemed a little surprised, but nodded. The light flickered before it turned on completely, showing SCP-8130 fully. In the middle of a room was a table, which Dr. Huang went to. The camera was placed on the table, facing SCP-8130 while it sounded like a chair was pulled back.

Dr. Huang must’ve settled on the chair, while SCP-8130 carefully came closer. The black lines on his upper body weren’t as noticeable as it could be assumed and his white T-Shirt was surprisingly clean. SCP-8130 sat down in front of the camera and it became obvious that he seemed quite muscular, and probably was quite strong as well.

SCP-8130’s eyes were a dark brown, and his black hair was brushed out of his face. He seemed extremely focused on Dr. Huang, as his eyes were focused on one place. Dr. Huang either didn’t seem to notice, or was basking in the silence.

“My name is Doctor Huang. I work here as a researcher, and my task is to work with you. So far you seem very calm, so I hope you’re not bothered by my presence, because I will visit you more often.”

“I’m Jaemin.”

Jaemin’s voice was deep, and his arms settled on the table. There was a new wave of silence, in which Jaemin simply continued to observe Dr. Huang. Jaemin’s eyes seemed to be a lighter brown now and somewhat gentle, and while he sat there like that he almost seemed like a normal human being.

“What… is this thing?”

“This is a camera. It can replay moments as they happen. If you pick it up and turn it towards me, you can see me inside of it as well.”

A quiet rustling was heard before the camera was picked up - turning towards Dr. Huang. Jaemin made a fascinated noise, while Dr. Huang seemed to smile gently. Jaemin seemed to observe the camera for a longer while before putting it down, adjusting it in the place it was beforehand.

“And what does this thing do?”

Jaemin pointed into a corner of the room, and it was fair to assume that the CCTV camera was in that corner.

“A CCTV camera. It does the same as the one I have on the table, except you can watch what it records from the outside.”

There was a short silence before a pen was heard - indicating that Dr. Huang was taking notes. Jaemin leaned his head on the table, staring right into the camera - his expression not changing. He himself didn’t seem threatening, yet the look in his eyes was undefinable and somewhat intimidating.

“I will get going now, Jaemin. I hope you have a good day and thank you for talking to me today.”

Jaemin’s head lifted before a chair got pushed back - probably because Dr. Huang stood up. The camera was lifted up before it got turned off and the picture went back to a black screen.

Addendum 8130-01: On ██/██/████ SCP-8130 has successfully paralyzed personnel which could not be removed quickly enough. SCP-8130 quickly consumed its victim and revealed unknown strength, managing to escape the facility with the newly-gained strength, hereby proving his claims.

A camera was turned on, showing a different room than in the last recording. A short rustle was heard before a chair was turned back and someone sat down on it. It wasn’t Dr. Huang, but rather someone else.

“This is Researcher Doctor Chenle Zhong, filling in for SCP-8130’s assigned researcher Doctor Huang. Doctor Huang requested me to film the eating habits of SCP-8130 today, so I will be entering its containment chamber soon.”

The screen turned black after a little rustling, before it got turned on again. A security door was opened, revealing the containment chamber of SCP-8130. This time, he was sitting in a corner, quietly. Dr. Zhong cleared his throat.

“I’m Doctor Zhong. Doctor Huang has asked me to look over you for today, as he has a free day today. He requested me to record you eating.”

Jaemin barely budged, letting out a low growl. The security door opened once again, and other people in safety gear stepped inside. One of them was carrying a dead duck, placing it on the table. Dr. Zhong panned the camera towards the table.

After a short while Jaemin entered the frame - sitting down at the table before looking at the duck. He ripped the duck’s head off - as well as its legs. When Jaemin opened his mouth a row of sharp teeth was seen, and they were put to use when Jaemin took the duck’s head in his mouth and chewed on it.

Jaemin’s eyes panned towards the camera - his eyes seeming red. He continued to eat - eating the duck’s feet next. After that, he unhinged his jaw and ate the duck's body completely. Yet, Jaemin seemed dissatisfied as he looked around. Shortly after he stood up, his eyes fixed on one point - or rather one person.

“Get him out! He’s paralyzed, get him out!”

The camera panned towards the paralyzed personnel - and other personnel scrambled to get to him - yet Jaemin was faster. Jaemin quickly grabbed the person frozen in fear, picking it up before unhinging his jaw. He bit off the person’s head - blood splattering on his white T-Shirt.

“Out of here! Quickly!”

Dr. Zhong was screaming at the personnel - which quickly opened the door and got out, Dr. Zhong following them closely. Dr. Zhong and the personnel seemed to run before the screen turned black.

The screen was back to a familiar room and Dr. Zhong was out of his safety gear - but still out of breath. He quickly turned the camera to the monitor showing the CCTV footage, clearing his throat quickly.

“Everyone else managed to get out safely. SCP-8130 managed to consume one of them completely now, and has been bending the walls and doors for a while now. I have to assume he’s going to escape soon.”

A loud bang was heard before an alarm system went off - the CCTV camera showing no more sign of Jaemin inside of the chamber. Dr. Zhong scrambled to turn the camera off, and soon enough the screen went back to black. Jaemin seemed to have escaped successfully.

Addendum 8130-02: On ██/██/████ SCP-8130 safely returned to the facility with Researcher Dr. Huang’s help. SCP-8130 claims to have searched for Dr. Huang, who had been on vacation for a week. He hasn’t started any other attempts of escaping the facility after the first incident.

“This is Researcher Doctor Renjun Huang, assigned researcher for SCP-8130. SCP-8130 has safely made it back to the facility after searching for me. I will now go back in SCP-8130’s containment chamber to ask more questions about the incident.”

The screen went black before it was back in a chamber, which seemed to be repaired once again. The camera seemed to be placed on the table, directed in Jaemin’s direction. His eyes were back to a dark brown, and he seemed to have calmed down completely.

“Hello Jaemin. How are you?”

Dr. Huang’s voice was gentle, and Jaemin’s head must’ve turned towards Dr. Huang. He grumbled lowly, but didn’t seem to threaten Dr. Huang. It took a while before he stood up, walking over to the table and sitting down on a chair.

“You.. escaped recently. Why did you do that?”

“You already know why.”

Jaemin seemed unamused, and settled his head on the table. His eyes seemed to be fixed on Dr. Huang nonetheless, but he seemed calm. Dr. Huang let out a soft chuckle.

“You’re right, I do. You searched for me. Why did you do that?”

Dr. Huang’s voice remained gentle and soft, but Jaemin looked away. It was hard to read his emotions - if he even felt any. Dr. Huang sighed quietly, putting something down - presumably a pen.

“You don’t have to answer, I can’t force you to. Is there something you’d like to talk about?”

“Why do you always wear this thing?”

Jaemin’s head turned back towards Dr. Huang, and he seemed to be at least a little bit curious. Dr. Huang chuckled softly, and soon enough it was completely silent. Dr. Huang seemed to think.

“It’s for safety. You… are pretty much dangerous for us humans. We don’t want to risk many casualties, you have already paralyzed quite a few of our personnel.”

Dr. Huang’s answer seemed nothing but the truth, yet he sounded careful. He stocked a little while answering, and it almost seemed like he didn’t want to hurt Jaemin. Jaemin on the other hand hummed lowly at the answer, resting his head on the table once again.

“I understand.”

“I’ll get going now, Jaemin.”

A chair was pushed back, and Jaemin looked up - right before the camera was picked up. There was the sound of rustling, Dr. Huang probably picked up something to write on and a pen, before the screen turned black.

Addendum 8130-03: On ██/██/████ SCP-8130 first expressed his own wish. He wished for Researcher Dr. Huang to be present during one of his meals. SCP-8130 hasn’t attempted causing any harm and let Dr. Huang ask him questions and also work in the meanwhile.

“This is Researcher Doctor Renjun Huang, assigned researcher for SCP-8130. Today I’ll be accompanying SCP-8130 once again and further watch its habits with me in the room.”

Dr. Huang was already dressed in safety gear when he opened a high security door, presumably the last as a room was immediately shown. Jaemin was already seated at the table, immediately lifting his head from it to face Renjun. While he wasn’t directly displaying any emotions, he did seem rather happy.

The camera was placed on the table before a chair moved - as Dr. Huang most likely must’ve sat down. Both of them were quiet for a while, and while it wasn’t easy to assume what Dr. Huang was doing, Jaemin was definitely paying attention to him carefully, observing each and every move Dr. Huang must’ve been doing.

“How are you Jaemin?”

“I’ve been doing okay.”

Dr. Huang hummed quietly, while Jaemin started to fidget with his fingers a little. He didn’t quite seem nervous, but he definitely seemed to be bugged by something. A pen was heard, indicating that Dr. Huang was writing something down - while Jaemin stopped fidgeting and focused on him fully again.

“Can you accompany me for a meal?”

“Oh? Sure. It shouldn’t be long before your next meal anyways.”

Jaemin seemed quite content with the answer and rested his head on the table again. He glanced at the camera and reached out to it, but quickly retracted his hand, almost as if he didn’t want to damage it. He simply focused on the camera again, slight curiosity seemingly packing him.

There was a while where none of them spoke, and only occasional movement was heard. Somewhen a door opened and a bunny was laid out on the table in front of Jaemin. He looked at the bunny and then back at Dr. Huang - the personnel probably didn’t leave yet, and he seemed almost confused by it.

“You can leave. I’ll accompany him.”

The personnel left after Dr. Huang told them to, but Jaemin still didn’t start eating the bunny. Instead, Jaemin’s eyes stayed focused on Dr. Huang, not moving an inch. Despite being so weirdly focused on Dr. Huang, Jaemin seemed calm and didn’t seem as if he’d intend to hurt Dr. Huang soon.

“What are you waiting for, Jaemin?”

“Aren’t you bothered if I eat? If you wanted to film my eating behaviors before, I must eat weirdly for you.”

Dr. Huang chuckled quietly, while Jaemin’s eyes stayed focused. He seemed serious about the question, as if he was uncomfortable with bothering or disgusting Dr. Huang. It was almost possible to forget Jaemin wasn’t human with how worried he seemed about his impression on Dr. Huang.

“I’m not, why would I? It’s not your fault. I’ll be happy if you eat.”

Jaemin nodded slowly before biting off the bunny’s head - his eyes still focused on Dr. Huang. The sound of a pen writing on paper was still heard quietly, and it truly seemed like Dr. Huang wasn’t bothered at all - simply continuing with his work. Jaemin’s shoulders relaxed a little, and only then it became obvious that Jaemin was tensed up.

“How do you use your sharper set of teeth, Jaemin?”

“When I want to eat, I make them rise up. And when I don’t need them, they’re safely covered in my mouth.”

Dr. Huang hummed quietly - while Jaemin continued to eat. It didn’t take long until the bunny was finished - but it was still evident that Jaemin just had a meal. While his white T-Shirt didn’t get drenched in more blood, his face had blood on it. A chair was pushed back, and shortly after that the frame of Dr. Huang came into the picture.

“Can you show your teeth to me?”

Jaemin hummed and it wasn’t hard to notice that he was showing his other set of teeth as well. The camera was quickly pulled up, showing Jaemin’s mouth up close. All of his second set of teeth were sharp - almost looked shark-like, except that they were retractable. He had little fangs, similar to cats - and the other set of teeth looked pretty human-like, except there were many more teeth than usual. The camera was set back on the table.

“Thank you.”

Dr. Huang pulled a cloth out of his safety gear - pouring some water on it before touching Jaemin’s face with it. Jaemin seemed surprised but stayed still - observing Dr. Huang, as usual. Dr. Huang retracted the cloth slowly when all the blood was gone from Jaemin’s face - slowly walking back.

“I have to go now, Jaemin. See you soon.”

Addendum 8130-04: On ██/██/████ SCP-8130 stated that he is highly interested in Researcher Dr. Huang. It seems that SCP-8130 formed an emotional bond with Dr. Huang and revealed that he can feel the emotions of any living being in close proximity. Dr. Huang intrigues SCP-8130 as he doesn’t seem to fear SCP-8130 at all. SCP-8130 additionally has started to refer to Dr. Huang with ‘cupcake’ after asking what it is.

“This is Researcher Doctor Renjun Huang, assigned researcher for SCP-8130. Today I’ll be accompanying SCP-8130 and further watch his habits with me in the room and ask him some questions.”

Dr. Huang smiled slightly before the screen turned black - showing a door a few seconds later. The door was opened and it was Jaemin’s room - it got some additional furniture apart from the table, bed and toilet it had before. It wasn’t obvious whether Jaemin requested the furniture or not - but he did seem a little less fixated on one place than before.

Jaemin immediately headed to the table when the door was opened - sitting down and watching Dr. Huang closely. Dr. Huang moved closer towards the table, quickly but carefully placing the camera on it. Before Dr. Huang could adjust it, Jaemin’s hands reached out and focused it on himself. A chair was pulled back in the meanwhile, and Dr. Huang seemed to sit down.

“Thank you, Jaemin. How are you today?”

“Better, now that you’re here.”

Dr. Huang seemed to choke on his spit - Jaemin’s neutral expression shortly showing a sign of worry, before it vanished when Dr. Huang coughed quickly. A silence washed over the researcher and non-human being - one in which Jaemin watched Dr. Huang attentively.

“May I ask why you insisted on me accompanying you for your meal?”

“You’re interesting. You’re not scared like everyone else here, and I like you. You’re kind.”

The sound of a pen scribbling on paper was heard - while Jaemin went quiet again. He looked at the camera, almost as if someone was watching him in that second. The pen Dr. Huang used was set down - while Jaemin turned his head back towards Dr. Huang. It was silent again.

“How do you know I don’t fear you?”

“I can feel what others feel if they’re close by. I… don’t know much about what human’s feel, but I’d say it’s what you describe as scared. They all feel uncomfortable and want to leave, and I know it’s directed towards my presence. Every single one feels uneasy and it makes me feel uneasy too. But you don’t. You always were at least feeling neutral, but now you… feel comfortable, I guess? Being around you is always pleasant.”

Dr. Huang picked the pen up again - the sound of pen writing on paper was heard again. Jaemin rested his head on the table - his eyes always fixed on Dr. Huang. The pen was set down and Dr. Huang cleared his throat - Jaemin sitting upright again. He seemed unusually antsy that day.

“I’m glad you feel that way with me present. How do you know about fear? Did you read about it?”

“I can’t read. Do you want me to read?”

“Eh? No, no. You don’t have to.”

Jaemin nodded while Dr. Huang seemed surprised. A silence washed over them again and Dr. Huang seemed to have forgotten about one of his initial questions, while Jaemin rested his head on the table again. He seemed to have a question, or something to say that bothered him.

“What do you like to eat?”

“Cupcakes.”

Dr. Huang chuckled at his own answer - probably because it’s not something he’d answer usually. Jaemin’s attention perked up at the answer - and he seemed interested. His eyes were still focused on Dr. Huang nonetheless.

“What do they taste like?”

“They’re sweet. They can taste a little like some fruits. I… don’t really know how to describe it. Maybe I’ll bring you one so you can taste it too.”

A silence washed over them again - and Jaemin seemed to think. Maybe he was trying to imagine the taste of a cupcake - or an image of it. He seemed deep in thoughts and a chair - probably Dr. Huang’s - was pushed back. Jaemin snapped out of his thoughts and sat up straight - watching Dr. Huang.

“You’re a cupcake. You’re sweet too.”

A cough was heard from Dr. Huang - but Jaemin didn’t seem bothered by it this time. The chair was pushed back towards the table, and the camera was picked up. Dr. Huang seemed to be ready to leave.

“Thank you, Jaemin. I’ll get going now.”

“Bye cupcake!”

Addendum 8130-05: On ██/██/████ SCP-8130 initiated physical contact with Researcher Dr. Huang. Dr. Huang didn’t seem to be paralyzed at all, even though the safety gear does not minimize the effect SCP-8130 has on humans upon being touched. SCP-8130 claims he only is indirectly at fault for the paralyzation, explaining that the paralyzation stems from the fear most humans have upon looking at him or touching him. Dr. Huang doesn’t show any effects from holding eye contact with SCP-8130 either.

“This is Researcher Doctor Renjun Huang, assigned researcher for SCP-8130. Today I’ll further accompany SCP-8130 in his room and watch his habits with myself present.”

Dr. Huang seemed to be in front of the last security door - which turned out as an accurate guess as Dr. Huang turned the camera to reveal a door. After opening it, the room Jaemin was in was revealed. Jaemin was seated on his bed, but quickly stood up after the door was opened and took place at the table.

Jaemin watched Dr. Huang as he stepped in and placed the camera on the table - which Jaemin immediately reached out to and fixed its position. Dr. Huang meanwhile sat down at the table, placing a sheet of paper and his pen on it. Silence washed over them.

“Thank you, Jaemin. How are you today?”

“I’m doing well, cupcake.”

Dr. Huang hummed and noted something on the paper - while Jaemin’s eyes were fixed on him again. At one point, Jaemin’s eyes were directed more towards the direction of the table, before he reached his hand out carefully. The pen was put on the table again, before Jaemin pulled Dr. Huang’s hand in the frame.

An alarm sound went off and red light turned on - which must’ve confused Jaemin, as he quickly let go of the hand. The hand was pulled out of the frame and the sound of a chair being pushed back was barely heard, through the noise by the alarm. After a few seconds Dr. Huang moved into the frame and went up to the security camera.

“I’m fine! Turn the alarm off!”

He was screaming at the camera - a few seconds later the alarm turned off and everything went back to normal. Dr. Huang sighed loudly before going up to Jaemin - standing in front of him. He held Jaemin’s chin - moving Jaemin’s head around a little before nodding to himself and disappearing from the frame.

“Seems like the alarm only startled you. I’m glad about that.”

Jaemin nodded - eyes fixed on Dr. Huang again. Jaemin didn’t seem to have any effect on Dr. Huang - as everything went back to normal quickly. Dr. Huang seemed to note something on his paper, while Jaemin just watched - seemingly not surprised at the lack of paralyzation Dr. Huang was showing.

“Could you explain to me why I wasn’t paralyzed?”

“I’m not directly at fault for the paralyzation. The fear people feel when they touch me or look me in the eyes paralyzes them. I’ve only been taking advantage of it, but if you don’t fear me, I can’t paralyze you. You weren’t scared of me in the first place, so my touch and my eye contact don’t scare you either.”

Dr. Huang scribbled on his paper again - and after the pen was set down Jaemin reached out for Dr. Huang’s hand again. He pulled it into the frame before looking at it - carefully placing his head on it after a few seconds. Something rustled before the screen quickly turned black, indicating that Dr. Huang turned the camera off.

Addendum 8130-06: On ██/██/████ SCP-8130 requested for Researcher Dr. Huang to spend a day with him. Dr. Huang accepted the request and barely left the containment chamber SCP-8130 is inside of. SCP-8130 seemed uncharacteristically cheery and happy about the company provided by Dr. Huang. He didn’t initiate a lot of conversations and rather observed Dr. Huang. When Dr. Huang happened to fall asleep, SCP-8130 continued to observe Dr. Huang, not touching him at all and keeping the safety distance other personnel have to keep from him.

“This is Researcher Doctor Renjun Huang, assigned researcher for SCP-8130. SCP-8130 has requested to spend a day with me, so I will be documenting it.”

Dr. Huang smiled at the camera before the screen turned black - turning back on during Dr. Huang’s way to the table. The camera was set on the table, but unlike the other times, it faced Dr. Huang instead of Jaemin. Yet, Jaemin must’ve been settling at the table, as a chair was pulled back.

“It is currently 8AM, and I will be staying until 8AM the next morning. I decided that a 24 hour timespan would be fitting, as it is not clear what SCP-8130, otherwise known as Jaemin, considers a day.”

The camera was turned from Dr. Huang towards Jaemin - who seemed slightly confused. His eyes focused on Dr. Huang shortly after - as usual. A silence washed over them, which didn’t seem awkward at all.

“Hello Jaemin. How are you today?”

“I’m happy.”

Dr. Huang chuckled quietly before a pen scribbling on paper was heard. Jaemin continued observing Dr. Huang, not bothered by Dr. Huang’s attention diverted from him. He seemed to not have known of the plan for the day, thus seemed unusually cheery and happy.

“I hope you won’t mind if I work while I’m here. I have other SCP’s that I research, and I have to get a little bit of work to get done for them too.”

“I’m not bothered. I’m just glad you’re here, cupcake.”

Jaemin rested his head on his hands - eyes fixated on Dr. Huang. Dr. Huang simply chuckled and seemed to get some things out of a bag - presumably starting to work. Jaemin continuously watched him, not asking any questions or interrupting the work. The screen turned black a few times, and each time a new clip of Jaemin observing Dr. Huang from different angles was seen.

The screen turned black once again, turning back on to a slightly unfamiliar view. Dr. Huang’s head was resting on the table - he seemed to have fallen asleep, while Jaemin still observed him. After a while Jaemin got up - kneeling in front of Dr. Huang while curiously watching him closely.

“So this is what human’s call sleep… you must’ve fallen asleep.”

Jaemin stood up straight once again - carefully picking Dr. Huang up from the chair before carrying him to the bed Jaemin has in his room. Jaemin tucked Dr. Huang in, observing him quietly for a few more minutes. After a while, Jaemin moved away from the bed and took a chair, quietly moving it.

“Sleep well, cupcake.”

The chair seemed to be placed away from Dr. Huang - as the Addendum indicated, it was the distance the other personnel had to keep from Jaemin. Jaemin moved towards the camera and turned it off - screen going black. Shortly after, the screen showed Dr. Huang seated at the table in Jaemin’s room.

“It is.. 7:30AM and I have half an hour left with SCP-8130, otherwise known as Jaemin. I accidentally fell asleep while being here, but Jaemin didn’t attempt to hurt me in any way. I was quite surprised to see Jaemin watch me when I woke up, actually. He must’ve moved me into his bed as well, so I wouldn’t say he’s a threat if you’re not scared.”

Addendum 8130-07: On ██/██/████ SCP-8130 first requested to have an activity with Researcher Dr. Huang. Dr. Huang decided on teaching SCP-8130 UNO, which SCP-8130 quickly understood. Despite the quick understanding of the game, SCP-8130 seemed to lose against Dr. Huang on purpose.

“This is Researcher Doctor Renjun Huang, assigned researcher for SCP-8130. Today I’ll be visiting him inside of his containment chamber and, due to his request, teach him UNO.”

There was a quiet rustle before Dr. Huang waved the packaging of UNO in the camera, chuckling slightly before opening the door towards Jaemin’s containment chamber.

Jaemin reacted quicker than usual, quickly getting up from his bed and rushing to the table. He sat down quickly before attentively watching Dr. Huang settle the camera, as well as sitting down. This time, the camera was focused on both of them.

“This,” Dr. Huang put the UNO package on the table “is a game humans play. Are you familiar with the definition of games?”

Dr. Huang smiled wide when Jaemin nodded - who stilled for a few seconds after that. Dr. Huang got the card deck out, showing each card and number to Jaemin, while simultaneously explaining the game.

“Do you get the rules?”

Jaemin nodded once again. He watched Dr. Huang as he mixed the cards, as well as distributed them. Surprisingly, he quickly managed to mirror Dr. Huang’s way of holding the cards - unlike any children learning the game.

“Who should start, Jaemin?”

“You.”

Dr. Huang hummed as he put his first card down, which was quickly followed by Jaemin. The first round didn’t take long, and not once did Dr. Huang intervene. Jaemin won the round as well, but quickly seemed unsatisfied with winning.

“Another round?”

Jaemin nodded. Dr Huang hummed, mixing and distributing the cards just like before. They started the round quickly, except for Dr. Huang winning that time. Dr. Huang cheered slightly - and this time, Jaemin seemed satisfied.

They played a few more rounds, each ending up with Dr. Huang winning and Jaemin losing. Both Dr. Huang and Jaemin seemed happy after Dr. Huang - and it was only fair to assume that Jaemin preferred it when Dr. Huang won, instead of him - and that Jaemin was manipulating the game to Dr. Huang’s advantage as well.

“Tell me, Jaemin… did you lose on purpose? I know that you can win it.”

“I did.”

Jaemin seemed nonchalant about being found out - while Dr. Huang seemed surprised that Jaemin admitted to it. There was a short silence before Dr. Huang gathered the card deck, packing it up again.

“Why did you lose on purpose?”

“I like it better when you win.”

Dr. Huang seemed a little flustered, but quickly brushed it away and looked serious once again. Jaemin kept quiet, but continued observing Dr. Huang before the camera was shut off.

Addendum 8130-08: On ██/██/████ Researcher Dr. Huang entered SCP-8130’s containment chamber without safety gear for the first time. SCP-8130 kept a bigger distance to Dr. Huang than usual, but still observed him carefully. SCP-8130 did not attempt any attack on Dr. Huang, despite the lack of safety gear.

“This is Researcher Doctor Renjun Huang, assigned researcher for SCP-8130. After my previous encounters with SCP-8130, I decided to enter his containment chamber without any safety gear. I’ll watch his reaction to me without the safety gear, as well as my reaction to him.”

Dr. Huang smiled - picking the camera up. This time, the entire way from Dr. Huang’s office towards Jaemin’s containment chamber was shown - which was unusual. After a while the last security door was opened - revealing the containment chamber Jaemin was in.

Jaemin immediately stood up upon Dr. Huang’s arrival - seemingly shocked at Dr. Huang’s lack of safety gear. He stared at Dr. Huang, and carefully walked backwards when Dr. Huang settled at the table.

The camera was focused on Jaemin, who seemed curious but overly cautious - set on creating a distance between Dr. Huang and himself, a distance he usually rarely brought between them. It was unusual to see Jaemin like this - far away and cautious.

“Hello Jaemin. How are you today?”

Jaemin ignored the question. He kept staring, almost concerned, before he opened his mouth to speak.

“Where’s your safety gear?”

“I decided to not put it on. You haven’t been a danger to me the whole time, and after all this time I don’t think you’re dangerous to me - not dangerous enough to need safety gear everytime I come in.”

Dr. Huang’s voice was gentle - as if he explained it to a little, curious kid. Jaemin nodded slowly before he came a bit closer - quickly taking the chair before creating a distance between Dr. Huang and him again.

“Does it make you uncomfortable? Should I come back with my safety gear?”

Jaemin shook his head as he sat down. Yet, he seemed awkward and cautious still - but curious. Jaemin did not once dare to look away.

“I’m scared I’ll harm you without it.”

“We can’t know if we don’t try, Jaemin.”

Dr. Huang chuckled quietly, probably looking at Jaemin as they were talking. Jaemin nodded, though he did it carefully, as if he wasn’t sure whether it was a good idea. But he seemed to trust Dr. Huang - and Dr. Huang seemed to be aware of it.

“Is it very unfamiliar for you to see me like this?”

Jaemin nodded again.

“But you’re… much prettier than I thought.”

Addendum 8130-09: On ██/██/████ SCP-8130 seemed to grow more comfortable with the lack of safety gear once Researcher Dr. Huang stepped inside. SCP-8130 initiated physical contact several times, even though hesitant the first few times.

“This is Researcher Doctor Renjun Huang, assigned researcher for SCP-8130. Today I’ll be entering SCP-8130’s containment chamber without safety gear once again, and see whether he grows more comfortable with the lack of safety gear or not.”

Dr. Huang was right in front of a security door already, opening it and going through it. Jaemin immediately stood up upon seeing Dr. Huang, and sat down at the table. Dr. Huang did so as well, placing the camera in front of Jaemin.

“Hello Jaemin. How are you today?”

“I’m doing well, cupcake.”

Jaemin reached out towards the camera, adjusting it again so it’d record both Dr. Huang and him. Dr. Huang looked at the camera and chuckled, before facing Jaemin again.

“Is there anything you’d like to do today?”

Dr. Huang smiled at Jaemin - and Jaemin seemed as if he was about to nod, but held back. He observed Dr. Huang quietly, before slowly reaching out. He seemed a little hesitant when his hand was in front of Dr. Huang’s face, but touched Dr. Huang’s lips nonetheless.

Jaemin seemed focused on Dr. Huang’s lips, brushing over them ever so gently, while Dr. Huang was flustered - blushing slightly, but not backing away. After a while Jaemin carefully retracted his hands, looking Dr. Huang in the eyes.

“Your… mouth. It’s… pleasant.”

“Pleasant?”

Dr. Huang cleared his throat and tilted his head a little - while Jaemin nodded. He seemed to scramble for more explanation, clearly thinking deeply before facing Dr. Huang again.

“I always saw it before… and you’re always… gentle? And nice.”

Jaemin seemed a little awkward - but Dr. Huang just hummed. He seemed to understand what Jaemin meant and let it go - while Jaemin continuously observed Dr. Huang quietly.

Dr. Huang held out his hands - Jaemin glanced at them before he glanced at Dr. Huang’s eyes, carefully taking them into his. Jaemin let go of Dr. Huang’s left hand, holding onto Dr. Huang’s right hand with both of his while looking at it curiously.

“Yours… are smaller than mine.”

“They are.”

Jaemin looked at Dr. Huang and nodded - letting Dr. Huang’s hand go before reaching out for Dr. Huang’s hair. Jaemin gently patted Dr. Huang’s head, making Dr. Huang chuckle quietly. Jaemin put his hands down again.

“Your hair is soft.”

“Thank you.”

Dr. Huang looked at Jaemin - slightly surprised when Jaemin got up from his chair and moved in front of Dr. Huang - yet in a way to not block the camera’s view.

Jaemin cupped Dr. Huang’s cheeks - before letting them go again and brushing Dr. Huang’s hair out of his face. He leaned in closely before standing upright again - leaving Dr. Huang slightly flustered.

“Your eyes are pretty.”

Dr. Huang watched as Jaemin kneeled on the floor - reaching out for Jaemin’s face. He was gentle, his hands cupped Jaemin’s cheeks and Jaemin leaned into Dr. Huang’s touch.

“You don’t have to sit on the floor.”

Jaemin didn’t move away - so Dr. Huang stood up, shoved the chair away and sat down in front of Jaemin. There was a surprised look on his face - shortly after followed by a monotone yet again.

Dr. Huang watched Jaemin - who reached out for Dr. Huang’s hands to place them on his face yet again - which made Dr. Huang cup Jaemin’s cheeks once again.

Jaemin leaned into Dr. Huang’s hands - while Dr. Huang gently caressed Jaemin’s cheeks. There was silence, but both of them didn’t seem bothered by it, rather basking in it.

“I like this…”

Dr. Huang hummed and smiled slightly, while Jaemin sat up straight once again. Jaemin took Dr. Huang’s hands in his, looking at them again. Dr. Huang watched quietly, not moving even a little.

“Am I not hurting you?”

“You aren’t, don’t worry.”

A weird noise started coming from Jaemin - but Jaemin seemed content, and it didn’t sound harmful - kind of like a purr, but very distorted. Dr. Huang didn’t seem bothered - though he did seem a little surprised. Dr. Huang carefully cupped Jaemin’s cheeks - before slowly getting up.

“I’ll have to go now, Jaemin.”

Jaemin seemed a little disappointed, but nodded nonetheless. Dr. Huang on the other hand went up to the camera and turned it off, screen turning to black.

Addendum 8130-10: On ██/██/████ SCP-8130 first got introduced to several human products, such as a brush. After seeking out physical contact with Researcher Dr. Huang several times the days before, Dr. Huang first brought a brush with him. SCP-8130 seemed to recognize what it was, but didn’t know how to use it.

“This is Researcher Doctor Renjun Huang, assigned researcher for SCP-8130. Today I will be introducing some human products to Jaemin and see how he reacts to it.”

The screen quickly turned black before rustling was heard, shortly after showing the image of Jaemin at the table. Something was set down on the table, which Jaemin curiously looked at before a chair was dragged closer, presumably because Dr. Huang sat down.

“First off, I brought you a cupcake. It's chocolate flavored. Do you want to try it?”

Jaemin nodded before Dr. Huang shoved the cupcake towards Jaemin - quickly pulling his hands away again. There was the sound of paper, some papers Dr. Huang probably organized, while Jaemin looked at the cupcake.

“Oh, I forgot to remove the wrap! Wait a second.”

Jaemin gave the cupcake back to Dr. Huang who removed the wrap around the cupcake, before giving it back to Jaemin - who cautiously bit into the cupcake. His expression remained neutral - he seemed to neither like nor dislike it very much, but he ate the entire cupcake.

“This… is sweet, right?”

“It’s sweet, yes. Now that the cupcake is gone, how are you today Jaemin?”

“I’m great, cupcake.”

Dr. Huang chuckled while Jaemin kept observing Dr. Huang - who now was adjusting the camera once again. The camera was turned towards him - showing some products on the table, such as a brush and a wet towel. The camera turned back around and showed Jaemin again, then Dr. Huang who entered the frame.

“Do you know what this is?”

Jaemin looked at Dr. Huang, then at the brush he was being shown by Dr. Huang. He nodded slowly - watching as Dr. Huang quickly noted something, before standing up straight again. He gave Jaemin the brush, who investigated it for a few seconds before giving it back.

“Do you know what to do with it?”

“No.”

“Should I show you what to do with it?”

Dr. Huang smiled gently when Jaemin nodded and carefully started brushing through Jaemin’s hair. Jaemin at first didn’t react to it, but slowly began making the weird noise again - something which by now sounded like something between a purr and a growl, but in an unnatural tone.

After Jaemin’s hair was brushed through, Dr. Huang set the brush on the table. He took the wet towel in his hand - looking at Jaemin. His expression was monotone yet again, but he kept observing Dr. Huang with the towel.

“I’m sure if you recognized a brush, you will recognize this too. I put water on the towel and wanted to clean your face to get rid of the blood, is that okay with you?”

Jaemin nodded and Dr. Huang leaned in - carefully wiping the blood out of Jaemin’s face, who simply let everything happen. The towel was drenched - probably so Dr. Huang could ensure it would really clean the blood off, but due to that the water was dripping onto Jaemin - wetting his T-Shirt, which Dr. Huang realized after he finished cleaning Jaemin’s face.

“Oh… what’s this?”

Dr. Huang carefully reached out and put his hand on one of the black lines that were now shining through the partly wet fabric. The black lines were mentioned in the document, yet Dr. Huang seemed to only have seen them now. It got silent as Dr. Huang put the towel down on the table, looking at the lines again.

Jaemin got up - much to Dr. Huang’s surprise. Jaemin quickly took the shirt off, looking at Dr. Huang - who seemed even more surprised. The black lines were on Jaemin’s upper body - probably also going down to his legs. They were perfectly covered by the T-Shirt Jaemin wore, but most likely also by the pants.

“Do you know what this is?”

Dr. Huang gently touched the black lines on Jaemin’s body - which Jaemin looked at before nodding. Dr. Huang removed his hand from Jaemin’s skin before looking back at Jaemin, who seemingly waited for Dr. Huang to finish investigating Jaemin’s lines.

“They’re.. part of my skin. They go back and get less when… a mate is found.”

Jaemin looked into Dr. Huang’s eyes - who smiled at Jaemin before looking back at the lines, nodding quietly. Dr. Huang seemed to think before quickly noting something down and then turning back to Jaemin.

“That’s interesting.”

Dr. Huang smiled at Jaemin - who put his shirt back on and sat back down. Dr. Huang turned towards the camera - and a quiet rustling was heard before the screen turned black.

Addendum 8130-11: On ██/██/████ SCP-8130 expressed his wish to get his hair brushed by Researcher Dr. Huang regularly. SCP-8130 also started cleaning his face from blood on his own regularly.

“This is Researcher Doctor Renjun Huang, assigned researcher for SCP-8130. Today I’ll be going back in with a brush and a wet towel, as SCP-8130 requested to have his hair brushed and cleans his face on his own now.”

Dr. Huang was smiling into the camera before rustling was heard and a security door was opened. Dr. Huang turned the camera and showed the familiar containment chamber Jaemin was in, quickly walking up to the table and placing everything down. Jaemin went up to the table and sat down, helping Dr. Huang with adjusting the camera before reaching for the wet towel.

He started cleaning his face from the blood, while Dr. Huang chuckled and seemed to go along with Jaemin, moving into the frame and brushing through Jaemin’s hair carefully. Jaemin let out the purr-like sound again before putting the towel down and sitting still. Dr. Huang stopped brushing Jaemin’s hair after a while - moving in front of him and looking at him.

“How are you today, Jaemin?”

“I’m doing well, cupcake.”

Dr. Huang hummed quietly before he lifted Jaemin’s chin, carefully opening his mouth and examining it. Jaemin didn’t resist any of the movements Dr. Huang made him do, simply going along with everything Dr. Huang did.

Jaemin was further examined until Dr. Huang let go of Jaemin, smiling softly.

Eventually, Dr. Huang sat down again and judging by the sound of a pen on paper, he was noting down whatever he found out while examining Jaemin. Jaemin slowly readjusted the camera - turning it towards Dr. Huang, who looked at the camera upon noticing it got readjusted.

A chair was pushed back and footsteps were heard - until Jaemin appeared in the frame once again. Dr. Huang dropped the pen and turned towards Jaemin, who now leaned down. Jaemin carefully took one of Dr. Huang’s hands - and this time, he was the one examining Dr. Huang.

Dr. Huang didn’t budge even a bit, probably only feeling that it was fair for Jaemin to do the same, yet he seemed a little nervous when Jaemin’s face got closer to his. Jaemin directly looked into the eyes of Dr. Huang, reaching his hand out to hold Dr. Huang’s cheek gently. Dr. Huang seemed to have subconsciously leaned into Jaemin’s hand - while also having his cheeks decorated by a light blush.

Jaemin gently leaned his forehead against Dr. Huang’s - staying like that for a few seconds before standing up straight again. Jaemin’s hand let go of Dr. Huang’s cheek - and Dr. Huang stood up, looking into Jaemin’s eyes before turning towards his paper again. By the time Dr. Huang was facing Jaemin again, his cheeks were covered in a light pink shade.

“Jaemin, are there more beings like you out there?”

While Dr. Huang probably tried to change the topic - he did seem highly interested in an answer to that question. Jaemin seemed a bit surprised but nodded nonetheless, looking right at Dr. Huang.

“They’re more adjusted towards human life. They… don’t stand out as much as I do, they’re not as tall as I am. They don’t cherish any interactions with humans either, though. More focused on eating them.”

Dr. Huang nodded and noted something down again, while Jaemin shifted. He looked at Dr. Huang more closely - who didn’t move at all, looking into Jaemin’s eyes like usual. Jaemin seemed puzzled, taking Renjun’s hand into his, looking at it. He looked back at Dr. Huang, gently cupping Dr. Huang’s chin for a few seconds before letting go of Dr. Huang altogether, dropping his hands.

“Why aren’t you scared? I’m so much taller and stronger than you.”

“I know that you wouldn’t harm me.”

Jaemin leaned down when Dr. Huang stretched his arm out - his hand gently holding Jaemin’s face, caressing it while he was looking at Jaemin. Jaemin let out a weird sound once again, but Dr. Huang didn’t budge and simply continued. Jaemin looked at Dr. Huang, and as if something shifted his expression became somewhat softer.

“You’re right. I wouldn’t.”

Addendum 8130-12: On ██/██/████ SCP-8130 wished to know Researcher Dr. Huang’s full name after hearing another researcher use Dr. Huang’s first name. SCP-8130 was uncharacteristically cheerful after finding out his full name and started referring to Dr. Huang by his first name.

“This is Researcher Doctor Renjun Huang, assigned researcher for SCP-8130. Today I will be examining SCP-8130, to determine whether he possibly needs medical attention and to further investigate the black lines on his body.”

Dr. Huang smiled into the camera before the screen turned black - turning back on in the familiar containment chamber. This time it was placed further away from the table, probably to fully record Jaemin while he was being examined. While Dr. Huang seemed to prepare things for the examination, Jaemin got rid of most of his clothes - standing around almost awkwardly.

Jaemin kept his eyes on Dr. Huang at all times, as long as he had the ability to do so. Dr. Huang seemed slightly flushed with time passing and Jaemin’s shameless staring not stopping, but wasn’t otherwise bothered - he noted a few things down from time to time, though it was not easy to tell what he noted down, as it wasn’t entirely clear what exactly he examined when.

“The lines have gone back a little. Does it hurt?”

“It doesn’t. It feels nice.”

Dr. Huang hummed and noted something else down before getting Jaemin’s clothes and handing them to him. Just as Jaemin finished dressing himself, a door was opened rather loudly - but Jaemin didn’t seem impressed, almost as if he heard the person from further away.

“Renjun, could you give me the documents about the SCP you took over while I was away?”

“Does it have to be now?”

Jaemin seemed puzzled while Dr. Huang raised his eyebrows - stopping to do so when the person stepped into the frame. The person shook their head and looked at Jaemin for a split second before looking at the documents - seemingly starting to read through them before Dr. Huang smacked their arm.

“Don’t read through my documents, brat!”

“Chenle Zhong! You’re not supposed to step into SCP-8130’s chamber without safety gear just because Renjun does so!”

All three of them turned towards a corner in the chamber - one that presumably had a speaker, as the voice didn’t sound like it was coming from anywhere inside of the room, but rather through a speaker. Jaemin seemed even more puzzled than before, while Dr. Huang just snorted.

“Why not, booboobear? Besides, Jaemin and I are like, best friends!”

Dr. Huang’s nose scrunched up after hearing the petname - looking slightly disgusted. Jaemin on the other hand stared at Dr. Zhong - who had his arm draped around Jaemin’s torso and waved into the CCTV. Jaemin seemed beyond confused - which Dr. Huang must’ve noticed, as he quickly rushed towards Jaemin and Dr. Zhong and forced some distance between them.

“Idiot! I won’t rescue you if you die in there!”

“Oh you totally will Haechan!”

Dr. Zhong stuck his tongue out - while Dr. Huang shook his head furiously. Jaemin seemed even more uncomfortable and confused than before, not being able to figure out what was going on as of now. Dr. Huang sighed before he looked at the CCTV.

“Please have your couple fights somewhere other than Jaemin’s containment chamber, and please not while I’m working. I’ll give you the documents when I’m done here, Chenle. And Haechan, just because you overlook this department, doesn’t mean you should butt in like this!”

A scoff was heard from the voice that presumably belonged to Haechan - just before it sounded like the speaker was turned off. Dr. Zhong turned towards Dr. Huang and hugged him shortly before leaving the frame and the room again. Jaemin now stared at Dr. Huang, his brain probably filled with questions.

“Don’t mind them. They’re boyfriends and they bicker all the time, and also sort of my best friends. I hope you’re not too confused?”

“It’s fine. Why did you… react to Renjun though?”

Jaemin seemed interested while Dr. Huang’s eyes widened a little for a split second - before they softened again. Dr. Huang smiled gently, while Jaemin kept eye contact with him - the interest being so evident it seemed like he was about to explode from curiosity.

“It’s my name. Renjun Huang, that’s my full name.”

“Renjun…”

Dr. Huang kept smiling gently - while Jaemin seemed to internalize the name. He whispered it a few times before he went silent again - and Dr. Huang went to the table to note something down. Jaemin followed quietly - seemingly waiting for Dr. Huang to finish writing whatever he was writing, looking at Dr. Huang when he turned around.

Jaemin was hesitant as he stepped closer - but he quickly wrapped his arms around Dr. Huang - just like Dr. Zhong did before, which Jaemin seemed to imitate. Dr. Huang let out a surprised noise before he chuckled quietly - wrapping his arms around Jaemin as well, visibly relaxing in Jaemin’s hold.

“Renjun… I like that name.”

“Thank you.”

Addendum 8130-13: On ██/██/████ SCP-8130 resorted back to his behavior before he started trusting Researcher Dr. Huang. Upon seeing Researcher Dr. Zhong enter the room, he started bending walls. It took a while for SCP-8130 to calm down, becoming tame again when Dr. Zhong explained that Researcher Dr. Huang had fallen sick. SCP-8130 hesitated in answering Dr. Zhong’s questions and seemed to keep the highest distance possible from him.

“This is Researcher Doctor Chenle Zhong, filling in for Researcher Doctor Huang, assigned researcher for SCP-8130. Dr. Huang has unexpectedly fallen sick, so I’ll be going in SCP-8130’s containment chamber to check on him instead of Dr. Huang.”

The camera was moved a little before rustling was heard and the screen turned black - turning back on inside of Jaemin’s containment chamber. Jaemin turned towards the camera - immediately taking a few steps back, staring at Dr. Zhong. He didn’t seem comfortable at all, rather somewhat angry.

“Hello Jaemin. How are you today?”

Dr. Zhong moved into the frame - while Jaemin refused to answer the question, emitting a loud and shrill noise. Dr. Zhong covered his ears, waiting for it to be over - asking the same question again. Jaemin ignored Dr. Zhong once again, moving along the walls - completely unlike him in any of the other videos.

There was another loud noise - this time it wasn’t from Jaemin’s vocal cords, but rather from Jaemin bending part of the walls - breaking them open. Dr. Zhong seemed slightly uneasy now - not entirely knowing what to do.

“Renjun’s fallen sick. He can’t come today, and maybe for the next few days as well, because he’s not feeling well.”

Jaemin stilled - calming down a little before turning towards Dr. Zhong. There was a silence, and a hint of worry was written all over Jaemin’s face - yet he kept quiet. He nodded hesitantly, while Dr. Zhong exhaled almost shakily.

“Will he be alright?”

“Yes.”

Dr. Zhong watched Jaemin as he nodded - sliding down the wall and sitting down. He didn’t want to get any closer to Dr. Zhong - but it wasn’t bad, as Dr. Zhong seemed to be unbothered by it. He tried asking a few more questions - none of them being answered by Jaemin, before Dr. Zhong finally sighed.

“You really like Renjun, no? There’s a huge difference in your actions when he’s here and when he’s not.”

Jaemin nodded slightly, looking away afterwards. Dr. Zhong sighed and picked up the camera - turning it off and making the screen turn black.

Addendum 8130-14: On ██/██/████ SCP-8130 was uncharacteristically chatty upon seeing Researcher Dr. Huang again. SCP-8130 once again initiated physical contact with Dr. Huang, and actively seemed to look out for any injuries. SCP-8130 claimed to have felt empty and lonely without Dr. Huang present.

“This is Researcher Doctor Renjun Huang, assigned researcher for SCP-8130. Today I will be joining SCP-8130 in his containment chamber and document his behavior upon my return.”

Dr. Huang smiled into the camera before he picked it up and the screen turned black. The camera turned back on inside of the containment chamber - in which Jaemin was sitting, unusually demotivated. Dr. Huang carefully placed the camera on the table before he went up to Jaemin - who didn’t budge even a bit.

“Not feeling too well today, Jaemin?”

Jaemin’s head turned towards Dr. Huang - and he looked almost surprised, before he stood up and hugged Dr. Huang tightly. Dr. Huang started to giggle quietly - while Jaemin let him go again, taking parts of Dr. Huang’s body in his hands and closely investigating them. Dr. Huang didn’t turn away from Jaemin - watching Jaemin as he looked at him closely.

“You’re not injured, Renjun?”

Dr. Huang shook his head before Jaemin hugged him again - Dr. Huang practically sinking into Jaemin’s arms. There was a moment of silence - in which both of them were basking, like long lost lovers finally holding each other again - before Jaemin let go again. Dr. Huang let out a quiet chuckle when Jaemin investigated his body again - this time stopping at Dr. Huang’s hand.

“Is that a bruise?”

“It’s my birthmark.”

Jaemin looked Dr. Huang in the eyes before nodding, letting go of Dr. Huang’s hand and sitting back down. Dr. Huang smiled at him gently, before checking on Jaemin as well. Jaemin was quiet as Dr. Huang looked at him thoroughly, presumably to make sure he didn’t injure himself while going crazy.

“What are you looking for?”

“Nothing. I’m making sure you didn’t injure yourself, Jaemin. Dr. Zhong couldn’t check on you after all, you didn’t let him after going crazy.”

Dr. Huang smiled gently at Jaemin again before letting go of him - Jaemin looking into Dr. Huang’s eyes while nodding slowly. There was once again a short silence, before Jaemin’s arms wrapped around Dr. Huang’s waist and he got pulled onto Jaemin’s lap. While Dr. Huang seemed surprised, Jaemin just hugged him tightly.

“I felt empty and lonely without you.”

Jaemin’s head was resting on Dr. Huang’s shoulder, while Dr. Huang seemed slightly surprised. He gently stroked Jaemin’s hair, Jaemin hugging Dr. Huang even harder than before, though Dr. Huang didn’t seem bothered at all.

“I’m sorry you felt that way. Do you know why?”

Dr. Huang leaned back a little to look at Jaemin - who looked at him as well after Dr. Huang moved. Jaemin shook his head slowly - almost unsure. Dr. Huang sighed quietly before cupping Jaemin’s cheeks - caressing them slightly, while Jaemin leaned into the touch.

“I can’t explain why… I don’t know how to explain it.”

“That’s okay, Jaemin. You don’t have to.”

Jaemin nodded slightly - now melting into Dr. Huang’s gentle touch. There’s been a comfortable silence, nothing but their quiet breathing. Dr. Huang’s other hand started going through Jaemin’s hair - and Jaemin once again let out the strange sound akin to a purr. The sound stopped after a while - and in response Dr. Huang stopped touching his hair. Jaemin now sat up straight, looking into Dr. Huang’s eyes.

Jaemin seemed completely unbothered by revealing it to Dr. Huang - while Dr. Huang’s cheeks started to turn bright pink. He looked away for a little, while Jaemin touched Dr. Huang’s cheeks carefully. Dr. Huang turned to look at him - his ears turning pink too, before the screen suddenly turned black.

Addendum 8130-15: On ██/██/████ SCP-8130 first expressed longing for Researcher Dr. Huang’s presence. SCP-8130 agreed on having an established schedule where Dr. Huang would spend time with only him for an hour or two, and requested for things that could help him keep track of when Dr. Huang would visit next.

“This is Researcher Doctor Renjun Huang, assigned researcher for SCP-8130. Today I’ll be accompanying SCP-8130 once again.”

The screen immediately turned black - immediately cutting to Jaemin’s containment chamber. Jaemin was sitting on the chair - looking at Dr. Huang as if he’d been awaiting him. He looked weirdly serious, but quickly helped with setting the camera up on the table.

“Hello Jaemin, how are you?”

“I have a question.”

Dr. Huang seemed a little surprised, before smiling slightly and urging Jaemin to go on. Jaemin took a while, seemingly gathering his thoughts and trying to compress it into comprehensible sentences, while Dr. Huang waited patiently - the smile never leaving his face.

“I want to see you for a longer time. Daily… and I want to know when you’ll come. Not knowing when I’ll see you next makes me antsy, when I just want to be near you all the time.”

Jaemin’s expressions didn’t change at all - while Dr. Huang blushed slightly before letting out a quiet chuckle. It wasn’t easy to tell whether he was nervous or if he found it funny - this time, he wasn’t flustered by Jaemin at all - but Jaemin didn’t seem to care about the lack of blush on Dr. Huang’s cheeks at all.

“I don’t know how well versed you are with hours, but I guess I can manage sparing one or two hours for you fully. I’ll bring a clock next time and teach you how to read it, so you can know when I’ll be there next. But don’t be too upset when I’m late, I don’t know from where in the building I’ll have come to visit you.”

“I understand. Your legs are short, you can’t be that fast.”

Dr. Huang pouted a little - before sighing and nodding in defeat. He quickly inhaled, holding his finger up - looking at Jaemin seriously, as if he had something to say in his defense. Jaemin kept his eyes trained on Dr. Huang’s, urging him to go on - something Dr. Huang seemed to understand without any issue.

“You also can do much more than any other human being can do. You’re way faster than me.”

Jaemin simply nodded - taking Dr. Huang’s answer as a given fact, accepting it without any complaints. He took Dr. Huang’s finger, before he went on to hold his entire hand. Jaemin’s hand was much larger than Dr. Huang’s - a given, displaying their entire overall height difference very well.

“Do you have any relatives? Siblings, maybe?”

“I have a younger brother. Jisung.”

Dr. Huang seemed somewhat surprised by the answer - quickly noting it down with his free hand, not pulling away from Jaemin’s hand at all. He looked back at Jaemin, who didn’t move - eyes always focused on Dr. Huang’s face, never leaving it out of his sight.

“Do you miss him?”

“A little. I wonder how he’s doing, he’s not that adjusted to human life yet. And he’s taller, I wonder if he sticks out more. But he’ll be fine, I hope. He should be. Maybe I can find him, one day.”

Jaemin’s gaze softened a little at the mention of Jisung - and Dr. Huang immediately noted something down again. He looked back up at Jaemin - a question seeming to wait to be asked by him, but it seemed to be stuck in Dr. Huang’s throat.

“Why aren’t you searching for him already? Don’t you want to?”

“I want to find him with you. When I’m out of here, with you, I’ll search for him. I want him to meet you, Renjun.”

Dr. Huang seemed a little flustered yet puzzled, escaping Jaemin’s never fading stare by turning his face away. Jaemin wasn’t bothered at all - rather kept watching Dr. Huang, before slowly reaching towards Renjun’s cheek, caressing it carefully. Dr. Huang’s head turned back towards Jaemin - both of them looking at each other.

“Why with me?”

“I don’t know what to do without you anymore. You’re… everything. You’re important, you’re my cupcake and my stars.”

Jaemin tilted his head a little - while Dr. Huang blushed a little. It was easy to tell that Jaemin wasn’t sure how to express himself properly - choosing things Dr. Huang liked to compare him to, and Dr. Huang seemed to be aware of it. It was easy to tell when there was a glimpse of pain visible in his eyes, not even a camera being able to hide it.

Addendum 8130-16: On ██/██/████ SCP-8130 asked about human emotions for the first time. During the first scheduled appointment with Researcher Dr. Huang SCP-8130 quickly asked about love. After getting an answer from Dr. Huang, he cooperated to answer how he found out about love. Upon being asked SCP-8130 revealed that he could mind-read, and noticed the word love had been in Dr. Huang’s thoughts for quite a while, causing his curiosity.

“This is Researcher Doctor Renjun Huang, assigned researcher for SCP-8130. Today is my first scheduled appointment with SCP-8130, and… I’ll try to see what happens now.”

Dr. Huang chuckled shyly before the camera was turned off, turning back on in Jaemin’s containment chamber. The camera was already set up correctly and Jaemin sat at the table, seeming like something was just waiting to be said by him - which wasn’t entirely unexpected.

“Hello Jaemin, how are you today?”

“I’m good. Doing well, but I have a question. What is love?”

Jaemin’s eyes were fixed on Dr. Huang - while Dr. Huang choked on his spit. He coughed shortly before recovering - inhaling deeply before looking back at Jaemin. His expression didn’t change one bit, staying as monotone as it could possibly be. Dr. Huang sighed quietly, noting something down before he looked back at Jaemin.

“Love is a human emotion. Something you can feel… internally. Not the feeling of cloth or wood on your fingers, but something you feel inside of your body.”

Dr. Huang seemed to wince at his own explanation - as if he hoped for something more philosophical or better explained and ended up with the explanation he gave. Jaemin seemed to process what he was told - nodding slightly after a while. It was silent, both of them just looking at each other before Jaemin spoke up again.

“I want to learn more about love… and emotions. Could you teach me?”

“I need a little bit more preparation for that. I’ll… teach you tomorrow. How did you even get to asking about love?”

Jaemin stared at Dr. Huang as if the answer was obvious - both of them creating an awkward silence, and while Jaemin didn’t seem bothered by the atmosphere he created, Dr. Huang seemed to wither in it like a flower. He was making himself a little smaller while he kept looking at Jaemin, almost begging for an answer with only his eyes.

“It's been on your mind a lot recently. You’ve been thinking so much about it, I’ve been wondering.”

“How- how do you know what I’ve been thinking about?”

Dr. Huang blushed - this time more than usual, almost rivaling a ripe tomato with how red he turned. Jaemin definitely didn’t lie about it - Dr. Huang seemed as if he’d been exposed, pretty much embarrassed to find out that Jaemin knew about it all along. Jaemin tilted his head, his eyes fixed on Dr. Huang who seemingly kept withering like a little flower, this time from embarrassment.

“I can read your mind. Humans can’t do that? No wonder you’ve been thinking so much weird stuff. I have no clue what those damn taxes you’re always thinking about are.”

Jaemin was unfazed when Dr. Huang groaned and hit his head on the table - his ears slowly turning into a bright red as well. Jaemin further tilted his head - before reaching out to go through Dr. Huang’s hair. Dr. Huang didn’t move - not even a little - further resembling a withered flower.

“I want to understand you. I feel what you feel, but I want to sort it in the way you do.”

Addendum 8130-17: On ██/██/████ SCP-8130 requested to learn more about human emotions. After a while of being taught a lot of human emotions, he claimed to love Researcher Dr. Huang. SCP-8130 smiled for the first time after his claim.

“This is Researcher Doctor Renjun Huang, assigned researcher for SCP-8130. Today I’ll be teaching SCP-8130 human emotions upon his request.”

Dr. Huang awkwardly held a thumb up and smiled into the camera, before reaching out to turn it off - turning it back on when it was placed on the table, and Jaemin sat at it - quietly waiting for Dr. Huang to settle on the chair. Dr. Huang finished sorting himself out before sitting down - Jaemin’s eyes fixed on him the entire time.

“Hi Jaemin, how are you today?”

“Excited.”

Jaemin’s eyes remained fixed on Dr. Huang’s face - while Dr. Huang chuckled slightly. He started laying out some cards with symbols on them - probably because Jaemin couldn’t read. Jaemin’s gaze parted itself from Dr. Huang’s face - following his hands and most likely looking at the symbols Dr. Huang printed out.

“These are some symbols I’ll use to explain the emotions I mean. I’m hoping that it’ll help you sort everything in.”

Dr. Huang pointed at the symbols while keeping his eyes fixed on Jaemin - something Jaemin simply nodded to. Dr. Huang hummed before picking up the first symbol, slowly explaining it’s meaning and the name of the emotion. Jaemin listened attentively, not once losing focus throughout the entire explanation.

Jaemin obviously was even more interested when Dr. Huang got to the explanation of love - something Dr. Huang explained with a slight blush on his face, stuttering slightly and imperfectly describing it, as if it was from experience and on the spot, rather than prepared and thought about for a long while.

Dr. Huang put all of the symbols down after he was done explaining everything - while Jaemin’s eyes were fixed on the symbol Dr. Huang used to represent love. Both of them didn’t make any noise - the room filled by their calm breathing and nothing else - until Jaemin’s eyes fixed on Dr. Huang again.

“I love you too, Renjun.”

Jaemin smiled - something which seemingly shocked the flustered Researcher, as Jaemin never smiled beforehand. Dr. Huang turned even redder - slowly looking away while Jaemin gently took his hand, his eyes fixed on Dr. Huang once again.

“I truly believe that what I feel is love. You’re the reason my soul filaments disappeared, you’re my… mate.”

Addendum 8130-18: On ██/██/████ SCP-8130 avoided all interaction initiated by Researcher Dr. Zhong. Unlike their first interaction, SCP-8130 seemed to tolerate Dr. Zhong more than before.

“This is Researcher Doctor Chenle Zhong, newly assigned researcher for SCP-8130. Today I’ll be accompanying SCP-8130.”

Dr. Zhong frowned slightly before he turned the camera off, turning it back on when he was inside of Jaemin’s containment chamber. Jaemin was seated at the table, slightly frowning when he saw it wasn’t whom he was awaiting. Dr. Zhong settled the camera, looking at Jaemin quietly.

“How are you today, Jaemin?”

Jaemin stood up without a reply, laying down on his bed. He stared at the ceiling, but unlike last time he didn’t begin to escalate right away - though it did seem like he was waiting for any information on Dr. Huang, something along the lines of ‘Dr. Huang has fallen sick’, even though it was likely he wouldn’t hear it ever again, not from Dr. Zhong.

Dr. Zhong frowned slightly but didn’t say anything, still in his place. It almost seemed like Dr. Zhong didn’t know what to say either, and an awkward silence was between them - separating them and leaving them to their own thoughts.

“You can tell me things as well, Jaemin.”

Jaemin didn’t react to Dr. Zhong at all - eyes continuously fixed on the ceiling, while Dr. Zhong now turned his head towards Jaemin. The awkward silence continued, and Dr. Zhong started to fiddle with his fingers.

“I really don’t know how to interact with you when you’re not chatty but also not destroying things. Why aren’t you even upset that I am here?”

“I am. But you’re Renjun’s friend, you matter to him.”

Dr. Zhong bit his lips and seemingly held some tears back - right before standing up and grabbing the camera. He turned towards the door and walked up to it, stopping in front of it. He inhaled deeply, before turning the camera towards him.

“Have a good day, Jaemin.”

The screen turned black again.

Addendum 8130-19: On ██/██/████ SCP-8130 requested to see Researcher Dr. Huang again. Researcher Dr. Zhong attempted to avoid the question, but SCP-8130 insisted on hearing his answer. Upon hearing that Dr. Huang was no longer working at the facility SCP-8130 seemed angered.

“This is Researcher Doctor Chenle Zhong, assigned researcher for SCP-8130. Today I’ll be accompanying him again, seeing if he’s ready to talk to me now.”

Dr. Zhong turned the camera off, before it turned back on right inside of Jaemin’s containment chamber. Jaemin was sitting at the table again, but seemed just as disappointed as before to see Dr. Zhong on the other end of the camera. The camera was set up on the table, but this time, Jaemin didn’t stand up and moved away from Dr. Zhong.

“How are you today?”

Jaemin stared at Dr. Zhong as he sat down - not in the way he was watching Dr. Huang, but rather slightly angered. As if questions were burning through his throat while waiting for the moment to be asked, simultaneously hurting Jaemin while also angering him, and all of it was displayed in the way he looked at Dr. Zhong.

“I’m not okay.”

Dr. Zhong seemed a little surprised by the reply - he probably assumed that Jaemin would mostly ignore him again, taken aback by the answer he got. Jaemin continued to stare at Dr. Zhong, his eyes digging right through Dr. Zhong.

“Where’s Renjun? I want to see him.”

“Why are you not okay?”

Jaemin’s eyes darkened - he seemed a little upset but more angry, while Dr. Zhong seemed rather unbothered. Both of them kept their eyes on the other - and while Dr. Zhong’s expression stayed monotone, Jaemin’s kept darkening, as if he was trying to dig through the entirety of Dr. Zhong for answers.

“Tell me, where’s Renjun? I won’t answer any question until you tell me. What happened to him? Why isn’t he here anymore?”

“You see…”

Dr. Zhong leaned back when Jaemin climbed on the table - while he seemed angered he also seemed like he was holding back, eyes glowing in a weird green-ish color. Dr. Zhong didn’t seem outright panicked, but something in him seemed to give up trying to hide anything from Jaemin, and he must’ve noticed the same as he sat back down on his chair.

“Renjun got fired. He’s not coming back here ever again, but he didn’t want to go. Renjun’s wish was for me to look after you.”

Jaemin’s eyes stopped glowing weirdly - instead lacking any emotion now, as if Jaemin felt empty the second he got told. He nodded calmly, before seeming angered again. Dr. Zhong this time didn’t seem to be bothered by it, and it also didn’t seem like any of Jaemin’s anger was directed towards Dr. Zhong - rather directed to something else, something he didn’t know about just now. Jaemin jumped up - right before the screen turned black.

Addendum 8130-20: On ██/██/████ SCP-8130 initiated physical and eye contact with personnel. Upon paralyzing the personnel successfully, he consumed them quickly. Researcher Dr. Zhong has been spared for unknown reasons, but couldn’t contain SCP-8130. SCP-8130 has fled the facility and is yet to be rediscovered.

“This is Researcher Doctor Chenle Zhong, assigned researcher for SCP-8130. I’ll be… huh?”

The camera was turned from Dr. Zhong’s face towards the CCTV footage, showing Jaemin who was actively going up to personnel bringing him his meal. Dr. Zhong’s chair was pushed back and the camera quickly was taken, right before an alarm went off. Dr. Zhong sprinted - presumably towards Jaemin’s containment chamber.

Dr. Zhong stopped sprinting and panted, turning the camera shakily towards Jaemin. His eyes were glowing again, this time seeming much angrier than before. The camera quickly was placed on the floor, showing Dr. Zhong trying to escort the personnel Jaemin paralyzed - which quickly turned out to be an issue, as Jaemin went up to other personnel and paralyzed them before unhinging his jaw to eat them.

Jaemin wasn’t bothered by any attempts of Dr. Zhong trying to prevent anything - but he clearly realized that Jaemin’s power was growing, probably held back by the small amount of food and the presence of Dr. Huang - and the realization that there was nothing he could do against Jaemin was visible in Dr. Zhong’s eyes.

It didn’t take much longer before Jaemin seemingly rushed past Dr. Zhong - leaving him unharmed but everyone else injured or dead, while Jaemin escaped. The alarms grew louder before a strange voice got through the loud noise of them - right before a tan man stepped into the frame.

“Chenle, baby, please tell me you’re unharmed! Are you okay, Chenle, hey!”

Desperation was ringing through the man’s voice - right before Dr. Zhong fell into his arms, seemingly fainting. The tan man sank to the floor with Dr. Zhong in his arms - holding him close while seemingly begging, which stayed unheard due to the alarms Jaemin triggered - the man looked at the camera, right before the screen turned black.

“That’s crazy dude, I never knew we’d find something like this. I wonder if everyone’s okay?”

Mark looked at Jeno - who simply shrugged in response. Who was he to know? Everything in the videos could’ve been edited really well for all he knows, even though it didn’t seem like that either. Mark wouldn’t believe him anyways - with the way he was cooing at the interactions this Jaemin and Dr. Huang had, seemingly moved by this awkward romance they had.

“Maybe they’re not even real. We don’t know.”

“I don’t think anyone would ever make something this good just to abandon it in the middle of the woods near our campus. It must be real! They must be real!”

Jeno shrugged - he knew his boyfriend very much was into everything paranormal, so bringing the argument concerning the likelihood of Jaemin being real would result in an answer something along the lines of ‘nobody can edit this well’ from Mark (which probably would’ve been a lie anyways, editing all that must be possible in some way).

“Just think about it - the way he said he has a brother named Jisung, and he’s pretty tall! Kind of sounds like our Jisung, no? That Jaemin dude was like 1,90m - Jisung surely hits 2m already!”

“What’s with me?”

Jeno looked behind them - blinking at Jisung, a guy they met on campus whom Mark promptly decided to adopt into their friend group. It didn’t take long until Mark started babying the tall but awkward guy - and Jeno ended up just playing along. Jisung seemed curious why Mark mentioned him, before Mark enthusiastically showed Jisung one of the shorter videos.

Mark seemed excited to show it to Jisung, while Jeno was unbothered - he didn’t expect any reaction from him, anyways. What would he have to react to? It was such a random video, he’d probably not even get half of what’s going on - until Jisung’s eyebrows furrowed, and he squinted at the screen.

“What’s wrong, Jisung? Don’t tell me you believe this as well.”

“Where are Jaemin’s soul filaments? Why are they gone?”

Jisung stood up straight - sinking deep into thought, while Jeno seemed confused. Mark looked at Jisung - standing up again, before looking at Jeno again. Jeno stood up as well, watching Jisung as he picked up the document on Jaemin - skimming through it.

“Do you know where he is? We need to find him.”

“Don’t tell me you really think all that is real, Jisung.”

Jeno tried to argue against the attempt of finding him - but Jisung just stared at him, almost scarily, while Mark seemed thrilled to have someone on his side. Jeno furrowed his eyebrows at Jisung’s reaction, trying to make any sense out of it - why he asked for Jaemin’s soul-something’s and why he was so keen on finding this guy.

“All that is real. I recognize my brother when I see him, and I need to fucking find out where he went and whether he’s safe. He’s always been worse at understanding humans. Who fucking knows, what if these guys were bad? But that wouldn’t explain why his soul filaments disappeared, so I need to find them and find out how he’s doing!”

Notes:

there are tears streaming down my face as i let scp jaemin enter the real world. please be nice to him i hope you enjoyed him and his behavior and i hope you have as much love for him as i do. i know the ending is super open but it's on purpose: if the fic is liked enough i'll write a sequel where renmin kiss and actually are together, jaemsung get reunited and overall everyone gets their happy ending!
