Chapter Text
“It will only be a few more hours, Willa.” The pastel tried to convince her roommate from murdering or severely maiming her.
They were in a worse case scenario, unable to reverse the ‘accident’ from class today, Wednesday and Enid were now stuck telepathically mind linked.
More specifically Wednesday was now suffering from the blondes never ending thoughts and interactions.
At first the mishap had been amusing, the possibility of learning secrets on everyone through the blonde benefited her research for finding her stalker. However, that was over 3 lectures ago and the non-stop sing along between mash-up lyrics was driving her mad.
Which she is surprised about, she didn’t think the bubbly wolf had it in her to cause torture to another being. Her heart swooned at how merciless the blonde was knowing the other girl preference for silence.
“sei pieno di sorprese, amore mio.” She thought to herself.
Enid waited in confused silence by the raven, receiving a silent wave as response. She followed after the Addams to their next destination, lunch.
The quad was nearly uninhabited today, a majority of senior students on a trip. Which meant Enid didn’t have to rush down into the line for a decent meal, opting for skipping next to the raven up until they made it to their table.
Wednesday could do without the idle gossip spewing between the vampire and the wolf having known everything before Enid had the chance to share it.
Her own thoughts were completely drowned by the blonde, immense detail being paid to every idea or suggestion that crossed her, this was seriously going to effect her writing time and night hunt.
While trying to disassociate, Wednesday missed a majority of the other girls thoughts, the tether between them clicking last second at a complement.
(…pretty.)
The young Addams froze, her fork coming to poke at the food in her tray as she glanced around the table, before looking at Enid. They had her head down, playing off her attention towards her phone that wasn’t even unlocked, Wednesday took count of the noticeable dusting along her cheeks.
Did Enid like someone? No, surely she didn’t cause she would know…their link but their besties so if it’s a private matter then the wolf would’ve told her…right?
Wednesday brought up her napkin to wipe at her hands as the vampire called out to her,
“Geez, Addams. Don’t think so gruesomely, our pups heart is gonna give out.”
“Yoko.” Enid reprimanded, receiving a wink in return. The blonde rose from her seat taking a few other trays of their tables garbage with her. Wednesday stood silent for a moment, unable to focus on anything besides the other girls thoughts as she scolded herself.
(Stupid, you can’t just think about her like that. Wednesday is totally gonna hear and that’s sooo embarrassing because Willa doesn’t care about how hot you think-Shit! Shit-No! Come on Enid don’t think about her.)
At the admission Wednesdays plastic utensil snapped in half causing everyone at the table to flinch, a harsh glare painted her face as she rose right as the pastel wolf came to sit back down. The rest of the Nightshades kept quiet as they watched the raven take off.
Each of them displaying their own questioning shock towards Enid who didn’t know how to respond beside giving her shoulders a shrug. They didn’t have time to entertain conspiracies about her given the bell ringing, ending their lunch break.
Enid sat bored a few seats behind the raven, giving a quip here and there silently with Yoko as she writes a few notes down.
Her glitter pen traces a few more letters before she begins to etch mindless hearts into the corner of the page. Her gaze leads back up at the professors words before dancing around the front seats, closer to the front row where she can see Wednesday and Bianca one up each other about information in the lesson.
(It’s so unfair to be that hot and smart. If this wasn’t a core curricular I’d so fail on purpose. I could run up to her and beg for her help to tutor me, then once we sit near each other at the table and she starts leaning in to explain the formula, our eyes will meet and we’ll be drawn to each other and she’ll kiss me.)
Wednesday sat their in disbelief at the blondes imagination, an uncomfortable heat ticked her neck as she turned to look at her, she honestly seen one too many rom-coms to think that would work. A kiss for a mandatory class credit was absurd.
Beside she wouldn’t need to objectify herself like that, the young Addams would drop her own homework in a heartbeat to make sure the blonde was passing.
Enid immediately ducked her head into her arm as if she hadn’t be starring in their direction.
(Shit! Enid! WTF is your Deal! Oh em gee, Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Just don’t look at her.)
Her attention was brought back at the low sound of the sirens laughter beside her. Bianca looked awfully coy smiling at her.
The word slipped more as a dare than a question, no longer interested in a friendly back and forth at the way the siren looked at her as if she knew something.
That something irked a nerve that was best untouched,
“What.”
“You’re as bad as Sinclair is at secrets.”
Wednesday sat baffled and slightly tense at the comment, another chime from the bell alerting yet another class had ended.
“First to bleed?” Bianca offered, hope that the Addams would be interested in fencing away some problematic thoughts. A curt nod was given as they gathered their belongings.
The steel of their blades clashed harshly, Wednesday had taken a defense to nearly every assault the siren threw at her, her mind clouded with the blondes endless gushing over some girl and it was seriously starting to piss her off.
What is it about this person that has the pastel wolf fawning over the littlest habits, Bianca mocked her as she lunged into another attack,
“Really Addams,” the raven blocked off another direct hit, the sirens smirk clear through her voice, “if you aren’t going to take this seriously, then surrender already.”
Wednesday refused to give in so easily, her focus fighting between the sirens attacks and Enid’s rambling thoughts.
(Wow, she’s strong. It should be illegal to look good in everything. I wonder if I practice harder if she’d spar with me.)
Why would Enid want to practice more? She plenty good, she doesn’t need a tutor for-
Another sling from the blades echoed out. Dark eyes trace her opponent, she had to be wrong because….Enid couldn’t like Bianca, right?
The pieces that have fallen together leave a sour taste in her mouth, they aggravate her more than she dared to desire.
Her body staggers, freezing at the crowded gasp, looking down, she takes notice of the large slash in chest of the sirens uniform.
She knows why she ran, she isn’t ready. There’s no possible way it’s true.
The door to her shared room slams open and is just as quickly shut, the uncomfortable heat at her neck back with a vengeance that burns worse now that she understands.
She enters the closet, articles of clothes flying as she changes attire for the afternoon. The clack of the typewriter keys flowing briskly as the Addams forces all focus into her novel.
The door comes to a hushed click, the blonde carrying both their belongings, placing her own bag down before putting Wednesdays folded uniform atop her bed.
“Hey, are you okay?”
Enid stands behind her, pointedly ignored as the raven gives a light hum in response.
“Uh, coach said you’re not in trouble for the whole attack at Bianca.”
“That’s a shame.”
The werewolf holds her tongue for a moment, unsure if she should push the other girl to talk further, but decided not to.
Enid laid propped against her bed, a short giggle followed by the click of her nails at the phone screen. Wednesday was almost done with her writing hour, the blondes mind at a blank led her to believe the potion wore off and she was free from the torture of hearing the wolf swoon over her crush.
The idea of Enid with another person burned her soul, let alone her wolf with someone like Bianca, the very Bianca that sabotaged her for a dumb trophy. Okay, maybe it wasn’t good to be upset with the siren for past actions, especially when they were becoming…Reliable acquaintances?
(…look at me like that. I’d kiss that stupid bored look off her face if she’d let me.)
Enid jumped at the clash from the raven, Wednesday’s hands coming into a hard slam into the desk as she shot up from her seat, approaching the invisible divider of their dorm.
“Enid.”
“H-hey, you done with-?”
“Stop.”
The werewolf waited, her full undivided attention on the Addams,
“It’s never going to work out and I’ll be forced to make more than one trip to various lakes to hide their body.”
“Willa, what are you talking about? is this a confession?,” the blonde gasp loudly, “Wednesday Friday Addams, Did you Just make me an accomplice? I can’t go to jail Willa!”
“For every mutilated dead body, I’ll be sure to mention your name. People won’t dare come within 5 feet of you.”
Enid tensed, “Willa, the joke is no longer funny. What are you going on about?”
“Bianca has crossed me for reasons yet unknown. Therefore I have plotted a perfectly suitable death for such a deceitful act.”
Enid blinked at that, jumping up from the bed as she stood in front of the Addams.
“You can’t kill Bianca, Wednesday! She’s our friend.”
“She’s not a friend. Not after stealing from me.”
The pastel wolf sighed, “are you sure it’s yours and you’re not confused.”
Wednesday’s jaw clenched, her palms closing into fist,
“I’m not confused. You’re mine, you belong to me and no one will take that away.”
