Summary
Ulquiorra was probably far more focused on his game than he should be. He didn’t want to focus on the rest of the world, though. Especially the others in the house with him. His room was the only place he felt safe from the judgment and comments. He would have actually preferred neglect, but instead, every time he left his room, his father was eyeing him harshly and his stepmother acted all but afraid of him.
Not to mention his stepbrother, Grimmjow. He was lucky if he showed his face and didn’t get an unsolicited snarl from the other boy.
They were both seventeen, and their parents had married one another only six months ago - Ulquiorra’s father and Grimmjow’s mother. Ulquiorra had spent as much of that six months in his bedroom playing video games as he could. School didn’t require his attention for him to make good grades, and he had very little interest in eating. He actually didn’t unless food was brought to him. He was probably far too thin as a result, but that didn’t concern him, either. He didn’t have any friends - no one to impress - so as long as he was alive, he didn’t care.
