VR-LA can’t dream. He knows this, an intractable fact about Mechanites like him.
And yet. And yet there are moments when he is recharging when he swears he can see them, all of his old crew. He can hear them, shouting and thumping above decks as he waits helplessly in the dark. And then… and then it shifts, becomes something else, a vision not of past but of future- Kyana. Dani. Finbar. He can’t reach them, can’t help them, he can only sit and watch as they too are torn away from him.
He can do nothing but wait to be alone again.
