Alexander Pierce was looking out of his top story window.
He had just denied the Nobel Peace Prize. It was… a strategic move… he had to earn the trust of the current Director of SHIELD… and not to mention, Hydra wasn’t after peace, and he wasn’t after it either.
He sipped his glass of scotch, and moved to his computer. They had to reactivate the Winter Soldier… some of the leadership of the Bratva were… less than cooperative with their efforts… He logged onto his computer… and opened it to see a mosaic of sparkling cat pictures… more accurately of Fury’s cat, Goose.
He blinked, and the doors to his office opened, and a teenager walked in. If he had to guess, the girl was probably 14 or so. Dark hair, brown eyes, casual clothes, athletic frame. She smiled at him, and then sprawled over his couch like she belonged there.
Fury walked in a few moments after the teenager. His one eye tracked over the girl, then the same eye rolled, but then Fury looked at him. “Pierce.” He greeted.
“Fury.” He greeted the other man. “What’s this about? And who is that girl?” Pierce pointed at the teenager who was smiling smugly at him.
He looked back at Fury, waiting for an answer. “I’m his niece.” The girl answered before Fury could, and Fury groaned… Fury actually groaned, and muttered a ‘Dammit, Coulson’ under his breath, but nodded.
He had found a weakness in the man in front of him. Fury’s niece… if he could kidnap her, and then put her under the Faustus method, then it would serve as a really good way to keep an eye on Fury, and to have leverage over Fury if he needed it. “Hi. I’m Alexander Pierce, and you are?” He offered his hand to the teenager.
The girl grinned, but her eyes were sharp. She offered her own hand, “Daisy Coulson.”
Oh… he had more than just Fury’s weakness here. Phillip J Coulson was Fury’s rookie… and if his plan was successful, then he would be able to have leverage over Coulson, and the Cavalry too. That was one of SHIELD’s rumors… Phil Coulson and Melinda May had adopted a child together… but, he had pushed it off as the work of the SHIELD rumor mill… but now he had proof. Oh, this was a good opportunity. He smiled genuinely, and offered the girl a candy from his table.
He would get this girl no matter what.
The girl took the candy out of his hand, and half jumped onto his couch, but once she was sitting on it, she popped the candy into her mouth, and grinned at Fury, then pulled her phone out, and started doing something on it.
He gestured towards the balcony, but Fury shook his head. So, he asked. “What’s this about?”
Fury smiled, which… was concerning on its own. “This is about Hydra.” He revealed, looking at the photo of him rejecting the Nobel Peace Prize.
Pierce hid his unease under a mask of confusion. “Hydra? Weren’t they destroyed after World War II?”
Fury looked back at his niece, “Yes, and No.” Then, Fury walked around his office, then he looked at his computer… and the wallpaper. He closed his eye, his hand was twitching… but he shook his head, and sighed loudly. He saw the girl still on her phone… which he didn’t bother with. Teenagers these days were addicted to phones.
Fury moved to pour himself some scotch from his table. After getting his glass, he walked over to him, “Hydra went underground after World War II. We found out about them three years ago, and since then, we have been working with a specialist,” Fury’s niece coughed, “and they were able to find out about Hydra. We are working on putting all of those squids down today. Scorched Earth Policy.”
Pierce smiled to hide his shock. “Good.”
They weren’t supposed to find out this early. Zola’s algorithms had seen a surge of SHIELD activities, and usage of the black budget, but they weren’t able to find anything about that… it would make sense that Fury had appropriated the money to support this operation. He knew how thorough Fury was, they would have to rebuild everything… and salvage whatever wasn’t gone. He would have to move the Winter Soldier, and other projects would have to be secured, and Hydra as a whole would have to go underground, until they were ready to take over the world.
Fury grinned, which was more concerning than his smile. “I thought you would say that. You have some… Hydra operatives in the building. I just came to give you the heads up.” Fury revealed.
Then the girl… who snuck up behind him, said. “Heads up.” And then he was on the ground, with his hands behind his back, his face on his carpet, the girl sitting on him, handcuffing him.
In that moment 20 SHIELD tactical agents entered his office, and the girl hopped up off him. The girl stood up with ease, and barked. “You’re late.” The men actually seemed admonished.
Pierce looked at Fury. “What is this!?”
Fury’s grin, if it was possible, grew wider. “This is Scorched Earth on Hydra. I did give you a heads up.”
There was a distinct huff above him, “Excuse you! I gave him the heads up, not you.” The girl commented.
He was pulled up to his feet, and the girl was in front of him, smiling. “Alexander Pierce. I would say that it was nice to meet you… but then I’d be lying. I hope you rot in hell.” Then the girl moved back, and smiled at Fury, “So… Gideon Malick is next, right?” The girl asked… ignoring his shock, and the nervousness from the men…, the girl continued, “I mean… we already took care of the Baroness, Garret, Bloom, the Banker, the Sheik, Dr. List, and the only ones left are Whitehall, Von Strucker and Hale.” They knew.
Fury glanced back at his computer, “Did you find a location for Von Strucker?”
The girl nodded with a smug smile, “Yep. Sokovia… and Hale?” She asked.
“Strike Team Delta is taking care of Hale, and the infestation in the Air Force.” Fury revealed casually, as if he was speaking of the weather.
“Cool.” The girl exclaimed, and continued. “I hope we’ll be done by dinner… I will definitely be grounded if I don’t make curfew. So… chop chop. Let’s finish this. I want to get Whitehall myself.” She ordered the SHIELD agents who were there. The SHIELD agents nodded, and he was hauled off his feet, and dragged towards the exit.
A black bag was shoved over his head, and then he was shoved into a car. Then he heard a gunshot, and everything went black.
It was several hours or days later that he woke up.
He tried to move, but he was restrained to the chair he was sitting on.
Then the lights came on, and the bag was taken off his head. He shook his head, and tried to speak, but his mouth was taped shut. He looked down… his hands were secured, as were his feet. His torso as well. He wouldn’t be able to escape. There was a dull pain in his mouth. He rolled his tongue inside his mouth… his cyanide tooth was gone.
He looked around. He was in a large room, and there were a few dozen people in the room.
Wolfgang von Strucker, Daniel Whitehall, Octavian Bloom, the Banker, Sheikh, the Baroness, Gideon Malick, Lt. Colonel Hale, General Fischer, John Garret, and Anton Ivanov.
Even if he didn’t know all of them… he knew of them. All of them were just as confused as he was… All of them were just as restrained as he was.
Fury. He was responsible for this.
He looked back. Two SHIELD agents were behind him, both of them aiming a gun at his head, and it was the same for the others. 2 SHIELD agents behind each of the members of the room. He looked around the room.
There were six dozen monitors lined up… in a grid, each of them displaying different Hydra bases on the planet… a few that even he didn’t know about. Most of them were from a satellite, but some of them were from the sky, or from the ground.
Then the metal door opened, and the teenager, Fury’s niece, walked in first, then Fury himself, then Natasha Romanoff, Clint Barton, Phil Coulson, Maria Hill, Victoria Hand all walked in, and took their places behind Fury’s niece… Fury came to stand next to his niece… who grinned at all of them, and took her place in front of the huge arrangement of monitors, and Phil Coulson stood behind Fury, to his right, Maria Hill to his left. Barton and Romanoff flanking both of them. Victoria Hand standing off to the side.
“Right. We’re ready!” the teenager called out.
Fury nodded, “Ladies and Gentlemen. All of you are gathered here to watch as we destroy Hydra once, and for all.” Fury showed off the arrangement of monitors behind him, “These are all of the main Hydra bases on the planet.”
“It was a bitch searching for all of them. Like really…? 68 Main Hydra bases across the world?” The girl questioned incredulously, “You guys really take the ‘Cut off one head, Two more shall take its place’ thing seriously.” The teenager airquoted… to which, Most of the SHIELD agents rolled their eyes, and all of them smiled at the teenager… Even Fury rolled his eye and grinned at the teenager.
Then he turned to look at all of them, “Fortunately, we are not just cutting off one head. We’re taking off all of them… all at once. And then burning the body, so it can never grow back.” Fury commented with a smirk.
Which must have been a prompt, because Maria Hill opened a file folder, “What he means is, a simultaneous global strike on all Hydra bases, not just Main ones. A total of 241 targets.” Maria Hill revealed… and then started listing out the location, the capabilities, the men stationed there, function of the base, and how long it has been in operation… of each and every Hydra base on the planet… even the shipment bases, and the recreational bases.
For 20 minutes, nothing but Maria Hill’s voice reading out the primary bases, and then Victoria Hand took over for the secondary bases, and the teenager’s fingers typing on the keyboard were heard. “... And… Secondary base 241 in Prague, A safehouse for Hydra agents, has a few dozen guns and men, and has been operational for 32 years.” Victoria Hand finished with a huff.
There was a brief moment of silence as Pierce and the others tried to understand the severity of the situation.
“Aha! Now it’s my turn.” came from the teenager.
////
Daisy was excited for this day. Truly.
This was the day that she would remember in this timeline… forever. It was one for the history books.
She looked around the room. This… all of this… Unsurprisingly, it was Natasha’s idea.
Russians were big on revenge… or Nat was… either way… it had come up while she was training with Nat and Clint.
Natasha was her ops S.O… *officially* and Clint was her trainer… on weapons.
Even though she was a senior field agent… Fury… that asshole… insisted, because she had outlined that she wasn’t going to middle school or any kind of school again… so he had put her in the Academy.
All THREE of them.
Nat and Clint shared the duties of being her S.O in Ops, Coulson was her S.O for Comms, with Weaver as her S.O in Sci-Tech.
And Fury wanted daily reports. From her, and all of her S.Os… just to see her squirm, and punish her for beating him so… thoroughly on their first meeting. In return she joined with Clint to prank Fury, and post videos of those pranks on the SHIELD mainframe… every month.
The current trending video… and reality, was that everytime Fury used his clearance card, or entered a room… anywhere in SHIELD… the Operating Systems of each and every SHIELD base on the planet… and even the Helicarrier, would announce ‘The Pirate is coming… All hail Furylicious!’ With the inclusion of sounds… appropriate for Fury’s arrival. If it was trumpet and a drumroll… only all of SHIELD knew.
Half of SHIELD had broken down laughing, and the other half had snickered while working. Clint still laughed his ass off every time that happened, despite Fury’s glare. Even Nat and May cracked a smile… which was a feat of its own.
She hadn’t yet removed it… Fury was… furious. But… she could take it. He needed her, and she knew where the line was.
The day had gone really well.
She woke up, had some breakfast… Coulson made them choco chip pancakes… It was a Sunday tradition. Monday to Saturday she would stay, but Sunday was a transitional day. And… yesterday was the last day of his week.
She usually switched between both Coulson and May every week. It was a custody battle… that Fury himself had to settle. He decreed that whenever she was home, she would stay one week at Coulson’s, then one week at May’s, then Coulson’s… and again. Honestly, it was kinda fun.
When she was at May’s, She got to meet her grandparents… from May’s side, something that she had never done in her old timeline.
She and May woke up at the same time, they did Tai Chi together, and then they sparred for a bit… Then May took her to work… at SHIELD… She would put her regular one hour in the gym, and after a shower, go to May’s office… and work there while May worked next to her.
It was peaceful… especially with May’s calm vibrations.
Then they would get lunch together, and then work on what was happening with Hydra with either Maria… who was May’s rookie… which… she didn’t know about that in her past timeline — Maria was cool. She was like an older sister — and then they would return home… and May would teach her mandarin… Daisy always wanted to learn… both in her old timeline, and in this one.
Then they would have some food… whatever it was, then go to sleep after a movie.
While when she was at Coulson’s, she would hang out with Clint and Nat… sometimes Bobbi too… after missions, and spend time with all of them, even Coulson.
Coulson woke up just after she finished her Tai Chi and her training. He woke up at 6, while she woke up at 5… — habit of May’s — they would get ready for work, and she would help out while he was cooking… he loved teaching her, and she liked to spend time with him… so, she let him.
Once breakfast was ready, they would eat together, and then leave for SHIELD. She would spend the day with him, or Nat or Clint or Bobbi… usually a combination of one or two of four, working on her laptop, while she was spending time with her family.
Briefings and stuff, she sat in on, just a quiet shadow at the edge of the room… but, for ops… she would quarterback comms, recon, and intel for Strike Team Delta — she wasn’t allowed to go on ops yet… Coulson, May, Clint, Bobbi, Nat, Maria, AND Fury didn’t want her anywhere near the field until she was of age… even Victoria Hand didn’t want her near the field — and spending time with the other high level agents that she knew were loyal to SHIELD.
Victoria Hand… became a sort of… Aunt? Which… It was weird. In her last timeline… Hand was a hardass, and didn’t like her… now, she was Auntie Vick.
After that… if they weren’t injured — which, to be fair… happened a lot to Clint and Nat. So much so that she was convinced that both of them were just clumsy — she would spend time with them at dinner, and then go back home to Coulson’s and they would usually fall asleep watching Capt. America cartoons.
This was normal for her… even though she would’ve preferred not to move between homes, and not that she doesn’t like having two rooms, in two different homes… It's the undisguised pining that drives her up the wall!!
Both Coulson and May… pine for each other, when the one thinks the other isn’t looking. She doesn’t know how the hell it took so long for the both of them, if this is what they were like in the previous timeline too… they were absolutely hopeless. They couldn’t even realize that they had feelings for each other… but, she’s not worried about it.
She’ll just ‘parent trap’ them.
Easy.
Then just have both of them as her parents… staying in one house, spending time—
Daisy blinked, as she felt Clint nudge her side.
She caused a small tremor beneath his feet, and felt his foot slip… and then a thud should’ve sounded beside her… but Clint, who was the really annoying older brother type… pulled her with him. Daisy rolled, and put Clint’s body to hit the ground first… but apparently Clint had the same idea… but in the other direction… which, they fell on their sides. And before long, they were a pile of limbs… Daisy grappling Clint, and him trying to pin her.
Fury cleared his throat, and raised an eyebrow.
Daisy shoved him off softly with her powers, and stood up. Clint… fell face forward onto the floor. He groaned, “Not fair, Zee! No powers.” She just rolled her eyes, and offered him a hand. He pouted, “Phil!! Your daughter’s cheating.” but he took her hand, and pulled himself up. He stood up fully, and saw most of the room’s inhabitants staring at the both of them, amused smiles on their faces.
She checked the monitors… and the other comms agents who were each responsible for overseeing five teams. 4 Dozen comms agents, with 2 dozen analysts… all for this one huge… global operation. Which… started with her. But… It was Hydra.
Daisy entered the room first… because… well, she deserved it. She was the one who caused all of this. They were finally going to eradicate Hydra from the face of the planet.
She took her place at the computers, and pulled up the list, and waited for her cue.
Daisy waited until Maria and her Auntie Vick finished their parts of the performance… The next part was ridiculous… but, Fury wanted to see all of them squirm before they actually killed them… AND he had bribed her with a blank favor… — carte blanche — which, from Fury… that was going to be priceless. So, of course she accepted… even though it was a bit weird.
Well, it was worth it… and Daisy wasn’t going to lie… a part of her wanted to do this.
As soon as Auntie Vick finished, she jumped up from her chair after a moment, and exclaimed. “Aha! Now it's my turn.”
All of the Hydra assholes’ eyes were on her instantly.
She moved to the center of the room… looking around… these dozen people were the heads of Hydra sometime in the future… somewhere…. And they were Hydra. Scorched Earth policy. “Hello everyone. My name is Daisy Johnson. I am a Level 8 Agent of SHIELD, and once future Director of SHIELD,” Daisy intentionally glared at Fury… she knew his plans to make her his successor… and she was serious when she said that she was going to shoot anyone who tried to do that. ICER rounds were just off the shelf, and were being mass produced… so… she has no problem shooting Fury multiple times every day until he stops trying to pin the successor to the Director mantle on her. “And, I am the reason why we’re here today.” She declared…. Because well… It was true.
Daisy clasped her arms behind her, and donned an air of professionalism… Unlike Clint, she had the capacity to be professional. She started walking back and forth between the current and future heads of Hydra. “I am from the future… 12 years from now. My consciousness came to this timeline 2 years ago, and I have been working with SHIELD to take down Hydra. Scorched Earth policy was all me.” And… she was serious. She was sick and tired of fighting Hydra. She and Mack just barely stopped Hydra back in their timeline… and that too was a long time coming. It’s not going to be the same in this timeline… not if she has anything to say about it.“And, before we execute operation Scorched Earth, — Which, the name was not my fault. It was Fury’s… said it was appropriate — I want to take a moment to tell all of you what would have happened in the previous timeline.” She smiled at each of them.
She stopped in front of Gideon Malick, “The god that you are so hellbent on bringing back? Alvaeus? He kills your daughter, so you turn on Hydra, and give up everything… just to get revenge… but, I kill you. Pulverize your muscles and turn your bones to dust inside your body, while you’re still alive.” And… that was one hell of a kill on her side… she could see the fear and doubt in his eyes.
She then moved to Wolfgang von Strucker… “A homicidal A.I kills you, to send a message to a group of powered people… just because you were experimenting on humans, and enhancing them using power that you didn’t understand. You die… alone, and on a sidewalk… with a banksy on the wall ‘Peace’, as a message for Tony Stark.” Which… She didn’t know about the latter part until she met up with Bruce later after he was helping her with a hangover.
Then, Daniel Whitehall… “You die, with two bullets in your chest, killed by Phil Coulson, over there…” She pointed to her father. “When you are on the verge of getting everything that you wanted.” She taunted him, with a smirk.
Then she pointed at Octavian Bloom, the Banker, Sheikh, the Baroness, “You four… We lied, and convinced Sunil Bakshi that each of the heads were vying for Whitehall’s territory, and then turned you against each other, and you killed each other.” She actually didn’t know how it happened… Bobbi and Hunter were the ones who were on the mission… and she had just relayed what they briefed her on to the others.
She then moved onto Lt. Colonel Hale… “Your daughter died because of Particle Infusion Chamber,” She still felt like she could’ve helped Ruby if circumstances were different, which… they were. Nat could help… and not to mention… Clint… he was a total sucker for something like this. She smiled and hoped that they would be able to help her this time. “...then you died… admittedly trying to help… though… you were trying to reactivate Hydra brainwashing on someone too powerful for you to handle… but still… you were in pain because of your daughter’s death.” She tried reasoning… but it was confusing. Oh well. “You died… crushed into a small ball by gravitational forces because of the Destroyer of Worlds Project.” Daisy saw Daniel Whitehall’s head jerk towards her.
Then General Fischer, “You bit the capsule when you were being captured.” She commented offhandedly. She had looked into the death… and they weren’t smart enough to keep her out.
She stepped up to John Garret, “Yours is a funny story. You spend a decade trying to make a superserum… you make it. Then Hydra has a coming out party, and then… you reveal your true colors. Coulson and Fury there,” She pointed towards Coulson, and Fury, “They fought against you… but they didn’t win. Not truly. You pulled yourself together enough to get upgraded… and ready to face all of us in a fight, when Coulson pulls an 084, and blasts you to smithereens with it, and comes back to the team, saying he found the 084… but he had to use it a bit. Later, we find the blown up pieces of your body… and let me tell you… it was not fun to clean all of it.” Daisy pulled a disgusted face. The pieces were a bit disgusting… especially since they had to clean up and secure all of the upgrades. She and May had to dig out the upgrades, from the blown up parts… which, Eww.
Then, she turned to Anton Ivanov… “You actually become a cyborg.” She smiled at his disbelief. “Yeah… I know. You’re not technically Hydra. Hale here,” Daisy pointed to Lt. Col. Hale, “Had your balls in a vice.” Daisy bit her lip in an attempt to not laugh, but continued, “In reality, it was your head in a jar.” She inclined her head, “I killed a few robot versions of you… and it was just as satisfying each time. Your real body was killed by a friend of mine.” She smiled.
Daisy moved towards Alexander Pierce, “I actually didn’t know how you died, I wasn’t there for it. But… Hydra had a… coming out party in… 10 or so years. At that time, you were killed by Fury.” She flashed her teeth at him, and smirked at Fury behind her for a moment, before continuing. “He put a bullet in your head, just when you thought that your evil master plan was working. Project INSIGHT was in the air, and it was almost active… and Nat and Fury and Captain America stopped your plan, and then Fury killed you.” Daisy wasn’t surprised by the shock on his face, but he was looking elsewhere… Daisy followed his gaze to Fury, who smirked at him, and palmed the gun beneath his trench coat. Daisy rolled her eyes.
Then she rounded back around the room, “It took 4 and a half years after your coming out party, but… My team and I were able to fully eradicate Hydra… Now… I’m just doing the same here.” She shrugged, that was a group effort… Fury, then Coulson, then her… and then Mack… all of the Directors were responsible for that. Fury and Coulson being the Directors who did the most damage. “And stopping the death of thousands of loyal SHIELD agents, and hundreds of thousands of innocent people, by making sure that Hydra is gone is just good business…. Nothing personal… Well, I’m going to be honest… it’s a bit personal, so I’m definitely going to enjoy this next part.” She revealed, and looked each of them over, and then moved to her station.
Fury and Nat gave her a nod… YES!! Clint offered her a fist, she bumped it, and moved to sit in her chair. She checked each and every feed… this was going to be epic. She turned around in her chair, and ordered. “Look at the screens.” Most of them looked away… she nodded at Fury. Fury nodded at the Agents behind each current and future head of Hydra. Each agent stepped up, and restrained each of the Hydra heads’ heads to the chair, so they couldn’t not see this next part.
Fury was grinning… which was a bit surprising, actually… he looked like a kid in a candy store… as he looked at each and every one of them, and nodded to himself… then turned to her, “Are all teams in position?” He knew they were… otherwise they would’ve delayed this even more.
Daisy would’ve rolled her eyes, but nodded.
“Execute.” Fury ordered, and then turned to the monitors, as did most of the SHIELD agents there.
Daisy put on a headset, “All teams, you have a go.” She ordered into the mic. Her order would pass through the 4 dozen comms agents in the other room, and then pass to each and every Hydra extinction team out there in the world.
There was a moment of silence before the bases started blowing up or being destroyed on the screens.
All of the monitors started showing bases and buildings being destroyed, SHIELD Agents and Operators killing Hydra Agents, Airstrikes, Attacks… and each and every one of the current and future heads of Hydra… saw it fall.
“A sight to behold.” Maria Hill said, looking at the monitors. 72 different monitors showing the same thing.
“боже мой” Natasha Romanoff muttered, staring at the monitors. (Oh my god)
The Full and Utter Destruction of Hydra.
Then her station that she was sitting at, started getting information… all of the teams were checking in… and… the list of all targets were being checked off by the analysts… She put up the list checking on the main screen, and resumed watching the Hydra bases’ destruction.
“Yep, now that’s something I’ll never forget.” Barton commented with awe. He put a hand on her shoulder, and squeezed it. She channeled her powers through her shoulder and into his hand, acknowledging his concern for her.
Even Fury… who was unflappable, and known for controlling his emotions and his mask of indifference around others was in awe.
They all watched in horrified silence.
Then the last target on the list ticked off, and she turned back to look at each of the Hydra heads’ faces. Most of them were frozen with shock, but many were twisted in anger, and they were struggling to get out of their restraints… but the SHIELD agents were keeping them secure.
She hopped off the chair, and went to the center of the room. If looks could kill, then she would’ve been dead 12 times over.
Suddenly, Fury started clapping… looking at her. Then Clint joined, then Nat, then her father, then Maria, then Aunt Vick… and each of the SHIELD agents there started too. She blushed under this much attention,
Damn you, Fury! This was planned.
She’s going to get him back. Next month was glitter. And she wouldn’t stop at just his office.
Daisy turned around to look at her family… all of them were smiling proudly at her, and clapping. She glared at Fury… who coughed, and the clapping faded into the background slowly, before stopping fully.
Fury stepped up next to her. “We’ve burned the body, and now it’s time to cut off the head.”
Daisy channeled her powers through each and every one of the heads of Hydra, and clenched her fist. 12 hearts crushed under the pressure of her powers, and she did it while smiling at each and every one of them. This was one thing that she was more than glad to do.
All of them gasped, and struggled in their restraints, but… eventually… they succumbed to death, and she had to agree… This was a good plan. Psychologically. Show them their utter defeat before they actually died. Nat’s plan… but still.
She looked at their bodies. They were dead.
Daisy nodded at Fury, who… didn’t know the concept of overkill, it seemed…, because he ordered, “Execute Operation DECAP.” Which… consisted of each of the heads of Hydra… losing their heads. There was no blood… it seemed that the weapons that they were using to cut off the heads were cauterized. One by one, the heads rolled off the bodies, and onto the floor.
She turned back to Fury to level an unimpressed glare at the man… but he was smiling maniacally. “Was this necessary?” She questioned, kicking at Gideon Malick’s head… that was rolling towards her. Clint yelped as the head hit him in the knee, and stared at her.
Fury looked at her, “Has a certain level of poetic justice.” When she and the other levied an unimpressed look at him… he pointed to the heads, and exclaimed, “We just cut off 12 heads… and I don’t see any other heads growing… Do you?” He pointed at the bodies which were missing a head, each… and laughed.
Daisy rolled her eyes. Really?
Fury looked around the room, and ordered the agents. “Pack up the heads. And take the bodies. We’re burning them…” then he turned to his 2IC, “Hill! Mark today as a mandatory holiday for all SHIELD agents. This needs to be celebrated.” He gestured to the bodies and the screens. “And clean up this mess.” And left the room with a swish of his trench coat. Urghh!! Dramatic much?
She groaned, and looked at Clint. “Grandma wants you to come to dinner. Something about you teaching me Archery”, and walked out of the room. “I’ll see you all for work on Monday!!” She called out, while leaving the room.
Nat smiled, “Lian’s going to kill you.” Clint gulped, and followed Daisy and Phil out of the room… and towards the jaws of hell… also known as Lian May’s house.
Fin.
