A wild-eyed stranger ran up to the door, emerald eyes searching her lapis ones for something; something Pearl did not know if she had.
“Honourable mistress. I…I seek sanctuary.”
Pearl arched an eyebrow, gaze sweeping over tattered green robes hanging on a lean frame, bloodied wrappings around callused hands, and a well-worn crossbow slung across his shoulder; axe strapped to his back.
A hunter, or a lumberjack, if Pearl were to guess. That would explain why this stranger had been out so late in the night; why he had been caught in the storm.
“Sanctuary?”

Or, Pearl is a priestess of Xelqua; named for Santa Perla, La Madre de Girasoles. A godhunter seeks sanctuary from her, and really, who is she to refuse?
As it turns out, she has every obligation to.
Yet, the teachings of Xelqua call her to be kind; to be kinder than necessary.
There is a choice to be made and a journey to walk to unearth the choice.
Xelqua is a God of Change, and Pearl will walk the road she paves. To where, she isn't too sure.
