In the game of dice with shakuni at dyut sabha. Yudhistira, lost everything, his brother, his wife, his kingdom, everything,...
But still didn't stopped playing and even stake himself for the final round of the game. And duryodhana being too confident in his uncle's skills end up staking his best friend Angaraj karna.
But in the last round shakuni's dice messed up, giving yudhistira a chance and luck seem to turn to his side and he won karna.
Which surprise everyone, Angaraj turn to look at his dear mitr, duryodhana look back. "I am sorry...." He whispered helplessly. "Come over here!!!" Ordered dharmraj to his new slave.
Karna knew from the voice of the eldest pandava, that this is not going go well. After insulting draupadi and all, dharmraj is not going to forgive him and definitely will take revenge on him, ten fold.
Taking a deep breath, karna walked at the side of his master and stood there.
Duryodhana want to take back his mitr, demanded another round, and yudhistira agreed.
This time, dwakaraj vasudev Krishna entered the dyut sabha, and stood by yudhistira side, a smile appear on Arjuna's face after seeing mahdava. Dwakaraj return the smile with a nod to his Partha.
With vasudeva's presence. No matter what shakuni do his dice didn't listen to him, and table turned, yudhistira won back, his brother, his wife, indraprastha, everything he lost, he won them back with Angaraj karna in addition.
Karna looked at pandava brothers from the corner of his eye and they all are staring at him as if they are going to tear him apart and chew him alive, like a group of hungry tigers.
The eldest kuruava was ready to stake his entire kingdom for his friend, but his uncle stopped him, and since, the sun also had Already set, As the rules, no the game and no war can start or continue at night, so, they have to stop.
Duryodhana really want to punch that dammed dharmraj on face, and his own self for stake his mitr, and his uncle for losing, but all he could do now is to clench his fist tightly in regret and in worry of what would pandavas will do to his dear friend.
Radheya turned his gaze towards his mitr, the eyes of eldest of the kuruavas met with his eyes. Karna could tell how much guilt his mitr is feeling from his eyes. Karna give his best friend a smile, as if saying 'don't worry, I will be fine...' without letting out any word or sounds from his mouth.
Seeing his smile Duryodhana's guilt increase. Oh, how much he regret putting such a friend in trouble and suffering.
The gentle smile of karna to duryodhana didn't went unnoticed by pandavas and dwakaraj vasudev Krishna and ashwathama. They all felt something burning in their chest. Pandavas took this feeling as anger and hatred, while others didn't even understand or just ignored it.
After the announcement of end of the dyut sabha, everyone started to retire to their chambers, after having a small talk with his cousin, Krishna also left to meet his sakhi draupadi, who was already in chambers, in order to comfort her.
Karna was also about leave, but stopped by his new masters. "Where do you think you're going??!!!" Said nakula. "You're our slave now!!!!" Added sahdeva. "Don't you dare even move without our permission!!!!" Said Arjuna anger was clear in their voices.
"I-" karna tried to say but got cut off by the second eldest of the pandavas. "We are your masters now!!!! You've no right to speak against us!!!!" Shouted bheema in rage
Radheya just lower his eyelids and become silent. He knew, if the pandavas didn't did anything to humiliate him in the sabha, in the front of everyone, then they sure have planned something way more worst, that can only will be done in privacy, not with the present of outsiders.
"Come with us!!! Walk!!!!" Ordered yudhistira, glaring at karna. Radheya don't now why, but he felt a shiver ran down in his entire body. But he fullfil his master's order and started to follow the pandava brothers.
"Wait!!!!" They heard a shout from behind. Hearing the familiar voice, karna immediately turned around, so did the pandava. "Mitr!!!!" Karna shouted while smiling. Duryodhana immediately run up to his best friend, hugging him tightly as if he is his life. But none of the pandava brothers find it pleasant.
"Let go duryodhana, he is our slave now!!!!" Yelled bhima. Duryodhana was about hit him, but got stopped by his dearest best friend. Karna slightly shook his head at the eldest kuruava.
Duryodhana somehow swallowed his anger, and again focus on karna. "I'm really sorry, mitra.... I really never I thought I will lose you.... Please forgive me, I'm sorry...." The eldest kuruava brothers said, folding his hands on chest and bowing head in front of his mitr.
Surprising, the pandavas, they never not even in the their dreams thought that the eldest kuru price, who is filled completely with arrogance, selfishness and pride, would ever apologize and even bow his head in front of anyone, but now the same prideful duryodhana is doing it for a son of a suta. 'is this the end of the world?!!!???' question all pandavas in their heads.
"Don't apologize, don't let you head down in front of me, mitra.... Please, don't... I know you never wanted to hurt me,.... you who give everything that I can dream of, I can never blame you for anything, mitr...." Said karna.
Hearing all that karna said, duryodhana regret and guilt arise more and more. He want to throw away everything he has and just to take this beloved friend of his back.
Duryodhana was about to say something, but got interrupted by yudhistira. "Prince duryodhana, you lose friend in the dice game, and he now is our slave, and we want to give him some work, whatever we want, and you are interrupting it, so, I kindly ask you to leave OUR slave...." Said dharmraj while giving death stare to the kuruava prince.
"Oh yes..." Karna said as he took off his gold crown from his head and other jewelry off his body except his none removable earrings. Then he kneel down and placed the jewelry and the crown at Duryodhana's feet's. Making him and pandava completely shock.
"I am a slave now,.... So, I can't rule the kingdom of Anga you gave me, a slave can't be Angaraj.... with due respect, I ask you, eldest kuruava prince, to please, take your kingdom back.... But, as Angaraj or as a slave, it doesn't matter, if you need me, just call me, I will be there by your side, in any war or fight or whatever,.... I will be always by side, even if it's means risk or even give my life, mitr...." Said karna, still on his knees at his mitr's feet.
Duryodhana has tears in his eyes, which he is somehow controlling, so they won't fall out in front of the pandavas. But, he is really glad to have such a mitr.
The pandava brothers watched the precious moment between two best friends. If it were to be any other time, they would be touched by this scene in front of them, but right now they all are filled with rage anger from all the humiliation that happened to them.
Arjuna just got fed up by all this already. He went to his arch-rival, grabbing his arm, the third of pandava brothers made karna stand on his own feet forcefully. "You are our slave now!!! You can only fell at our feet!!!! And as a slave you shouldn't make your owner wait!!!! You get that!!!!!" Arjuna Growl as a tiger at the formal Angaraj. And start to drag him towards their chamber.
Other pandavas followed their brother.
Radheya turned his head towards duryodhana for last time, and give a warm and gentle smile to his mitr. while been drag away by indraputra.
