Nancy had been working at the lame little ice cream place at the mall for barely a week. She never held any hopes that it would be a gratifying or personally stimulating job, let alone that it would help her on her dreams of dedicating herself to journalism full time until she was successful enough to get out of Hawkins and even Indiana someday.
