Summary
It was in the very first arithmancy class that she discovered Harry was right.
Malfoy was sitting in the front desk, to her left, and Hermione couldn't tell what professor Vector was talking about because she was staring at his arm.So, Harry was right. Well, kind of right: Malfoy did have a mark - but it wasn't exactly the kind of mark her friend was thinking of.
It was a tattoo. -

This was so sweet and so smutty and kinky and with excellent angst. Somehow Hermione being a coward didn’t annoy me that much! It was SO FUNNY sometimes 🤣
Chapter 15: Draco’s birthday piercing, emotionally intimate talk, and Hermione catches Ron cheating on her with Lavander.
Chapter 16: Dumbledore kills Draco
Chapter 29: Hermione is being stupid and needs Draco to break it down for her that she is in love with him.—-
He sighed and released her, running his hands through his hair "Merlin, I suspected you didn't have the normal decorum, but this level of wanto-"
"What?" she interrupted, feeling her cheeks burn.
He hugged her quickly. "It's not your fault, Mione. You're so loving... The wizards before me, they probably abused your trust didn't they? But I won't hold it against you. I love you, Hermione" he looked deep into her eyes, and she forgot everything he had said before.
It was the first time he declared himself for her.
"I love you too, Ron" she hugged him tightly.
"Then we'll sort it out, darling. We're going to fix everything. No one needs to know that you've been...used. And once we start dating properly I can satisfy your... needs, discreetly".
Hermione remained mute in his embrace. She took three, deep breaths as she tried to calm herself.
He was from a traditional family after all. Pureblood. Immersed in the wizard community, that hadn't kept up with the changing society.
That must be the reason behind his outdated views."But" thought a voice in the back of her head, traitorous, as he kissed her again "Draco Malfoy is the king of prejudiced purebloods and he was not in the slightest that chauvinistic”.
"Because he's only fucking me, and he doesn't want to marry me, like Ron implied he wants to! Malfoy for sure have these ridiculous ideals about his future wife too" she replied to herself.
"Oh yeah, what about Pansy Parkinson, who dressed up her sexuality and always had wizards after her? Blaise Zabini, who earlier that year had been caught in a compromising position with a seventh year Ravenclaw - a male one - and shrugged it off, saying his bisexuality was nobody business” she argued with herself.
And there were more examples. Ginny shagging Dean and being open about it. McLaggen and Bones, laughing about being caught by Filch last month. Godric, even Percy Weasley had been caught in a compromising position with Penelope Clearwater in Greenhouse One, when Hermione was just a second year, and neither of them even flinched.
Ron seemed more closed-minded than the average wizard.
Traditional, she correct herself.
And a hypocrite: he'd had no problem snogging Lavender in public.
When she confronted him about that, he shrugged and said he'd always knew Lavender was a slag who was only good for one thing. That she was ‘worthless, unlike you’, he assured her quickly. As if that made anything better.
His official girlfriend for six months, the girl who liked him so much that she literally cried with jealousy of Hermione. This was the girl he called a slag-who-worth-nothing, just because she wasn’t ashamed about her sexuality.Unbelievable.

She had learned her lesson. If the six months she had spent without Draco had taught Hermione anything it was that she couldn't take him for granted.
And that he was her priority.
Not Ron.
Not Harry.
Not even herself, as unhealthy as that was.
Her priority was Draco. So if he wanted to be with him again, she was sorry but fuck Ron. She'd break up on the spot. By letter, by patron, by an ad in the Prophet.
But Draco, who had averted his eyes after her tirade, wouldn't even look at her, pouring himself a cup of tea.
"Aren't you going to invite your parents to your own wedding?" Theo asked.
"No" she said seriously.
“And your in-laws wouldn’t find this odd?”
She shrugged “I’ll make up some escuse”
"And you're going to hide the fact from them all your life?" Pansy asked slowly, as if talking to a child.
"No. I will tell. Eventually. I'll tell them that Draco broke up with me and I turned to Ron for comfort or something" she began to eat, nonchalantly, ignoring the stares of Pansy, Theo and Blaise.
Draco still wasn't looking at her.
"Granger, I hate to even try to help you but don't you think it was much easier to break up with Weasley?" Theo asked.
It would be, Theo. It would be a lot. But she wasn't going to hurt her friend for nothing, if she didn't knew where she stood with Draco.
"No. I've already tried that. I can't let everyone down so I'd rather let myself down and lie"
She said, emotionless."Salazar. You've got problems, Granger" Pansy said in disbelief.
"I know! And I had the worse copping mechanisms too" she agreed, cracking a smile.
