Cafe Ella always feels light and breezy; you couldn't go there on a rainy day. It's not the place to toil over a philosophy reading with a mocha. It’s best to sit at one of the long wooden tables on the upper floor, facing the open window, watching Redfern go by. Try the house-made blueberry bagel with preserves, and if you’re not sick of berries, try the Zombie milkshake. It’s chocolate and vanilla ice cream with raspberries for brains--the complicated taste of Sydney in summer.
