Chapter Text

Hungry, Horny, and tired, all three women had sat in the waiting room. Waiting and waiting, as time elapsed. Wanda eventually woke up with her head in Natasha’s lap. ‘Did you have a good rest, our love?’ Natasha asked, as she ran her fingers through brown hair. ‘Dream of me?’

‘I did, actually.’ Wanda told her in a rough voice. ‘And Carol, about us being here and leaving this place ourselves with one person more.’

‘That’d be really nice,’ Natasha leaned down and kissed Wanda’s forehead.

‘Where’s Carol?’ Wanda asked, not seeing the blonde near her.

‘Here.’ Carol hurried down, with three cups of instant noodles. ‘I brought food.’

‘Couldn’t they have waited one day?’ Teased Natasha. ‘The food tonight would have been exquisite.’

‘And non-refundable.’ Carol added, handing a cup to Wanda.

‘Sorry.’ Wanda said.

‘We don’t care.’ Carol told her. ‘Stand up.’

Wanda did, and as she did, Carol sat down where Wanda had just been seated. She threw the brunette a cocky smirk before tapping her lap.

‘Insufferable.’ Wanda sighed but she did sit down on Carol, giggling as strong arms wrapped possessively around her body.

‘Love you, Wands.’ She kissed Wanda’s exposed shoulder.

‘I love you both.’ Wanda blushed as people were looking at them. ‘Do you think we should change?’

‘Why?’ Natasha asked.

‘Because it looks like we’ve walked in from a red carpet and I’m pretty sure that man is staring at your tits.’ Wanda answered, they were indeed, still in their fancy clothes they had worn in the restaurant.

‘Hey, perv!’ Natasha yelled, as she grabbed her own breasts. ‘Only for them!’

‘Nat.’ Wanda half-groaned, the other half loved this little quirk of the redhead.

‘Yes, Wands.’ Innocently she looked up at the Serbian, trying to look most cute and adorable. ‘Is this working for you?’

‘It is,’ Wanda kissed Natasha softly. ‘Damn you, Woman. But it is working so well for you. A fucking badass with a sweet spot. The bottom with the leather jackets. One of the loves of my life and still the sweetest woman I know.’

‘She’s the best.’ Carol’s mouth returned to Wanda’s exposed back.

‘I haven’t forgotten you, Care-Bear.’ Wanda said.

‘Still not a fan of that nickname.’ The blonde grumbled.

‘What’s wrong with it, Care-Bear?’ Teased Natasha.

‘Nothing.’ She grumbled again.

‘Grumpypants.’ Wanda giggled. ‘I love my protective girlfriend, stronger than anyone I know. With a mind that radiates stubbornness in the best way possible. We all had hardships, but you were the only one to have to go through them without family and for that I think you should be applauded. You are that strong. And I love you.’

As Carol squeezed her tightly, a little blonde came running through the Hospital, with a dark-haired woman behind her. ‘Mommy!’ Yelena yelled.

‘No running in a hospital!’ Hissed Natasha. ‘Come here.’

‘Mama.’ Yelena giggled as the redhead walked towards her daughter and picked her up. ‘I missed you.’

‘We missed you too,’ Natasha whispered in her hair as she held her tight.

‘Did you do it?’

‘Not yet, sweetpea.’ Natasha said as she sat down next to Wanda with their daughter on her lap.

‘Done what?’ Wanda asked.

‘Nothing.’ Carol told her.

‘Slept,’ Natasha said just as quickly. ‘I told her on the phone that we were tired.’

‘Yeah…’ Yelena said unconvincingly, Wanda suspected they were up to something. But at that moment, she didn’t care, she had her ramen cup, her three-favourite people in the world and she was waiting to become an aunt.

‘I’ll be leaving, then.’ Melina said, before hugging her sister and the others. ‘Tell them congratulations.’

‘Thank you for taking care of Yelena for us.’ Wanda told her.

‘Not a problem.’ She walked away, while waving at her little niece. Yelena silently gazed at her mother, the one on Carol’s lap.

‘What is it, sweetpea?’ Wanda asked, seeing her daughter stare up at her.

‘You look really pretty tonight.’ She whispered. ‘Can you get me that pretty someday?’

‘Mama did that,’ Wanda told her, running a hand through Yelena’s blonde hair. ‘She’s far better at it than I am.’

‘Mama?’ Yelena asked. ‘Will you make me pretty?’

‘Yes, we will give you some make-up.’ Natasha assured her.

‘Just know that we already think you’re beautiful, ‘Lena.’ Carol told their daughter, as she patted her back. They all looked up when an in scrubs-clad Clint and Pietro came running through the waiting room.

‘Why can they run, but I don’t?’ Yelena whispered. Nobody answered her but Natasha did hug her closer to her own body, kissing the top of the blonde’s head.

‘Boys!’ Pietro yelled out of breath. He looked so happy as tears streamed down his eyes, his husband’s fingers were laced with his. ‘Twins, both healthy.’

‘They’re cleaning them now,’ Clint said. ‘Then you guys can meet them, afterward we’ll take them with us?’

‘The mother?’ Wanda asked.

‘Will stay in the hospital to regain her strength, she was never in danger.’ Pietro explained. ‘She does, however, not feel the need to stay with the babies, nor does she want them to stay right now. She has no desire to be a part of their lives.’

‘I couldn’t do that.’ Carol breathed. ‘Imagine giving up someone that has been inside you for nine months.’

‘Knowing that there’s a person you helped make out there.’ Wanda added. ‘So tough.’

‘Imagine that being our ‘Lena.’ Natasha said, drawing the blonde even closer in the embrace.

‘We will get you when we’re ready.’ Pietro told them. ‘Lor should be with us by then.’

They left, and not even five minutes later, Wanda’s green-haired sister came running in. She lived further away from them but had gotten in her car as soon as Pietro had called her. Half an hour later, Clint picked up all five women and led them to a room where Pietro sat on a bed with two babies wrapped in bundles in his arms.

‘Hey,’ Pietro whispered. ‘This is Thomas, and this is William. Yelena, do you want to hold one of your cousins?’

‘Yeah.’ The girl grabbed Wanda’s hand and walked towards the bed. Wanda pulled Yelena in her lap and showed the girl how to support the head of the baby. Clint took one of his sons from Pietro and put them in Wanda and Yelena’s hands. ‘So little.’

‘You were like that once,’ Natasha whispered as she sat down next to them, Carol sat down on Wanda’s other side.

‘Not this small.’ Yelena boasted, her head rested against her mother’s as both women softly held the baby.

‘Even more tiny.’ Carol said. ‘Just like mama.’

‘I’m not tiny,’ huffed the redhead, she turned to see a chuckling Clint look at her. ‘What’s your deal, Old Man?’

‘Nothing,’ He smirked. ‘You guys look like naturals with Billy.’

‘Tommy.’ Corrected Pietro, handing Billy to Lorna. ‘And Wanda should be stepping up now. We need playdates for these two.’

‘We’ve discussed it.’ Wanda told the gathered, her eyes not leaving her nephew and if they did, they only moved to her other nephew. ‘But not yet.’

‘Bathroom.’ Yelena whispered in Wanda’s ear.

‘Second door to the right.’ Clint said, after Yelena’s shocked look he tapped his hearing aids. ‘I hear everything.’

‘Come with me?’ Yelena asked, Clint taking his son back from her.

‘Of course, I will.’ Wanda grabbed Yelena’s hand and together they walked out of the room. Yelena didn’t need help with going to the bathroom per se, but this was a strange environment for her, so she wanted one of her mothers to walk with her through the strange and sterile halls.

‘Done?’ Wanda asked as Yelena came out of the stall.

‘Yeah,’ Yelena said walking to the little kid’s tab where she washed her hands humming the song that Natasha had taught her to use during the washing.

‘Mommy?’ She asked when walking back through the halls. ‘Do you love mama and mom?’

‘Yes, very much so, why?’ Wanda stopped in her tracks to crouch to her daughter’s level.

‘Do you love me?’ Yelena asked.

‘Of course,’ Wanda told her immediately and hugged her. ‘I love you, so much, sweetpea.’

‘Can we get a baby as well?’ Yelena asked with pleading eyes. ‘I’ll be a good sister; I already take such great care of Chewie.’

‘We’ll think about it, okay?’ Wanda asked. Yelena nodded and hugged her mother. ‘But a Cat is different than a baby.’

‘I love you, Mommy.’ Yelena said once more. Wanda kept the embrace going, relishing in the movement, and hoping that this moment would stay in her memory forever. Yelena clasped her hand as they walked back to the others.

When Wanda opened the door, she saw her loves sit on a bed together, both holding each other while cradling a baby each in their arms. Natasha had her head on Carol’s shoulder as she looked down at her nephews.

‘Can I take a picture of you two?’ Wanda asked, wanting to frame the picture and hang above the mantlepiece.

‘Yes, of course. Take my phone,’ Natasha said softly. ‘It makes the best photographs.’

‘Where is it?’ She asked.

‘In my coat, should be on that chair.’ Natasha said.

It wasn’t before Wanda reached into said coat pocket, that Natasha realised her mistake. She yelled ‘Wait!’ at the same time as Wanda got a tiny little velvet box out of the coat. The scarlet box felt soft in her hands as the brunette eyed the item.

‘What’s this?’ She asked, knowing the answer already.

‘I’ll get them.’ Clint whispered as he and his husband got the babies from Carol and Natasha. Both women looked nervous as they eyed the other.

‘Do you want us to leave?’ Lorna asked.

‘No, we could leave.’ Carol told them, still unable to move.

‘We insist.’ Pietro said. ‘Come, ‘Lena.’

‘Sweetpea, stay.’ Wanda said as tears started forming in the corner of her eyes. ‘Please, I’ll need you.’

With one hand clutching her daughter’s shoulder and with the other still holding the scarlet box, she stood in silence as Pietro, Lorna, Clint, Billy, and Tommy left. Natasha and Carol were still silent as they too eyed the little box.

‘What is this?’ Wanda repeated herself, shaking the box.

‘Wanda, we’re so sorry.’ Carol began. ‘We didn’t want to do it like this.’

‘We wanted you to have the day of your life.’ Natasha added.

Wanda walked towards them, leaving Yelena behind for a moment, she pushed the box in Carol’s hand. ‘I’ve had the best day in my life. It started with-’ She eyes Yelena. ‘-morning activities.’

Natasha chuckled at that; tears started forming in her eyes. ‘But the restaurant, and everything else.’

‘Then,’ Wanda continued. ‘We went to have a lovely spa day before giving me a grand gesture in the restaurant. Then we had the best ramen noodles I’ve ever had, and I became an aunt. How is this not one of the best days of my life?’

‘Here?’ Carol asked, unsure of herself.

‘Here.’ Said Wanda determinedly, walking to the other bed, and placing Yelena in her lap. ‘My favourite girls are here, this is perfect.’

‘Okay, here it goes.’ Carol got up and down on one knee, her face in tearful happiness. ‘Wanda, we love you so much, never did we think we would have an addition to our little family, we were content with just us three. But you came barging in and made our family whole, maybe not yet, but we’ll get to that. Wanda, you are beautiful, and you complete us. You make me smile so much it hurts sometimes, so, Wanda, please.’

‘Please, Wanda.’ Natasha got down next to her wife, the same expression plastered on her head. ‘We want to have another special day with you, and many days more to go. Our bed has never felt the same as it had done since you joined. Without you it feels cold and empty. You are the one I wake up with, together we all share so much, a house, a daughter, a life. But we want to share you in marriage as well. So, please.’

‘Please, will you become our wife?’ They both said, with tears in their eyes as they revealed this beautiful diamond ring.

‘What do you think I should do?’ She asked Yelena in a soft whisper, she had been crying ever since she had seen the box and knew her answer already but after a day of teasing her, they needed to be taught a little lesson.

‘Say yes.’ Yelena told her, standing up so Wanda could move from the bed and walk towards the kneeling women.

‘My answer is yes.’ She cried, because how could she not? ‘Fuck yes. I love you both so much.’

‘Thank the spirits.’ Natasha said, her hand trembled as she slid the ring around Wanda’s finger.

‘Can we come back in yet?!’ Yelled Pietro through the door.

‘Shush, you might wa-.’ ‘WAAAAAAAAH’ ‘WAAAAAAAAH’ ‘Now you’ve done it.’

‘Come in.’ Said a teary-eyed Natasha as Carol kissed Wanda. Pietro was crying, so was Clint, Lorna was trying to keep it together and the babies were screaming their lungs out.

‘Can we see?’ Asked Clint through his tears.

‘Why, I already told you it was beautiful.’ Pietro said.

‘You knew?!’ Wanda shot at him.

‘Well…’ Pietro stammered. ‘Kinda.’

‘We asked him and Lorna for permission.’ Carol explained. ‘And I assume Pietro…?’

‘Immediately told me, indeed.’ Clint nodded.

‘I knew too, Mommy!’ Giggled Yelena. ‘And so did Auntie Lina.’

‘Traitors, the whole lot of you.’ Wanda grumbled as she hugged her family close towards her. Because this, this was her family, extended or not. They would have to break it to Melina some way, but Wanda expected that she knew that this would happen today during the date.

‘Can I be bridesmaid?’ Yelena asked with glee. ‘Or maid of honour, or flower girl.’

‘You can be one of those indeed.’ Natasha said. ‘But this will be Mommy’s wedding, her decision is final.’

‘Shit,’ Carol cussed, interrupting Yelena’s response. ‘We forgot to cancel Pyro.’

‘Pyro?’ Wanda asked.

‘Well after dinner, we were supposed to go back to NorthStar for a drink then walk through the park where one of the workers there would light some fireworks and we’d drop on our knees for you.’ Natasha explained. ‘Should be in five minutes.’

‘Why don’t go up to the roof and watch from there?’ Lorna proposed.

‘Would that be okay?’ Wanda asked them.

‘Yes, go.’ Clint said with a smile. ‘We’ll stay with the kids and Lor.’

Five minutes later, Wanda, her two betroths and their daughter stood on the roof of a hospital. The adults dressed in gowns and clothes made for the Met Gala, the child in blue fuzzy Stitch Pyjamas. They held each other as they watched the fireworks explode over the city in the distance.

Wanda wished she had one more hand. Her left held Yelena’s and her right Natasha’s while Carol was hugging her from behind. They stayed up there for fifteen minutes, watching the colours in the dark sky, basking in the moment for as long as they could, because as soon as they go downstairs again, their lives would to the next stage.

Not that any of them minded.

Notes:

So I made the decision to make the Twins Pietro's kids, and not Wanda's. Mainly because it didn't feel like them to take two more kids, I don't know... Something felt off when I wanted to add Billy and Tommy to the Danvers-Romanov-Maximoff Family, so I decided to give them to Pietro and Clint.

I hinted to it before so I hoped it didn't come as too big as a shock.

Next part: The Wedding.

But I plan on finishing my Korrasami and Star Wars AU first.
