Summary
Kronos is gone, Gaia has been destroyed; the world is safe. And for the first time basically forever, Annabeth Chase is looking forward to a year of peace and teenage normalcy. Her handsome boyfriend, her senior year, and figuring out the rest of her life.
But Athena has a different idea of what her favorite daughter’s future holds. She calls it a gift, but for Annabeth, after years under her mother expectations, it feels like a final sentence.
The only risk in following the Mark of Athena was her death. But now, Annabeth must face her past, her feelings, and her family if she wants to save something of her future,
Also, that baby is pretty cute.

I wrote down so many things I wanted to comment on and remember about this story, I have quite the unedited notes document now 😅 (Hopefully that will come soon.)
This was so emotional. I think captured the heart of Annabeth's characterisation well. You really understood her insecurities and how her experiences of loss and family and abandonment and expectations to be a demigod have shaped her as a person and how she sees herself. Really loved the insights into her character <3
