Chapter Text
Agei liked to view himself as a man in the right. A man who saw both the good and bad in the world. He finally put his vigilante days behind to care for Himiko and Katsuki. He doesn’t know why he ever decided to take care of them, but it’s one of the things he just doesn’t regret.
However raising two children made him realize what he valued. He valued his family more then his own life. When he got a text message saying Class 1A was attacked all he felt was rage. Heroes cant even protect their young so why should they trust them with citizens.
He made sure Katsuki was not going to push himself when they finally got back home. He started on dinner while listening to Himiko and Katsuki argue about heroics. He could understand them both. Himiko is right about Katsuki needing self persevation and how heroes will only train it out while Katsuki is arguing that being able to help people and help isnt a lack of self perseveration.
He considered his time as a vigilante. Although he does agree he was doing things for the better good there’s a small part of him that whispered about destroying heroes. Let heroes feel exactly how he does watching his friends and family get hurt because heroes don’t care. They only care about fame or money and the illusion of helping everyone will soon break. Agei sighed hoping that when Katsuki realizes that he’ll never be always able to save everyone.
It goes back to a single question. What is a hero? Even history can never decide. Stories of heroes can be viewed as monsters or the villains in other people’s eyes.
He shook his head. Now is not the time for thinking like that. Right now he had to take care of Katsuki.
When Katsuki was finally allowed back in school he was hesitant to let him go, but Katsuki was adamant to go. He will give UA a chance for Katsuki.
