The League of Brass is a band of thieves.
Everyone knows that, but no one’s been able to prove it, not enough to keep them from coming into town and certainly not enough to keep them from leaving it, their pockets full of ill-gotten silver. It should be harder, they say, for a handful of freaks to steal so well, their clockwork parts gleaming in the smog-choked sun. They say their leader has brass hands with poison hidden in the fingertips, and there’s a girl who drinks blood with her pointed metal teeth.
