"Of course, something like this would only happen when we came to an ice planet. Why would we agree to meet anyone here?!"
"Whoa, whoa. Calm down, Master. We'll get you out there as soon as we can!"
Hera slowly came to with a soft groan and forced herself to sit up while trying to ignore the way that the world in front of her seemed to spin around her slowly. To herself, she quietly wished that it would stop doing that.
"Kanan?"
There's a noisy clatter of a device dropped to the ground and a soft, surprised curse. Then Kanan is suddenly there at her side, and she leans into him with a light sigh, molding herself to his shape.
After a moment, his lips gently brush her forehead with a relieved sigh, and she wraps an arm around his waist gently.
"Hera, you're awake; I was so worried when I discovered that you weren't awake yet. Thank the Force; you're back with us now. The others are on their way here so we won't be stuck here for much longer."
"Mmmm, that's good. Where are we exactly?"
She feels the movement of Kanan's shrugging as she leans against him, reveling in the feeling of his body warming hers against the cold of the cave that they were currently stuck in.
"No idea exactly, but the others have our beacon signal. Just let me take care of you until they get here and figure out how to get us out of this blasted cave."
"Alright, alright."

Kanan came to with a shout behind his lips which turns into a soft groan instead as his body protests the decision to bolt up from the prone position he hadn't known it had been laying as. Hadn't he just fighting against someone?
He could have sworn that they had been fighting someone; Mercs or annoying Stormtroopers, he couldn't quite recall who their enemy had been before he had been knocked out.
A flash of heat fluttered in his thoughts; an explosion perhaps?
Hera.
He groans again as a calloused hand gently cups the side of his face, and he opens his senses to the Force; sensing the worry and concerns that makes her already bright presence shine brighter before him.
"Hey."
"Hey, yourself, love."
He smiles at the relieved grin that he can hear in her voice as he squeezes her wrist gently. A wayward thought nags at his tired mind, so he makes himself ask it, in an attempt to bypass the pain trying to make itself known.
"How are you? And the others?"
"We're all fine, my heart. Except for you."
"What happened?"
He listens to her breathe out slowly before Hera answers him, her voice alight with her pain.
"You were hurt seriously in that ambush when a gas tanker suddenly blew up, protecting Sabine and me from the heat and shrapnel of the blast. I love you, Kanan, I don't want to lose you."
"I'm sorry for getting hurt out there. I love you too, Hera."
"Shush dear I know, I know. Just let me take care of you now."
Falling silent, he lets her take of care of him as she had asked him to do. Kanan falls back into the blackness of the void, feeling warmed and grateful under Hera's caring ministrations.
