He didn't know how, but Sugimoto had permeated so deeply into his head, Ogata couldn't stop thinking about him. Ogata had been in control of the situation during the months they met at the bar to -after several drinks- end up having sex in some hotel afterward. As they barely saw each other at work, it hadn't been that much of a hassle to hide their relationship. A relationship that, for all intents and purposes, they didn't even have: they were just two men who got together on occasion for some casual sex. But after several months of the same routine, Sugimoto had stopped going to the bar.

Sugimoto wasn't the kind to complicate things on purpose. In the case he actually had a girlfriend and said girlfriend had a daughter, why would he further complicate his own existence by keeping Ogata as a lover?
