Summary
Steve Rogers was never more happy the day that his soulmark came in, but it led to nothing but disappointment and shame when his soulmate ignored everything he scribbled across his arm; as the years went by, the reason became unmistakable: why would his soulmate want a weak, wretched little thing like him?

Oh I wish their happiness part was longer because the angst was so much more. I wonder why Steve wasn't instantly told that his soulmate must not be born yet. His mom just said maybe they're shy. I feel like everyone would know there's the possibility they will be the older soulmate.
I love that Tony followed the feelings to Steve while thinking about how ridiculously cliche it even is that he can. I love that Tony swooped in and asked Steve if he'd like to go with Tony. I am so happy that they're instantly interested in being together.
Concerning Howard and Tony’s name. I just assumed Howard didn't see it. Maybe Steve's name was uncovered but it wasn't documented in his files or people were respectful of not looking at others' marks.
Poor Steve and Tony both alone and feeling defective for so long. Plus Tony always feeling cold. I wonder if he feels too hot now considering he's probably developed habits over the years to counteract the coldness he feels from Steve.
It's kind of funny that Tony takes notes on his arm since no one has ever been received them. I can picture him once in a while writing on his arm by habit and Steve replying in the middle 😄Great fic. Thank you for writing.
