Chp. 36
When 11 reboots the universe, Rose appears back on his Tardis. Rose is around 130 and had already watched her human doctor grow old and pass away, along with many other family members. She doesn’t seem as traumatized in this story as some others. No torture from Torchwood or anything like that has been mentioned. Rose ends up showing up at the Ponds wedding and ends up integrating herself into the story from that point. Pretty early on, both Rose and Amy get kidnapped by the silence while dress shopping and they’re both replaced with a flesh version of themselves. Timeline is similar to canon and Amy still gives birth around the time that the Doctor sorts out the whole flesh thing and heads to find them at demons run. Amy and Rose have gotten pretty close between their shared adventures and snarking on the Tardis and being trapped in a white cell together while taking care of baby Melody. Rose called Melody “Melly” and Amy ends up making her the godmother and the Doctor the godfather. In this story, Jack, Mickey, Martha, Rory and the pirates that they all saved from the siren/medic are who come to save Amy and Rose on demons run.
Rose also has moments where she “goes wolfy” with these bursts of golden energy. Shes able to make her eyes glow at will, but controlling the actual energy in times of crisis is tougher. When she does bigger releases, like helping to get baby Melly out of Amy without an emergency c section or stopping a line of gunmen from successfully firing at them, she tends to pass out for longer periods of time (days).
The doctor is on his last regeneration in this story. (The war doctor and TenToo count as a regeneration in this story) Rose technically is growing old but just very slowly, and the more wolfy energy bursts she does, the faster she will age. Also, Rose and the doctor have been able to telepathically communicate/connect ever since she’s appeared back on the Tardis. They speculate it’s reminiscent of the bond she had with her human doctor.
Rose and the doctor officially start a romantic relationship beyond excessive flirting after demons run. Their first kiss and first “dance” are that same night before they drop of Jack/Mick/Martha back home and head to look for the newly discovered Melly/River. Also, River is Jack’s mom in this!
River’s story doesn’t change much, other than she’s Rose and the Doctor’s goddaughter. She still has all the events from canon play out, but with less actual evidence that she somehow marries the Doctor. She still flirts but that’s more due to her natural tendencies than real romantic interest. We don’t know how she knows his name in the future just yet, but we know there’s no bad blood between Rose and River. River called Rose “Auntie” or “Tardis”. Also, River is kind of part Tardis herself similarly to Rose.
Most recent story leads them to a quarantined planet that has a virus which targets species with 2 hearts. The doctor wanted to propose to Rose here since it has many similar elements to Gallifrey, but obviously something has to go wrong and that’s how Rory ends up being separated from them. This place has areas that allow time streams to move faster and people can live whole lives in one day. It’s meant to have people be able to watch their loved ones with this “one day plague” be able to live a whole life in 24hrs. Rory ends up being stuck in the section where the time streams runs faster. Amy goes after him with glasses that allow the doctor and rose to see what she sees, and we just found Rory again but it seems he’s significantly older now.
