Summary
Fyodor speaks of instants: just one is enough to condemn a man's life and turn it into perpetual suffering. Therefore, Nikolai could not kill him in just one; he had to do it in a slow, intimate way to demonstrate his determination in all of them.
They end up in a bathtub that is slowly turning red. While hurting each other in a perverse game, suffering is confused with pleasure and Nikolai's will begins to waver before Fyodor's charms.

Summary
“The wind god will pay the price of his disobedience with his freedom. Before the eyes of the assembly, we shall remove his wings. Permanently.”
“No!” The hall erupts with the echoing clatter of chains as the Anemo god strains against them. Even at this distance, the fear in his eyes is unmistakable, as is the undercurrent of terror in his voice. “No, please, you can take anything else—I’ll do anything else—anything but that! Please!”
—
Venti has always been a rebel. As punishment for his insolence, Celestia makes an example of taking away the one thing most important to the god of freedom: his flight.
Or: Celestia cuts off Venti’s wings. Morax cares for him, in the aftermath.
