Renowned divorce lawyer and as out as she can be without getting scolded by her family, she takes every day as it is given, and will not open her arms (and heart) to the first arrived.
It is good, then, that Rhaenyra Targaryen, star Formula 1 driver for Firelight, prodigy on her way to reign over the Championship, and madly taken by her, is a lot more special than most.
Not that Alicent will make it easy for her.

She moved far away from her child and former husband.17 years later, Alicent met a young alpha who shared similarities with her long lost daughter. But she chose to ignore it, because she's in essos, valyrians live here among other races.
The alpha introduced herself as 'Rhaella'.

Summary
Alicent Hightower would like to make one thing perfectly clear to the Gods, herself, and anyone who has ever known her: she knows without a shadow of a doubt that Rhaenyra Targaryen loves her. That part is not up for debate.
Unfortunately, Alicent has also historically been the one to initiate most things between them.
Which means she really should have predicted the problem.
