“Do you still practice karate?” Chan suddenly asks, breaking the comfortable silence between them. He doesn’t bother turning around, too focused on not slipping on a wet branch or stepping into a pool of mud.
“I stopped that like ten years ago,” Felix laughs. Above him, something rattles in the trees, and he rushed forward, eager to not be left behind. “Has your memory grown poor the older you’ve gotten?”
Chan huffs, stopping in the middle of the track for the sole purpose of having Felix slam into him.
Bewildered, he tumbles back, rubbing his palm against his nose. “Fuck, you,” Felix groans, playfulness lingering in the air.
“I’m not that old, my brother is.”
“How old are you anyway?”
“Too old for you.”
